XY OU I went for a walk - Mega Scizor balance ye

And once again I'm too bad at teambuilding to do it allone or to make a team without Scizor. Nothing new, mostly pretty generic stuff that synergizes more or less well type wise.

Some music to make this generic team more pleasent to look at:

Punchy (Scizor) (M) @ Scizorite
Ability: Light Metal
EVs: 248 HP / 48 Atk / 112 Def / 100 SpD
Careful Nature
- Knock Off
- Bullet Punch
- Swords Dance
- Roost

This thing made it onto my team as pretty much always. More defensive spread and Roost are there so I can actually set up on defensive stuff without getting outsustained. Knock Off cuz op, Bullet Punch should be pretty obvious aswell. Even if I don't get it to set up it's still useful as defensive switch in since it has a bunch of defense EVs and it can pick up weakened stuff which is kinda obvious (again) since that's what Scizor has been doing since gen 4.

._. (Rotom-Wash) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 216 Def / 44 Spe
Bold Nature
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split

Generic defensive Rotom-W, Scizors best friend. Physical defensive spread so it won't get worn down by birds or Keldeo as much. Pain Split and Lefties seem more reliable than ChestoRest to me. Not much else to say here.

._. (Latios) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Defog
- Roost

Latios usually just punches holes into teams with Draco if there are no fairies and is good to kill stuff that the rest of the team struggles with like Tentacruel, Keldeo or Conkeldurr. For now I went with Defog and Roost but I don't end up using either very often so I might change that in the future.

Meh (Landorus-Therian) (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Superpower
- Knock Off
- U-turn

Aaaaand another generic mon. Since I have no problems with switching into ice attacks and stuff like Mold Breaker Excadrill seemed troubling I figured running this thing would be a good idea. I also didn't have a scarfer yet so I might aswell put it on this one. Not using Stone Edge because I got Ttar already and I hate missing.

Elona (Tyranitar) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Sand Stream
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Crunch
- Pursuit
- Rock Slide
- Superpower

Ttar is mainy here for stuff like Charizard. Since its main purpose was switching into stuff and trap/kill it and not to die to random coverage moves I went with Assault Vest. Rock Slide since I hate missing as I stated before. Moveset wise it's basicly a banded Ttar that is a lot more tanky and doesn't hit quite as hard. I think I still get all the kills I need without CB though.

Factory (Ferrothorn) @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 88 Def / 168 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Power Whip
- Leech Seed
- Stealth Rock
- Protect

Last but not least I picked that thing since I needed something with Stealth Rocks. I figured that I have enough ways of dealing with Fire mons/attacks that I could afford to run ferro and scizor. No Spikes since I have Defog and stacking them seems kinda meh if your team is not made for it. Protect is nice to get some Leech Seed recovery and to scout for random fire coverage moves. Power Whip > Gyro Ball since I already got Scizor with Bullet Punch and Rotom-W is annoying for most of my team.

So yeah that's about it. I already played on the ladder with it a bit and it's doing okish but not as good as I would like. Every kind of feedback is appreciated

Hello! Nice Team, before I get to add some suggestions, could you add some replays so I can see how it can work out? Oh and you might want to be aware of some fire type users when using Scizor and Ferrothorn

Fire mons/attacks are not rly a problem since all the others can deal with it quite well. Mega Altaria seems to be a big problem though.

Well, I see two things I dislike with one being so disruptive it irritates me.

Landorus-Therian (M) @ Leftovers

Wow, really solid team man.

Assault Vest Tyranitar is not a great set. Bulkier Tyranitar tend to go more for Leftovers / Smooth Rock as they can then use Stealth Rock. However, in this situation you are using Tyranitar to check Char-Y. The Choice Scarf set on Tyranitar is the best set to check Char-Y, as otherwise Charizard outspeeds and can OHKO with Focus Blast. Choice Scarf Tyranitar also offers a strong check to several other threats, such as Gengar. Next, I would look into bulky Starmie > Latios, and subsequently adding Spikes to Ferrothorn. Spike stacking is a great look for a few reasons. It can help weaken targets into Tyranitar's Pursuit range faster, and also fits well with the amount of switches Landorus-T generates. Most of the targets you lose out on by going from Latios > Starmie are covered well enough by Scarf TTar (Char-Y and Mega Manectric off the top of my head). I would drop Leech Seed for Spikes. Protect can still be useful as it allows Ferro to scout for lures and gain extra recovery through Leftovers as well. Minor nitpick, but a spread of 248 HP / 16 Atk / 44 Def / 200 SpD with an Impish nature is a tad more efficient on Mega Scizor in terms of base stats. It lets you avoid the 2HKO from Mega Lopunny, who otherwise can cause your team a lot of trouble.
