So I haven't played a pokemon game in a while, that might sound weird but I'm just not a hardcore pokemon player, but anyways, since I have so much time on my hands at the moment I've decided to play every single main line game. No, not just Red -> Gold -> Ruby or something, I'm gonna play red, blue, and yellow in a row. I'm gonna try and do every game... limited to emulator lol.
I'm not gonna do a let's play because I don't have the money nor equipment and frankly, that would get boring quickly since I'm not doing a challenge. I'm just gonna update on some stuff I might find funny while I'm playing.
Speaking of that, I've actually already completed the red version and I'm in the beginning of blue. So let me tell you a bit about my red run.
My Red Run
So first off, let me tell you my team. Charizard, Pidgeot, Raichu, Machoke, Snorlax, and Lapras. Kind of funny story about Machoke, I actually planned to use a website called sanqui so I could edit my rom to turn of trade evos and let them evolve at level 40, but, I forgot about that and I downloaded the rom from vimm's lair and then when I got to rock tunnel, ready to catch a machop, I realized that trade evos were still on and I wouldn't get the Machamp I wanted. I died a little bit inside. So then I had to train a Machoke for the rest of my journey because I still wanted him, then he fell off at the elite four.
Another story, Lapras wasn't originally wasn't gonna be on my team (I like planning my teams ahead when playing the games) that spot was gonna be saved for a Tauros. I was hyping myself up on the journey to the Safari Zone, getting ready for the absolute beast I would have on my team... and I didn't find it... not once. That kind of pissed me off a bit. So next plan! I was gonna try to catch a Scyther, I knew they were more common than Tauros and might even be easier to catch, well I was right about it being easier to find... I was wrong about it being fairly easy to catch. I found like 5-6 Scyther in probably 30 minutes (rng sucks) and failed to capture a single one of them. I died a little bit more inside. Ok! Fine! Plan C! don't catch a pokemon in the safari zone, I decided not to do that and thought long and hard about my 6th pokemon, and while going through silph I remembered I could get a Lapras in the building, so I did, and I kept it.
Something else that's kinda funny, so the rival battle before victory road took me 3 attempts to do, not because it was hard, because I kept messing crap up. So on my first attempt the battle was going well and my Lapras leveled up, the game said it was about to learn hydro pump and I thought it could be useful. At first I decided to replace surf becuase another one of my mons had surf, and apparently you can't replace HM moves so I was gonna replace sing, in my haste to do so I accidentally replaced body slam, one of my best moves on Lapras. So I had to reset to my last save and go back to the battle. It was going really well again and I thought this would be the winning attempt, until my Lapras got on low hp, I decided to use a hyper potion but I missclicked and chose the item right above my hyper potion, that item just so happened to be my master ball... I used the master ball on my rival's pokemon, the game called me a thief and I lost my guaranteed legendary. I died even more inside. So I had to reset to my last save again so I could finally win the battle without mistake, thankfully I did do it right this time.
Then I made it through Victory Road, beat the elite four, became champion and beat Pokemon Red.

Then after I beat the champion and caught all the legendaries... I lost the save... hey, atleast I already beat the game.
So yeah, expect more posts from me talking about stuff like this.
