I think I lurked around enough to try to make a team...

I am gonna try my hand at a blitzkrieg or rush team.

dpmfb094.png

Gengar@Black Sludge- This is an item that can backfire on your other pokes, replacing it is a nice option.

EVs: 252 Sp.Atk/252 Spd/6 HP
Modest (+Sp. Atk -Atk
- Thunderbolt
- Shadow Ball
- Hypnosis
- Focus Bomb/Energy Ball/?
Starts out and does sleep and quick hits. Having trouble with the last slot.

Gyarados @ Leftovers

Adamant(+ Atk -Satk)
- Dragon Dance
- Aqua Tail
- Ice Fang
- Earthquake
Bulky Gyarados and is a problem pokemon for alot of teams.

Lucario@Choice Band
Evs: 42 HP/252 Atk/216 Spd

EVs: 240 HP / 56 Atk / 76 Def / 136 Spd
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Wish
- Light Screen
- Psychic Headbutt
- Somersault
Ok lets face it I needs SOME kind of defense and support and this jirachi by phuquoh looks too good to pass, except i put in Light screen as imo it support this team better than reflect

dpmfa466.png

Electrivire@ Life Orb- possibly replace this, but im not sure.
EVs:Ok quite frankly i have no idea and need major suggestions on this

- Megahorn

There are probably a whole bunch of weaknesses i am missing off the top of my head, well that's where you guys come in heh.

@ Icyshock: Black Sludge isn't going on any other Pokemon so its fine on Gengar. Waterfall has more acc then Aqua Tail, but whatever floats your boat. With AS on Rhyperior, it not only sticks to one move, but is STILL slower than most everything else.

@Thread Starter: I fail to see the blitzkrieg in your team. Throw AS or CB on something to make it more of a lightning fast/ powerful team.

Bleh, such a pessimistic first post.

yeah i edited the topic title after realizing a lack of speed, it's more of an offensive team. My bad for not specifying and using incorrect terms, I wasn't thinking clearly x_x

ok wow i just realized i have a 4x eq weak i will try to switch some stuff around and i am open to suggestions

So should I make it timid to outspeed Infernape?

Also I was considering putting Gliscor somewhere to help the EQ weak , maybe over Ryperior as jirachi is kind of a good normal resistance but im a little iffy on that.

So would swampert be a good addition to counter infernape? If so would it be safe to assume that it would go over Jirachi?

Yes, yes it would. I would say put it over Lucario though. Also, maybe use a Special Jirachi. Not only am I sick of seeing that pwnsome physical Jirachi, but a little more special offense won't hurt your team at all.

The only Infernape without Grass Rope wil be the CB ones, which you shouldn't fear, anyway. You need speed more than anything to "counter" Infernape.

Swampert is a bit of a shaky counter for Infernape. If it has Scheme and Grass Rope, Swampert is screwed. Infernape is very hard to counter as it's so versatile, but your Gyarados does a decent job of taking on any non Thunderpunch sets. He can survive a SD Stone Edge (just) and anything the Scheme sets are likely to have. As your team stands, Infernape has trouble switching in on anyone.

You're right that your team needs more special defense, but using Light Screen over Reflect on Jirachi screws him up somewhat. With Reflect up, Dugtrio's Earthquake doesn't do much to him which is vital to keeping him alive. While he can survive one if need be, he'll have barely any HP left to come back pass Wish around. You can replace him (that's right, I said it) with Starmie or Manaphy, who will both help with Infernape. Plus, Starmie can spin away Stealth Rock for Gyarados.

Gengar should be Timid. Destiny Bond will stop Infernape sweeping if you don't give it away too early. Or you can try Explosion.

I'd consider going ultra defensive with Rhyperior (252 HP/Def). He'll shrug off most physical hits (even Earthquakes) and he'll still have 317 Attack.

Also, completely disregard any of IcyShock's "advice". His suggestions are fucking awful. Sorry, I tried not to "mini mod", but Brick Break on Rhyperior? Good Lord.

hehe yeah that goes without saying i suppose :x

yeah thanks for all your help man

I'll probably go starmie with spin, and should I use AG starmie with spin or old advance standard?

Black Sludge takes away HP form every single other poke except Gengar. It only restores Gengar's HP.

Don't ever, ever put Rapid Spin on an AG Starmie. You'll get off one, maybe two spins before dying to a combination of Spikes, Sandstorm, Stealth Rock and opponents straight up attacking you. Go with Timid, 320HP, 308 Speed and the rest in SpA if you want a spinner that will last.

ok updated team with that starmie jumpman and also put some EVs on electrivire

May I ask what 308 speed outspeeds though? i assume adamant/modest infernape?

Black Sludge takes away HP form every single other poke except Gengar. It only restores Gengar's HP.

Black Sludge is on Gengar. Black Sludge only affects the holder. That way, it only affects Gengar. No other Pokemon is affected by Black Sludge. And FarmerWithShotgun, 308 outspeeds the base 90 Speed group. It isn't 307 because with a boosting nature, sometimes one EV raises a stat by 2 points.

And yes, it's for Infernape as well, depending on how many people decide to make is Adamant/Modest. Timid can indeed get to 333/340 or whatever, but you're either sacrificing HP or SpA to get there on a spinner, and it may or may not be worth it to give up so much SpA.
