this is one of my gen 5 teams for pokemon online. its really fun and if you guys havent tried it yet i suggest downloading it and giving it a shot. its not as hectic as id thought it wouldve been at first and a lot of trends have already started (fuck weather teams). still i'd like you guys to check it out whether you've tried gen 5 or not and tell me what you think. i'll explain everything as much as i can and hopefull it'll all make sense. i'm open to any suggestions and critiques. check out my team, rate, and play ask to play me on p-o!

lead forretress @ custap berry
ability: sturdy (now like a built in focus sash preventing ohko's from full health)
nature: careful + spdef -spatk
252 hp 152 def 104 spdef
toxic spikes
stealth rock
explosion
rapid spin

nearly guaranteed two layers of t-spikes is awesome. custap berry activates in a pinch and acts as a quick claw making u go first that turn. i can get brought down to sturdy, get a t-spike up, custap activates, get the second one. or i can put up stealth rocks and explode. plenty of times tho i can get all 3 layers of hazards up as forrey isnt 2hko'd by too many leads. rapid spin is for if im against another lead who is stacking up SR and spikes like iwarapesu or skarmory. forretress thanks to sturdy and custap is now one of the best leads in my opinion. it doesnt get much better than guaranteed 2 layers or t-spikes or guaranteed stealth rock explosion. unfortunately explosion doesnt have the opponents defense so it doesnt have the raw power as it did in previous generations. it's still however a great move and will severely dent anything that doesnt resist it if it isnt an ohko.

kyuremu (dragon/ice)@ life orb
ability: pressure
nature: naive +spd -spdef
44 atk 212 spatk 252 spd
draco meteor
outrage
shadow ball
focus blast

a huge whole puncher. base 130 attack on both sides is coming close to the likes of rayquaza. he can severely dent anything that decides to take a draco meteor or outrage. focus blast and shadow ball arent just filler moves but provide the best coverage together and along with dragon is very very good coverage. i wish i could run a more conventional draco meteor 3 physical atk moveset but kyuremu simply doesnt have the movepool to do so. shadow ball could be replaced with shadow claw but theres no physical replacement for focus blast this guy has. i wish i could find one and switch the attack evs around for a physical base with d meteor. i'm open to any suggestion anyone has and i might be willing to try it but he simple doesnt have a large physical movepool. if only it got earthquake then that would probably be enough for me to do it *sigh* but this will do for now. i dont think ice moves are necessary alongside dragon moves but if anyone gives me a viable explanation i'll try whatever. frozen world is definitely a good move but this is meant as a whole puncher/wallbreak for right now. any suggestions are welcome

suicune @ life orb
ability: water absorb
nature: modest
4 hp 252 spatk 252 spd
hydro pump
ice beam
shadow ball
hp electric

whattt? life orb suicune? blasphemy! actually surprisingly succesful. this gen is meant for testing as of now and having fun and this suicune has done both for me. i can count the amount of times someone's immediately brought out a taunter onto this guy in total vain. suicune maintains natural bulk and with modest 252 can hit pretty hard with STAB hydro pump. its other moves provide excellent coverage. shadow ball is necessary for hitting the new water/ghost slightly harder than hp electric but other than that is mainly filler but a worthwhile one at that. ice beam hits almost any dragon or grass super effectively and hp electric for other waters taking little from any of my other attacks. one of the more satisfying outcomes of this set is my opponent bringing out gyarados to taunt, and being completely owned by hp electric. this gains a huge surprise factor and can give me the edge on almost any switch in. i've been having fun with this and it's been quite successful as well. still open to any suggestions anyone might have regarding movepool nature evs or item.

blaziken @ lum berry
ability: speed boost
nature: adamant
4 hp 252 atk 252 spd
flare blitz
hi jump kick
stone edge
protect

we were all waiting for this and i gotta say, it is not a disappointment at all. probably with its new ability is the superior of the 3, yeah.. there's 3 now, fire/fight starters. hi jump kick now is 130 base power before stab. 195 after. absolutely huge. flare blitz is self explanatory. another powerful stab, coverage, etc.. stone edge hits the new ghost/fire along with things like salamence and gyarados super effectively. although their intimidates might make for it not to be an ohko, especially on bulky gyara. otherwise it is a great set with fantastic coverage and sweeping ability. lum berry is for t-wave not shutting it down and to be able to take weak boiling waters without too much worry. protect is for a guaranteed +1 speed. often times ill be able to get plus 2 though. as i can come in on something i can force to switch, choose an attack, probably stone edge cuz nothing is immune to it and no recoil chance, and then protect should they bring in their scarfer and easily outspeed the whole game from there. the flare blitz/ hi jump kick recoil is a bit painful should hjk miss even once, which is why life orb is absent. this thing is awesome and everything i hoped it would be with those huge attack stats. it probably by no means needs max speed so if anyone can give me a better ev spread for after one protect thatd be welcome and greatly appreciated.

uooguru @ choice scarf
ability: competitive spirit (as its stats are lowered its attack increases)
nature: adamant
4 hp 252 atk 252 spd
brave bird
return
superpower
u-turn

its gen 5 so you're supposed to play with the new pokemon right. well this is me giving that a try. almost identical to a standard staraptor set. i expected superpower and competitive spirit to work great in unison providing a move more beneficial than close combat only lowering defense but idt its the case that superpower does this. it might be that the opponent has to lower your stats in which case intimidate pokemon are welcome switch ins. still im not too sure what the ability does. it must be for when the opponent lowers ur stats cuz i havent seen superpower do it. im pretty sure it raises 2 stages also when it comes in effect cuz i think i saw it happen once thanks to an intimidate and it said sharply rose. but anyway the moves are for stab, power and u turn for scouting and switching the appropriate counter. unfortunately so far uooguru hasnt scared off too many pokes and ive often u-turned in vain. still 123 base atk is very good and it's speed with a scarf is as well. i can imagine this guy being uu when tiers get settled and itll fit in nicely on any team in that tier. pretty cool for now and its shiny is just beautiful and patriotic!

roopushin_by_benjma-d2yvjjk.png

roobushin @ leftovers
ability: iron fist
nature: adamant
252 hp 252 atk 4 spd
bulk up
drain punch
mach punch
payback

what an absolute beast. i dont doubt at all this guy could carry tree trunks or giant concrete cylinders or whatever those things are with one hand.i tried to save this guy for the mid/late and let him set up at least 1 bulk up on a switch on a silly stay in that cant hurt me very much. with drain punches upgrades power, which is now that of brick break, and upgraded pp, 10 before any pp ups has made it a great move. this guy has massive base 140 atk to go with it. and rather low speed, which works great in conjuction with payback, along with providing near perfect coverage. leftovers and drain punch will keep roobushin at pretty good health, and mach punch is if u really need to revenge kill something or cant afford to go second with drain punch. this guys awesome. a better ev spread is once again welcome and maybe item/nature. althought i shy away from guts as i dont want to be poisoned or burned very much in order to stay in the match as long as possible. also iron fist boosts both mach punch and drain punch i think (i could be wrong but i dont see why it wouldnt) which both have rather lackluster base power to start with. this guys awesome and really fun to use. 4 spd evs is to at least speed tie with other roobushins with teh same spread or beat ones with 0 spd.

so thats the team! rate, suggest, critique. help me out as you will it will definitely be appreciated. thanks in advance and go play 5th gen!

Generation V OU teams aren't allowed yet. They will be permitted very soon, though, so don't worry. Locking this for the time being.

Also, you have an active RMT open. You cannot have two active RMTs open at any given time - it violates RMT rule #13. Wait at least two weeks before re-posting an RMT. Remember this for future purposes.
