Well, I suppose I do at least. I thought about this team pretty well and I think it's pretty well put together. There were a couple gimmicks that I really wanted to use and I am not really wanting to take them out, but am perfectly open to modifying them. Sorry I don't have sprites or any pretty pictures, I hope that there are people out there still who can deal with reading a couple words. This is a wifi team and I do the standard rules, though I, like many do not recognize wobbuffet as OU.
Mismagius (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/40 Def/216 SDef
Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Mean Look
- Perish Song
- Protect
- Taunt
---
This I think is a strong opener, though I am considering a different set for a perish trapper gengar. While Mismagius is quite a bit more sturdy and can switch in on special sweepers and perish song them, gengar is able to do a hypnosis-based perish. There are no attacks on this, but I don't think that will be too much of a problem. I think if I go with taunt then I will have to think about scratching some Def EV's for speed.
Hitmontop (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 HP/252 Atk/6 Def
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Bullet Punch
- Rapid Spin
- Fake Out
- Mach Punch
---
This cleans up all that is going on and deals with rocks and spikes. I ditched close combat in a gamble of sorts that I would no have enough time to get off a good STAB attack. Leftovers over Life Orb that is generally on a technician set because I want it to have at least a bit of longevity.
Cresselia (F) @ Flame Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/108 Def/148 SDef
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Psycho Shift
- Ice Beam
---
This is another gimmick that I love greatly. It shuts down physical sweepers with psycho shift (basically a guaranteed WOW) and is my special wall. The burn could be problematic in the long run though.
Gyarados (M) @ Leftovers
EVs: 212 HP/16 Atk/180 Def/ 100 Spe
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Stone Edge
- Waterfall
- Taunt
---
This one is new and covers my weaknesses to powerful fighting moves like close combat as well as other Gyarados. It can also handle Weavile a little bit because it can take all of Weavile's moves with relative ease.
Gliscor (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Veil
EVs: 252 HP/6 Atk/252 Def
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Ice Fang
- Stealth Rock
- Roost
---
I've never used gliscor and am having trouble with his set. He does provide for some problems that I'll discuss later.
Lucario (M) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Steadfast
EVs: 6 Def/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Aura Sphere
- Vacuum Wave
- Dark Pulse
- Dragon Pulse
---
I enjoy lucario thoroughly. When I first played the game and got riolu I thought, wow, this pokemon looks tight. He helps tear apart some of the common walls in this game and can allegedly 2HKO a blissey with STAB aura sphere. Steadfast for speed increase if flinched, hopefully to get first hit if i live, though with lucario's defenses I might not live through a hit. Psychic is for heracross which wreaks havoc with my team otherwise and dragon pulse for those pesky dragons.
OVERVIEW:
I think the biggest problem with my team is its weakness to dark and ghost that come in the OU forms of Gengar and Weavile. Weavile with pursuit and Gengar with shadow ball need to be countered in some way or form. Basically, what hurts cress hurts me greatly.
OH WAIT, SPRITES!
Threat List
Garchomp: Specs Luke or burn with cress
Blissey: Specs Luke or slaking
Gengar: This is a problem and hopefully I get a switch in with luke or slaking on a shadow ball. Could be dealt with with hitmontop and bullet punch.
Gyarados: Cress if I decide to put on charge beam and I could burn it or I could go to slaking and do a monstrous return.
Tyranitar: Hitmontop or Specsluke
Lucario: Specsluke, maybe hitmontop. If it is a physical then gliscor can take it.
Heatran: Major problem, fortunately, on wifi you don't see to many.
Metagross: Cress, though have to be careful about pursuit. Slaking works too with EQ
Salamence: Specs Luke, Gliscor if physical and I decide on Ice fang, and cress if I carry ice beam
Bronzong: Fire punch from slaking
Infernape: Cress takes him on or mismagius can do a trap
Swampert: might be fun to trap with mismagius, could be done but would be better with taunt
Weavile: MAJOR PROBLEM.
Skarmory: Could be trapped with mismagius but another reason why I am considering taunt
Forretress: Mismagius can trap, specs luke can do some damage too. Fire punch from slaking
Gliscor: nice to burn with cress, specs luke can handle with dragon pulse I think. Might be able to trap with mismagius
Cresselia: shadow claw slaking or shadow ball specs luke
Starmie: cress
Breloom: cress, magius can taunt though I am not sure how well he stands up to seed bombs.
Heracross: Big Problem too.
Togekiss: Hopefully Cress can deal with it.
Celebi: Don't see too many on Wifi and I am not too sure, I guess just trap it would be best.
Hippowdon: Trap, though I would want to taunt. Grass knot on cress for this?
Azlef: I hate this fellow, I guess cress and force a switch and kill him later on another switch
Dusknoir: burn, specs luke too.
Snorlax: specs luke, slaking
Jirachi: slaking
Suicune: can't really think of an explicit counter
Vaporeon: trap and kill or slaking
Porygon Z: Not too much of a good switch, cress is the only thing that can deal
Electrivire: Cress Burn
Machamp: Cress and burn him
Zapdos: I really don't know what I would do to this.
Yanmega: Perish song him too, but this proves a problem because I might be hypnotized, I just need to get a sub off.
Ninjask: Mean look and perish song the bastard. If I see him, he'll be a lead too
Alakazam: Cress, but I am not too sure. Maybe hitmontop would have to go to get this guy.
Aerodactyl: Hitmontop
Rhyperior: Hitmontop, cress to burn, or specsluke as long as I don't take an EQ
Tangrowth: I don't really see many of these.
