I mean, this can be said about chess too, right? And I believe that chess is underway to be implemented someday.
The same question to do, in a contrary direction, would be: Why not implement the game, if this is a good addition to the site?

Chess exists as a game hosted by a roombot in the Board Games room, not from internal code.

Plus, the question is never 'why not' when implementing - do remember PS is run by unpaid volunteers, and if you want to suggest adding more work for the developers you'd better have a decent reason.
 
Theres the concern of feature bloat. That means adding things which takes dev time for creation and the maintainence after the fact. I really don't think this brings much of anything to showdown.

The best shot this game has of being implemented on showdown in any form is if it were added as a game in Game Corner. That bot is programmed by a niche set of developers and is run through a bot, much like chess is run through a bot. So there's no reason to ever hope for this to be developed by the primary showdown devs.

This would be quite a fun game in the Game Corner though, since most of the games are races to display Pokémon knowledge. So this could be forwarded to whoever that concerns.

Ooooh, so is there hope through GameCorner?.

And where would I suggest that, right here, somewhere else, or create a new topic to suggest to gamecorner in specific?
