Thanks to its sky-high Defense stat, reliable recovery, and excellent utility, Avalugg is a useful defensive piece on Ice teams. It can check physical attackers with great efficiency, in addition to being one of Ice teams' best answers to Barraskewda under rain. Rapid Spin allows Avalugg to clear entry hazards for teammates such as Kyurem and Alolan Ninetales. Body Press allows it to threaten dangerous threats like Kingambit and Hisuian Arcanine. Iron Defense works excellently with Body Press, and Avalugg finds plenty of setup opportunities under Aurora Veil and snow. This turns it into a potentl wincon against Fighting and Dark teams once checks such as Iron Valiant and Darkrai have been removed. Avalanche can be used instead to deal massive damage to Flying-types like Gliscor and Dragonite and prevent them from setting up on Avalugg. This move also prevents Avalugg from being completely walled by Ghost teams. With Mirror Coat, Heavy-Duty Boots, and Sturdy, Avalugg can be a reliable emergency answer to any snowballing special threats such as Volcarona and Flutter Mane.

Avalugg walls physical threats best with snow and Aurora Veil support. Therefore, Alolan Ninetales is a perfect teammate. In addition, Alolan Ninetales can threaten Keldeo and Kommo-o for Avalugg, while it can switch into and threaten Kingambit for Alolan Ninetales. Avalugg is a complete liability against Ghost-type threats, as Gholdengo and Hisuian Zoroark are able to easily set up on it. Therefore, Weavile makes a strong ally to deal with Ghost teams. Similarly, Avalugg struggles to do much to Fire- and Poison-type targets such as Heatran and Okidogi. Mamoswine makes a great teammate, as it can tank hits from these foes while threatening them back with Earthquake. Cloyster is also a great because it can offensively threaten Fire teams after a Shell Smash. Avalugg cannot beat opposing physical walls such as Toxapex and Skarmory. Kyurem makes an excellent teammate, as it is able to remove these walls for it.

Thanks to having a sky high Defense stat, reliable recovery, and excellent utility, Avalugg is a useful defensive piece on Ice teams. Avalugg can check Fighting and Dark physical attacker with great efficiency in addition to being one of Ice’s best answers to Barraskewda under rain. Rapid Spin allows Avalugg to clear entry hazards for teammates such as Kyurem and Alolan Ninetales. Recover allows Avalugg to consistently check threats like Kingambit and Sneasler throughout the game. (Filler) Body Press allows Avalugg to threaten dangerous threats like Kingambit and Hisuin Arcanine. Iron Defense works excellently with Body Press and Avalugg finds plenty of setup opportunities under Aurora Veil and snow. This turns Avalugg into a potent win condition against Fighting and Dark teams once checks such as Iron Valiant and Darkrai have been removed. Avalanche can be used instead to deal massive damage to Flying-types like Gliscor and Dragonite and prevent them from setting up on it. Avalanche also prevents Avalugg from being completely walled by Ghost. Mirror Coat can be used instead to deal massive damage on unsuspecting Special Attackers. With Heavy-Duty Boots and Sturdy, Avalugg can be a reliable emergency answer to any snowballing Special threats such as Volcarona and Flutter Mane. Heavy-Duty Boots is the item of choice to preserve Sturdy and allow Avalugg to freely switch in to spin off hazards.

Avalugg walls physical threats best with snow and Aurora Veil support. Therefore Alolan Ninetales is a perfect teammate. In addition, Alolan Ninetales can threaten Keldeo and Kommo-o for Avalugg while it can switch into and threaten Kingambit for Alolan Ninetales. Avalugg is a complete liability against Ghost-type threats teams, with Ceruledge (While true, Weavile doesn't threaten this) threats like Gholdengo and Hisuian Zoroark being able to easily take advantage of it. easily using it to setup and sweep. Therefore Sucker Punch (Doesn't get) Weavile makes a strong ally to deal with Ghost teams. Similarly, Avalugg can struggle to do much to Fire-, and Poison-type targets Special Attackers such as Iron Moth and Volcarona (Both regularly run Grass coverage with Specs Moth OKHOing after rocks with Flamethrower and Volcarona being a roll to kill with Giga Drain with a boost) Heatran and Okidogi. Mamoswine makes a great teammate as it can tank hits from these foes while threatening them back with Earthquake or Smack Down. Cloyster is also a great fit, as it can offensively threaten these Pokemon with Rock Blast after a Shell Smash. Kyurem is a staple threat on Ice teams but can be overwhelming by hazards and fast Fighting-types like Sneasler and Urshifu-R. It greatly appreciates Avalugg’s ability to remove hazards and switch into physical Fighting-type attack, so the two pair great together. (While true, this doesn't explain how Kyurem benefits Avalugg and would fit more in a Kyurem analysis. Have it be Kyurem removing physically bulky threats such as Toxapex and and Skarmory then how Avalugg benefits Kyurem, also it doesn't need to mention it being a staple on Ice teams)

While this is 1/2 there are a lot of issues here that seem to fall under the GP team that I am unable to really touch.

t can check Fighting and Dark physical attacker with great efficiency in addition to being one of Ice’s best answers to Barraskewda under rain.
- Generalize this and make it say it checks most physical attackers with great efficiency, in addition...

Body Press allows it to threaten dangerous threats like Kingambit and Hisuin Arcanine.
- Hisuian not Hisuin

This move also prevents Avalugg from being completely walled by Ghost.
by Ghost teams not just Ghost

Mirror Coat can be used instead to deal massive damage on unsuspecting Special Attackers.
Like?

With Heavy-Duty Boots and Sturdy, Avalugg can be a reliable emergency answer to any snowballing Special threats such as Volcarona and Flutter Mane.
how? if were not actively running mirror coat as the 4th slot make sure to add if running Mirror Coat at the end.

Heavy-Duty Boots is the item of choice to preserve Sturdy and allows Avalugg to freely switch in to spin off hazards.
its honestly just to preserve sturdy + avoiding hazard chip, its not allowing us to freely switch in. We can freely swap in if we had lefties, etc. remove

Mamoswine makes a great teammate as it can tank hits from these foes while threatening them back with Earthquake or Smack Down.
remove Smack Down, and just keep EQ.

QC 2/2 after implements, great writing :Arcanine:

The “its” change in sentence one seems like it reads odd. It would read “Thanks its sky-high Defense…” is that fine?
