Hello all.
It's been awhile since i've logged on, Jeez!
For those who don't know me (probably all of you), my name is Kevin and I have been a member of this website for far too long. 6 years, maybe a little longer. I used to be into singles VGC beginning with the start of Diamond and Pearl. When I was 13/14, I was able to get a few teams from Shoddy Battle into the top 10 ladders of OU and UU. I used two different types of rain dance, a bulky sweeper team, and a few others. Does Stathakis still post? I know him and I used to make teams day and night, we would make a team the second we woke up, I.M. each other and then work on it all day. At night we would test, go to sleep...and do it all over again. I got pretty talented for my age I would say. We were beating adults every day, but we loved the game so much. I started using a Thunder Wave Azelf set and it caught on for awhile. So fun.
At the start of high school I started to slowly log on less and less to Smogon. Maybe it was a combination of (i'm a loser, I need friends/ I really need to focus on what's really important to me) [Which at the time was trying to get laid/trying to establish myself at a high school! Lol what a clown I was] or maybe I just got bored. I just fell out of the video game and the online simulator to be quite honest. I was not a fan of the B/W metagame at all, and at the time I really was irritated by team preview. I switched over to focusing on high school wrestling, working out and the Pokemon TCG.
In the years that I was absent from Smogon, I was able to qualify for state twice in wrestling, win one of the largest Pokemon TCG tournaments in the world and qualify for the TCG world championships in San Diego, California. I started college at Florida Gulf Coast University, hated it, and currently am at Florida State. I decided to get back into the VGC because to be honest, I really missed it. Watching VGC doubles at worlds this year for the TCG/VGC in Canada had me sad, I truly missed it. With the new games X/Y, I have an excuse to come back. Also, the TCG metagame went to crap, so it's another great excuse to jump full sail into VGC.
I was as irritating as any 14 year old was on a message board back then. So please, do forgive me. I'm 19, it's not as bad lol. Anyways, just wanted to reminisce a bit and share a little with you all. Feel free to message me, I am currently catching a ton of Eevee's so that I can EV train them later.
