IronPress (Zamazenta) (HP, Any) @ Leftovers / Chesto Berry
Ability: Dauntless Shield
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Spe
Tera Type: Fire
Jolly Nature
- Iron Defense
- Body Press
- Crunch
- Roar / Rest

Zamazenta employs a combination of high Speed, phenomenal stats, and solid movepool and Ability to thrive in the metagame. Iron Defense makes Zamazenta even more physically defensive while also enhancing Body Press, which enables Zamazenta to turn its defensive prowess into an offensive threat. Crunch hits the Ghost-types immune to Body Press. Lastly, Roar allows Zamazenta to force out opposing boosted Pokemon such as Dragon Dance Necrozma-DM as well as prevent opposing phazers like Whirlwind Ting-Lu and Skarmory from forcing itself out, while Rest alongside Chesto Berry allows Zamazenta to heal itself while ridding it of burn and paralysis. Leftovers offers Zamazenta a source of reliable recovery, while Tera Fire grants a valuable immunity to burn and eases the matchup against foes such as Ho-Oh, Zacian-C, and Iron Moth.

Zamazenta doesn't require a huge HP donation due to its pre-existing Uber-caliber stats, meaning it can act as a dump slot such as Special Attack for Calyrex-Ice; however, it still appreciates a decent boost such as from Arceus-Ghost and Eternatus to make it even bulkier. In return, Zamazenta is able to switch in on and threaten Pokemon like Weavile, Ting-Lu, and Iron Treads which can be annoying for the aforementioned gods to deal with. However, Zamazenta also prefers some support of its own, as despite having Crunch, it can struggle into opposing Ghost-types like Pecharunt and Sinistcha due to its relatively mediocre Attack. Thus, Dark- and Ghost-types like Weavile, Lokix, and Arceus-Ghost are appreciated. Furthermore, although Fairy-types are not immune to Body Press, they resist all of Zamazenta's attacks, making Pokemon like Primarina, Clefable, and Arceus-Fairy extremely annoying. Clefable is especially troublesome, with Unaware ignoring the boosts from Iron Defense and Dauntless Shield. Thus, Poison- and Steel-types like Pecharunt, the aforementioned Eternatus, Necrozma-DM, and Attack-boosted Tinkaton are welcome. The latter two are especially valuable, as they resist all of the moves that Zamazenta is weak to.

I reordered the moves here strictly because this set is named IronPress so feels weird with IDef in the 4th slot lol

Zamazenta employs a combination of high Speed, phenomenal stats, and solid movepool and Ability to thrive in the metagame. Body Press enables Zamazenta to turn its defensive prowess into an offensive threat, while Crunch hits the Ghost-types immune to Body Press. Roar allows Zamazenta to force out opposing boosted Pokemon such as Dragon Dance Necrozma-DM as well as prevent opposing phazers like Whirlwind Ting-Lu and Skarmory from forcing itself out. Lastly, Iron Defense allows Zamazenta to make itself even more physically defensive while simultaneously boosting Body Press. I would reorder the moves here to reflect the changes in the order of moves within the set. Leftovers offer Zamazenta a source of reliable recovery, while Tera Fire grants a valuable immunity to burn and eases the matchup against foes such as Ho-Oh, Zacian-C, and Iron Moth.

Zamazenta doesn't require a huge HP donation due to its pre-existing Uber-caliber stats; however, it still appreciates a decent boost such as from Lunala and Eternatus to make it even bulkier. Thus, Dark- and Ghost-types like Roaring Moon, Lokix, and the aforementioned Lunala Arceus-Ghost are appreciated I personally like showcasing variety when it is allowed and in this case, since Lunala was already mentioned, I nixed that mention here and replaced it with Ghostceus. Thus, Poison- and Steel-types like Fezandipiti Pecharunt not terribly sure on the viability of Fez and Pecha is most definitely a solid partner, the aforementioned Eternatus, Necrozma-DM, and Tinkaton are welcome. Steel-types The latter two in fact are especially valuable, as they resist all of the moves that Zamazenta is weak to.

- Roar we can talk it over on discord but do u think that resto chesto is a potentially viable slash? imo it is but if you only want to write about lefties roar then that's very much ok
Zamazenta doesn't require a huge HP donation due to its pre-existing Uber-caliber stats; however, it still appreciates a decent boost such as from Lunala Arceus-Ghost and Eternatus to make it even bulkier. Could also say how it benefits a lot from just small hp buffs, like from ice rider, kyogre, and dusk mane Could also, also mention that, due to how high its stats already are, that zamazenta works well as a "deadslot" for a lot of gods while still being viable, such as special attack for ice rider, and attack for zacian / arceus / kw In return, Zamazenta is able to switch in on and threaten Pokemon like Weavile, Ting-Lu, and Iron Treads which can be annoying for the aforementioned gods to deal with. However, Zamazenta also prefers some support of its own, as despite having Crunch, it can struggle into opposing Ghost-types like Pecharunt and Sinistcha due to its relatively mediocre Attack. Thus, Dark- and Ghost-types like Roaring Moon, would rather write weavile or samurott here, as they are often better at punishing ghosts multiple times over the course of a game. moon comes in once, pops the booster, and risks getting statuses or just dead weight due to having to hit the field too early Lokix, and Arceus-Ghost are appreciated. Thus, Poison- and Steel-types like Pecharunt, the aforementioned Eternatus, Necrozma-DM, and Feel like you could specifically refer to attack-boosted tinkaton here to make it clearer that it helps remove the pesky fairies Tinkaton are welcome. The latter two are especially valuable, as they resist all of the moves that Zamazenta is weak to.
