Gen 7 I need tips for my team

Hello, this is my first time here. I'll attempt to make as few mistakes as possible. So, I tried to make a semi-stall team. It works till 1500 but now I am facing problems to gain more ratings. I always take some time to understand the current situation at my battles, try to make predictions and play at my best. But still something is missing and I guess that it's in the build of my team. Please tell me if I need to fix my EVs spread or change some pokemon.

From what I know, semi-stall consists of 4 walls with 2 sweepers, so I had build my team according to it.

MY TEAM

1655135717862.png

Amoonguss @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpA
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Spore
- Giga Drain
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Toxic

Amoonguss is defensive wall in my team. Rocky helmet is to do chip damages on opponent constantly during the battle. EVs are max on defence and 8 on special attack to do some more expected damage. Rest are are all on HP. With regenerator as the ability it serves longevity to the team. Hidden power fire is for Ferrothorn, Scizor and other common grass type pokemon. Giga drain is specifically for Mega Swampert in rain teams. Toxic as to poison to opponent.

Chansey (F) @ Eviolite
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Counter
- Seismic Toss
- Heal Bell
- Soft-Boiled

Chansey is key special defenser in my team, with eviolite increasing her bulk. EVs are as normal as they are, max on defence with bold nature. Counter is to punish the Pokemon who can deal a great physical damage on her but can't OHKO. I previously had toxic instead of heal bell, but stallbreaker set heatran with toxic was hard to deal with. Heal bell cures poison on chansey by heatran and frequent seismic toss kills heatran with somewhat less EVs on HP to increase speed.

Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Flash Cannon
- Lava Plume
- Earth Power
- Stealth Rock
Heatran is key special attacker on my team and stealth rock setter. EVs are spread to max it's bulk and special attack. Heatran is one of the few pokemon with impressive bulk and special attack at once. That makes it perfect for being as a sweeper in a semi-stall team. While playing as a special attacker heatran also completes the team core of G-W-F (grass-water-fire). Lava plume and flash cannon are STAB moves with earth power for late game chansey sweep (sometimes when battles are too long and chansey is still alive at opponent side but already pp stalled) and a good ground type move coverage.

Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 248 SpD / 8 Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Defog
- Pain Split
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump

Rotom-wash is another special defensive pokemon in the team. With EVs to max the bulk. RotomW was good in start with will-o-wisp instead of defog to punish physical attacker mainly in rain team. Newbies tend to directly switch to Swampert after setting rain, will-o-wisp was a nice punishment for them. But with more experience now I am able to counter rain team without it, which was toughest to handle for me. RotomW have it's normal set as special defensive pokemon.

Scizor-Mega @ Scizorite
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Bullet Punch
- Swords Dance
- Roost
- Knock Off

Mega-Scizor is main attacker in this team. With EVs spread to max it's bulk and attack just like heatran. Scizor previously had defog instead of u-turn (later changed to knock off). But defog was limiting scizor to use its full power with already a dependency on sword dance to boost attack. U-turn was a good move for punishing dark and psychic type pokemon which are very common but knock off was more beneficial for me. Roost is to increase its longevity.

Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Moonblast
- Wish
- Protect
Clefable is another defensive pokemon in my team and now working as a wish passer. EVs are spread to max it's bulk. Unaware ability provides an upperhand on highly buffed pokemon. I am still not sure on clefable's correct moveset which will be beneficial for this team. Previously I was using unaware clefable common set: cosmic power, calm mind, moonlight and moonblast.

Sorry for my bad English and grammar. I hope you all will provide me some nice suggestions and tips so I can improve more. Looking forward to those tips.

Hey gamer! I like the first draft!

I think that on the defensive side you've got some good cores going, but the better support Pokemon Like Scizor, Heatran and Rotom-W, you may need some heavier offense and speed control

Major Changes

:amoonguss: -> :landorus-therian:

Amoonguss isn't really needed here as the bulk in your team comes from Chansey's insane SpD, Heatran's good typing and decent stats and Scizor's amazing typing and specific spread which has been changed, but we'll get to that. Landorus-T provides you with great damage output and solid speed control. I don't think I have to explain much about this mon.

:clefable: -> :magearna:

Magearna does Clefable's role, in this sense, far better as an offensive Special Attacker. You can opt for Calm Mind here, but I think that the Shift Gear set will provide you generally a good setup special attacker, as Magearna may be bulky in typing, but cannot take any hits from Heatran, Landorus or Garchomp. Electrium Z is good here for Toxapex and Tapu Fini mainly to note, but you can run Fairium for that high damage output on any neutral targets, or Fightinium Z for Heatran.

Minor Changes

:chansey:

Heal bell is redundant as Chansey has Natural Cure, Heatran and Scizor are immune to Toxic, and Heatran can take any of Rotom-W's predicted Will-o-Wisp's onto Scizor or Landorus. Just watch out for Hydro Pump on that one.

:heatran:

Heatran has been changed to fully SpD to better replace Clefable's defence. It still acts as a rocks setter and can still trap Toxapex and Chansey, but can easily take more from Rotom-W's Volt Switch, Tapu Fini's Scald and ultimately gives it more range in defence. It mainly matches up against Latas and Latios far better, but should be weary of Latias' Earthquake.

:rotom-wash:

Changed to the correct spread, Defensive is much better here for your rain matchup and has enough speed to outspeed modest magnezone and some Heatran variants. Also replaced Defog with Will-o-Wisp as Landorus acts as hazard removal.

:scizor-mega:

Changed to the Impish spread as in the metagame, Offensive Scizor doesn't do too well as it gets blocked by Tornadus with Rocky Helmet or Heat Wave, or both. Impish allows Scizor to better counter Ash-Greninja and The Lati twins.

Thanks for your reply, new team looks much more stable now, but I have few questions regarding this new team. Would you mind answering them?

1. As Landorus-T came instead of Amoonguss, what about the initial core (Fire-Water-Grass) of the team now? Isn't a team without a core quite weak?

2. Amoongus and Clefable are removed from the team, so won't their removal affect the team longevity?

I didn't get time to test the team myself, that's why these questions are revolving in my mind. I will test it as soon as I get the time.

Thanks for your reply again.

(btw, that Untitled 2044 looks insane emojisky.com-400-3.png .)
