i need help with a monotype flying team.

uhh this is the first time ive used this so idk how this works entirely.

so im playing on a cobblemon server, and we have gyms which are run by players. i am the flying gym leader, and my the format is doubles along with having a party of 6 but only having 4 pokemon each round (like in vgc)

in the new update, we get every mainline game gimmick (tera, mega, dynamax, z-moves)
legendaries are not currently in the server. a few people have mewtwo and tournament winners get one of the legendary birds, so i may be able to get zapdos in the future. i do not know if we will ever get the genies. (paradox and ultra beasts are all going to be added soon, but not all paradox mons are in the modpack yet. i do not know which ones are missing.)

also a rule: if a pokemon changes type for the entire rest of the battle to your type, you are allowed to use it. so, i can give up my tera and instead use it on any mon to change them to flying and they will be allowed. this also means megas that change to non-flying type are not allowed.

i wanted to ask for help, as with the new updates to the modpack i didnt really know what to use.

You really shouldnt post threads without permission from the forum mods here, but this question would be suited for the monotype discord. I am locking this thread (preventing other people from replying), but feel free to post this team in the monotype discord if you'd like/want to get more input.

There really isnt a thing like Monotype VGC and monotype tends to have every balanced mon (legendary or not) legal, so we dont really have a good feel of the meta you mentioned. Since its doubles though, you kinda have to be wary of spread moves like Rock Slide or Blizzard which are Flying's weaknesses. Due to this, Steel/Flying mon like Celesteela (the most offensive of them) would be kinda great. Rain (Pelipper + Torn/Thund/Zapdos) may also be viable, to counter opposing weather and enable these guys to do major damage and pelipper (wide guard) to shield them from slide or blizzard. Electric immune guys like Lando is nice too because damage, Dnite could be considered due to priority and stuff.

However, even tho I mentioned a lot of Pokemon, I might still be wrong because I might have a wrong idea of this meta. But I hope this helped and you could go to the monotype discord if you want more info, someone else might have a better answer.
