Hi, im gonna post the team that i was using for a long time, it was a pretty solid team in the past, however, when DWLoom decides to come to OU, this team become nearly useless, because Breloom can destroy really all me team very easy.
I don´t remember very well the team-build process, so, sorry.
At a Glance
The Team
Item: Leftovers
Nature: Relaxed (+Def, -Spd)
Trait: Intimidate
Ev´s: 252 HP. 252 Def, 4Sp.Atk
-Earthquake
-U-Turn
-Hidden Power [Ice]
-Stealth Rock
Landorus-T is a great physical wall, one of the choosers who can say: i can counter Terrakion.
Thanks to Intimidate, Landorus-T becomes more difficult to take down, letting it to swich in more situations.
I prefer to choose HP Ice because most of Special Landorus and others Landorus-T want to use Landorus-T as a set-up fodder, so HP ice catch a lot of them on the switch, and destroys Salamence and Dragonite (With SR Damage) without the risk of fail 20% of the times with Stone Edge; in addition, HP Ice can damage Breloom and is the best to stop Garchomp.
U-turn let me gain the control of the match, somewhat very important in this team, with Ferrothorn´s Spikes, Terrakion, Latias etc...
I prefer to run a defensive ev´s spread because without any ev´s in Atack, Lando run 326 in Attack, more or less the same as 100+ mons.
Item: Choice Band
Nature: Jolly (+Spd, -Sp.Atk)
Trait: Justified
Ev´s: 4 HP. 252 Atk. 252 Spd
-Close Combat
-Stone Edge
-Earthquake
-Quick Atack
Here´s a monster, I consider Terra one of the most fearsome sweeper in the game, with his Rock + Fight type, and Close Combat + Stone Edge, Terrakion become nearly impossible to safely switch in, a combination only resisted by Nidoqueen/King, Golurk and Toxicroak, so Earthquake was my third move in order to KO Toxicroak + Nidoking, and 2HKO both Nidoqueen + Golurk (this last two mons are not common in OU so...), i have never like X-scissor, it only got 10 more power than Stone Edge in mons such as Lati@s or Reuniclus, but that doesnt matter, cause Latios get OHKOed by Stone Edge too, and both Latias and Reuniclus get 2HKOed by X-scissor and Stone Edge, so... The only reason that i like X-scissor is for its ability to take down Celebi, but with Signal Beam Rotom-W, Celebi is not a menace, but really it doesn´t mattered, cause more of the time you will be spamming CC or SE. The worst of eQ is that it isnt good to get locked with it, however, with X-scisors you got the same... cause Dragonite, Salamence, Landorus, Ferrothorn, Forretress etc.. can use X-scissor as a set-up fodder too.
In last slot, Quick Atack can safe the situation if a pesky Alakazam doesnt want to die, and other situations against a lot of threats such as Latios, Garchomp, Breloom etc...
Item: Leftovers
Nature: Relaxed (+Def, -Speed)
Trait: Iron Barbs
Ev´s: 252 HP. 88 Def 168 Sp.Def
Ivs: 0 Spd
-Spikes
-Leech Seed
-Power Whip
-Gyro Ball
Here´s standard Ferrothorn, it can set up spikes, that can be very useful when spamming volt-switch combination with Landorus-T + Rotom-W, as well as making Terrakion even more fearsome (With SR + 1 layers of spikes, Slowbro get 2HKOed)
Iron Barbs damages U-turns spammers, and is very useful when the opponent has got little HP.
Leech Seed is as important as Spikes, because it keeps Landorus and Heatran HP in highs levels, when opponent send in Fire -> Heatran, when he send in Fight -> Landorus-T, meanwhile, the other Pokemon will lose like 1/2 of the HP before he can makes nothing.
Power Whip + Gyro Ball was an obligatory combination, as with Power Whip Ferrothorn damages Gyarados, a dangerous poke when Rotom-W has trick his Choice Scarf or is dead, and Gyro Ball can take Dragonite without Fire Punch, secure KO against Terrakion withouth the risk of fail, and severely damages Lati@s.
Item: Leftovers
Nature: Timid (-Atk, +Spd)
Trait: Levitate
Ev´s: 252 HP. 4 Sp.Atk. 252 Spd
-Dragon Pulse
-Calm Mind
-Recover
-Substitute
Latias is a very useful Poke that can check a good portion of the metagame, and is a big pain for defensive teams without a good phazer. Latias helps me to counter Special Landorus, that gives a lot of problems.
The evs are standard, maximize HP to set up the first more often, and maximize HP for more bulk. I prefer to run Sub in the last move to the ability to win Ferrothorn in 1v1 (If the opponent isn running Gyro Ball + Twave), set up in the face of Jellycent, scout against Pursuit T-tar + Scizor, evade being tricked, evade status etc...
After 1 Calm Mind Latias become nearly impossible to wear down by the special side, making the opponent to sent in strong physical mons such as Scizor that will shuffer from entry hazards and i can safely swich in Landorus-T and continue scouting with U-turn.
I have consideer to using Psyshock in the last slot, and its a good option for taking out Breloom, but i doesn´t like it too much as i love Sub.
Item: Leftovers
Nature: Calm (-Atk, +Sp.Def)
Trait: Flash Fire
Ev´s: 252 HP. 4 Def. 252 Sp.Def
-Lava Plume
-Toxic
-Roar
-Protect
What can I say about Sp.DefTran? its a monster and can be very difficult to beat if you haven´t got a powerful and fast physical sweeper such as Terrakion.
Thanks tho the slot that Heatran got free cause it isn´t using SR, it can use both Toxic + Roar, with Toxic, Tran can poison oponents such as Lati@s, Volcarona, Politoed etc... if they want to prevent him and try to use Sub (Such as CM Latias) as well as damage oponents out with entry hazards, recover HP thanks to Leftovers and using Protect to evade surprises.
Lava Plume is perfect in ToxicTran, as it destroy Steel types that can think they can come in, only another Tran can safely switch in.
Item: Choice Scarf
Nature: Timid (-Atk, +Spd)
Trait: Levitate
Ev´s: 4 HP. 252 Sp.Atk. 252 Vel
-Volt Switch
-Hydro Pump
-Signal Beam
-Trick
Here´s the Revenge Killer of the team, Rotom makes the volt-turn combination with Landorus-T, Rotom-W was useful thanks to its Water + Electric type, than can help me to resist Water + Fire attacks if Latias is in a pinch and allowing me to damage bulky-Waters.
In the third slot i choose signal beam over other Hidden Power cause its a good move to take off-guard Celebi or Latios and i really doesn´t need Hidden Power so, i prefer the ability to eliminate Celebi in the early-game or 2HKO Latios.
Trick in the last slot is very useful, it let me open the bottle against Stall teams, however, against offensive teams, Rotom can sacrificate the Scarf in order to make a difficult threat more easy to stop.
Threat List
-
Breloom: Is the thing that destroy the team in the late-game, once Loom got his SD i can say GG, Loom can OHKO Landorus-T, destroys Ferrothorn, Terrakion, Heatran and Rotom-W with Mach Punch, the only mon that is faster than Loom and resist Mach Punch is Latias (2HKOed by Mach Punch). However, Latias cannot KO Breloom with Dragon Pulse, that´s the only reason why i consider to use Psyshock.
-
Volcarona: The bug becomes very dangerous with HP Ground, as it make an amount of damage to Heatran, fortunately for me, Volcarona shuffer 50% from SR and is not very common, and he cannot set up Quiver Dance on my team, because all my moves + Quick Atack will take down Volcarona (SR Damage), so in the worst of the cases, i have to sacrificate 1 Poke. The only Volcarona that becomes really really dangerous is the Life Orb + HP Ground, with Rapid Spin support.
I don´t remember very well the team-build process, so, sorry.
