Pending I think if you become no1 in a format you should get a reward of some kind. Eg a custom avatar or a special rank

I feel like becoming no1 in a format is such an achievement that is deserves some form of reward

on a serious note, ladder seasons already have the medals, and other formats are considered unofficial or are minor things like petmods or other metas, and would certainly not get this.

it would overlap with ladder medals, and saturate the ca population, if all you need to do is prove that you were #1 at some point.

a lot of formats already have a ladder achievements thread that gives a custom avatar, and doing all the achievements is harder than just topping ladder once
