I need help from the very best

Well, I suppose I do at least. I thought about this team pretty well and I think it's pretty well put together. There were a couple gimmicks that I really wanted to use and I am not really wanting to take them out, but am perfectly open to modifying them. Sorry I don't have sprites or any pretty pictures, I hope that there are people out there still who can deal with reading a couple words. This is a wifi team and I do the standard rules, though I, like many do not recognize wobbuffet as OU.

Mismagius (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/40 Def/216 SDef
Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Mean Look
- Perish Song
- Protect
- Taunt
---
This I think is a strong opener, though I am considering a different set for a perish trapper gengar. While Mismagius is quite a bit more sturdy and can switch in on special sweepers and perish song them, gengar is able to do a hypnosis-based perish. There are no attacks on this, but I don't think that will be too much of a problem. I think if I go with taunt then I will have to think about scratching some Def EV's for speed.

Hitmontop (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 HP/252 Atk/6 Def
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Bullet Punch
- Rapid Spin
- Fake Out
- Mach Punch
---
This cleans up all that is going on and deals with rocks and spikes. I ditched close combat in a gamble of sorts that I would no have enough time to get off a good STAB attack. Leftovers over Life Orb that is generally on a technician set because I want it to have at least a bit of longevity.

Cresselia (F) @ Flame Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/108 Def/148 SDef
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Psycho Shift
- Ice Beam
---
This is another gimmick that I love greatly. It shuts down physical sweepers with psycho shift (basically a guaranteed WOW) and is my special wall. The burn could be problematic in the long run though.

Gyarados (M) @ Leftovers
EVs: 212 HP/16 Atk/180 Def/ 100 Spe
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Stone Edge
- Waterfall
- Taunt
---
This one is new and covers my weaknesses to powerful fighting moves like close combat as well as other Gyarados. It can also handle Weavile a little bit because it can take all of Weavile's moves with relative ease.

Gliscor (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Veil
EVs: 252 HP/6 Atk/252 Def
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Ice Fang
- Stealth Rock
- Roost
---
I've never used gliscor and am having trouble with his set. He does provide for some problems that I'll discuss later.

Lucario (M) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Steadfast
EVs: 6 Def/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Aura Sphere
- Vacuum Wave
- Dark Pulse
- Dragon Pulse
---
I enjoy lucario thoroughly. When I first played the game and got riolu I thought, wow, this pokemon looks tight. He helps tear apart some of the common walls in this game and can allegedly 2HKO a blissey with STAB aura sphere. Steadfast for speed increase if flinched, hopefully to get first hit if i live, though with lucario's defenses I might not live through a hit. Psychic is for heracross which wreaks havoc with my team otherwise and dragon pulse for those pesky dragons.

OVERVIEW:

I think the biggest problem with my team is its weakness to dark and ghost that come in the OU forms of Gengar and Weavile. Weavile with pursuit and Gengar with shadow ball need to be countered in some way or form. Basically, what hurts cress hurts me greatly.

OH WAIT, SPRITES!
Threat List
dpiconani445.gif
Garchomp: Specs Luke or burn with cress

dpiconani242.gif
Blissey: Specs Luke or slaking
dpiconani094.gif
Gengar: This is a problem and hopefully I get a switch in with luke or slaking on a shadow ball. Could be dealt with with hitmontop and bullet punch.

dpiconani130.gif
Gyarados: Cress if I decide to put on charge beam and I could burn it or I could go to slaking and do a monstrous return.

dpiconani248.gif
Tyranitar: Hitmontop or Specsluke

dpiconani448.gif
Lucario: Specsluke, maybe hitmontop. If it is a physical then gliscor can take it.

dpiconani485.gif
Heatran: Major problem, fortunately, on wifi you don't see to many.

dpiconani376.gif
Metagross: Cress, though have to be careful about pursuit. Slaking works too with EQ

dpiconani373.gif
Salamence: Specs Luke, Gliscor if physical and I decide on Ice fang, and cress if I carry ice beam

dpiconani437.gif
Bronzong: Fire punch from slaking

dpiconani392.gif
Infernape: Cress takes him on or mismagius can do a trap

dpiconani260.gif
Swampert: might be fun to trap with mismagius, could be done but would be better with taunt

dpiconani461.gif
Weavile: MAJOR PROBLEM.

dpiconani227.gif
Skarmory: Could be trapped with mismagius but another reason why I am considering taunt

dpiconani205.gif
Forretress: Mismagius can trap, specs luke can do some damage too. Fire punch from slaking

dpiconani472.gif
Gliscor: nice to burn with cress, specs luke can handle with dragon pulse I think. Might be able to trap with mismagius

dpiconani488.gif
Cresselia: shadow claw slaking or shadow ball specs luke

dpiconani121.gif
Starmie: cress

dpiconani286.gif
Breloom: cress, magius can taunt though I am not sure how well he stands up to seed bombs.

dpiconani214.gif
Heracross: Big Problem too.

dpiconani468.gif
Togekiss: Hopefully Cress can deal with it.

dpiconani251.gif
Celebi: Don't see too many on Wifi and I am not too sure, I guess just trap it would be best.

dpiconani450.gif
Hippowdon: Trap, though I would want to taunt. Grass knot on cress for this?

dpiconani482.gif
Azlef: I hate this fellow, I guess cress and force a switch and kill him later on another switch

dpiconani477.gif
Dusknoir: burn, specs luke too.

dpiconani143.gif
Snorlax: specs luke, slaking

dpiconani385.gif
Jirachi: slaking

dpiconani245.gif
Suicune: can't really think of an explicit counter

dpiconani134.gif
Vaporeon: trap and kill or slaking

dpiconani474.gif
Porygon Z: Not too much of a good switch, cress is the only thing that can deal

dpiconani466.gif
Electrivire: Cress Burn

dpiconani068.gif
Machamp: Cress and burn him

dpiconani145.gif
Zapdos: I really don't know what I would do to this.

dpiconani469.gif
Yanmega: Perish song him too, but this proves a problem because I might be hypnotized, I just need to get a sub off.

dpiconani291.gif
Ninjask: Mean look and perish song the bastard. If I see him, he'll be a lead too

dpiconani065.gif
Alakazam: Cress, but I am not too sure. Maybe hitmontop would have to go to get this guy.

dpiconani142.gif
Aerodactyl: Hitmontop

dpiconani464.gif
Rhyperior: Hitmontop, cress to burn, or specsluke as long as I don't take an EQ

dpiconani465.gif
Tangrowth: I don't really see many of these.

Lol @ Copy and pasting my threat list asshole.

Then how about I flame you for stealing your threat list off one of my old teams threat lists? Why call him an asshole especially on something that might not be 100% true?

And I think he is using psycho shift cress so he wants flame orb

No I didn't lol I don't even know who you are.

Well, to be truthful, I did take somebody's threat list. Mainly because I wanted some sprites there and because I thought that it was a good group of threats to discuss counters to. I don't see how that makes me an ass. I just saved some time and recognized "your" list for what it is, well done. I do want flame orb on cress because of psychoshift. And in the case that Kinglerdude did the threatlist, then kudos to him, it's a boffo threat list. Now uh, anyone got some comments for my team that can help deal with its weaknesses?

I don't mind I just thought it was funny, sorry if you took it as a flame.

You rely too much on Specsluke to kill your threats. Also you really don't have your threats listed properly a counter can switch into what its countering Specsluke cant come in on half of what is listed.

You also don't have a Yanmega counter, Perish Song can be easily predicted and avoided.

few things for right now

Missy for this team wants Will-o-wisp / Thunder Wave / Shadow Ball / Thunderbolt/Pain Split. It helps more then the DB set

Hitmontop really enjoys life orb as it increase his power a lot

Ditch knock off on gliscor and use ice fang

Im not wild about slaking maybe use a cbtar to benfit gliscor? You can keep him though

Switch missy up because you have big problems to gyarados.

On Cresselia use Ice Beam because you have a big prob with chomp too

Hope this helps.

Don't know why I didn't notice this at first but basically anything carrying Close Combat can rip through half of this team. Perhaps make room for a Gyarados? I think he would help with a lot of your current threats.

I was thinking I might put Tbolt on Mismagius, and switch Slaking for gyarados. I think that I will go with kingler and ditch knock off; it's nice to get off items, but not essential. I will be going ice beam on cress. I think Gyarados could take some CC and it will be able to deal with other gyarados because what's a better counter than the pokemon itself?

One bit of advice after skimming through your team, if you see your opponent has a weavile don't let your hitmontop die, because its going to eat you alive otherwise.

Yeah, I can OHKO weavile with hitmontop and a priority. Or, gyarados makes a nice switch because it can take all of weavile's hits, especially after the intimidate.

yea as for mismagius tuant might be good considering it has no attack moves that way you dont get tuanted yourself. dark pulse might be considered over shadow ball because even though they cover the same types dark pulse can hit normal types

But you are using choice specs so it is not like you can switch up moves. What if they bring in their porygon z on the expected shadow ball? You have to switch. But if you use dark pulse it can hit it on the switch (And this is like if you are facing a crippled gengar or something and need to finish it off)
