Insert witty title here

I felt like posting my main team and getting some opinions/feedback. Here goes.

485.png

Karin, the Heatran
Air Balloon
Moves:
-Lava Plume
-Toxic
-Roar
-Stealth Rock
Calm Nature
Ability: Flash Fire
248 hp 36 Spd 224 Sp.Def

Flash Fire is amazing. Sets rocks. Phazes. Statuses. Hits decently hard. And Air Balloon is a great pressure tool.

ExDeath, the Ferrothorn
Leftovers
Moves
-Spikes
-Power Whip
-Substitute
-Leech Seed
Relaxed nature
Ability: Iron Barbs
252 Hp 48 def 208 Sp.def

Subseed Ferrothorn is seriously underrated. Many Pokemon that aren't that offensive will struggle to break these subs in a single hit. Has great synergy with Heatran and is an all around great wall. I guess Mega Venusaur is another option here.

Scizor_by_Xous54.png

Zero, the Scizor
Choice Band
Moves
-Bullet Punch
-U-turn
-Superpower
-Pursuit
Adamant nature
Ability: Technician
252 hp 252 atk 4 def

Standard Scizor. One of my go-to bulky attackers. Once again, synergy with Heatran.

Turbo, the Gastrodon
Leftovers
Moves
-Scald
-Earthquake
-Toxic
-Recover
Relaxed nature
Ability: Storm Drain
252 hp 252 def 4 sp.def

Mixed Gastrodon. Some people might find it odd that I'm still using this, but I've been really enjoying the immunities it provides. Plus, this can tank like a boss.

Pok%C3%A9mon_Dragonite_art.png

Kairi, the Dragonite
Weakness Policy
Moves
-Dragon Dance
-Dragon Claw
-Fire Punch
-Extreme Speed
Adamant nature
Ability: Multiscale
252 atk 252 speed 4 def

I'm seriously loving Weakness Policy Dragonite. A late game cleaner, or a straight up sweeper. Almost guaranteed to at least get up a Dragon Dance. If she goes to +3 it usually spells game.

Bianca, the Latias
Leftovers
Moves
-Draco Meteor
-Psyshock
-Defog
-Recover
Timid nature
Ability: Levitate
252 Hp 252 Speed 4 def

I adore Latias. Went with 252 hp instead of sp.atk since I wanted more bulk. Timid because 110 is a nice speed tier. My defogger of choice. And she can come in and revenge kill if need be.

Yes, I'm aware that this includes nothing from gen 6 beyond defog and weakness policy.

Feel free to share your thoughts, but keep it civil.

Why don't you use the export team?
Btw In this meta with defog spikes I think are useless, in a stall they cold be stay... But it's not a total stall ...
You gan give Gyro Ball > Spikes on ferrothorn for hit some fairies like clefable unaware (pay attention if it has flamethrower) or Power Whip to put KO azumarill bander (pay attention to super power obv)

You don't have a mega form, why don't you give scizorite on zor and try an s-dancer set?

Probably azuma drummer if takes advantage from a switch and boosts can give you some troubles. I think that you can try to use Quagsire > Gastrodon to neutralize stat uppers.

All valid suggestions, though I don't feel every team needs a mega. I could probably drop spikes on ExDeath for t-wave or even gyro ball/knock off. I went banded Scizor for more immediate power and revenge killing. Gastro vs Quagsire is honestly a really tough call. I have Turbo here because of storm drain, but Quagsire is admittedly another good option.

So currently it's Ferro vs Mega Venasaur, Gastro vs Quagsire, Latias vs Mandibuzz, and Scizor vs Aegislash that are on my mind for alternative options.

If you want to run a Ferro the standard set works wonders with T-wave instead over Spikes, and Protect over Substitute. It's a more health efficient way of gaining back health as unlike most sub stallers (Breloom and Gliscor come to mind) Ferrothorn does not force switches nearly as often or as well and is not gonna be out speeding anybody anytime soon as well as spikes not being very turn efficient and T-wave support is always nice on the switch and lasts the entirety of the battle in most cases.

Mentioning speed. It's better to be the absolute slowest as opposed to just molasses slow. I believe with 0 speed Iv's and a negative speed nature you out slow Reuniclus which can come in handy during trick room battles, rare as they are, but it's a precaution that doesn't hurt anything really seeing as you never out sped it in the first place.

What are the Ev's specifically for anyways?

Ferrothorn Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
252 Hp/48 Def/208 SDef
Relaxed nature
IVs 0 Speed
Moves
-Thunder Wave
-Power Whip>Gyro Ball
-Protect
-Leech Seed

Why Fire Punch over EQ on D-Nite? YOu have Heatran to take out what it does and Dragon/Ground Coverage is still great despite Fairies IMO.

Earth Power is great on Gastrodon as It's un-invested special attack is better than it's Physical and Earth Power has a chance to drop SP Def. If it's for a specific reason that's fine, but at that point it should be explained in the RMT, IMO.

Leftovers > Than Air Balloon on Heatran. The one time immunity just isn't worth it when you have two other pokes to go into, one being a pivot in itself (Latias) and passive recovery is great on a tank like Heatran.

That's all really aside from some awkward EV's in my eyes it seems solid on paper.

Mega Saur is just a great poke in general and you have Heatran to compliment it, Ferro works fine though.
Quag poops on any boosters and with cheeky Bisharps taking in defiant boosts from Latias' ddefogs, as well as opposing weakness policy D-nites. Water immunity is helpful though but with Ferro/Venu, and latias to take those scalds, surfs, etc... your team doesn't really care.
The offensive presence of Latias is very appealing in the Mandi/Latias argument and you have enough tanks but If you choose to replace Scizor for Aegislash I'd add Mandi to cover the new weaknesses that Aegi brings.

I've been testing Air Balloon vs Leftovers on Heatran. I actually vastly prefer the balloon. It works as a pressure tool, since like 3/4 games I lead with her. Mixed Gastrodon is for coverage options, really. And as I stated, I'm a huge advocate of substitute on Ferrothorn. Even neutral hits will oftentimes fail to break his substitutes. And coming in on things that can't afford to stay in (oh hi Quagsire) gives me easy room to set up. And the EVs are gen 5 standard, which gives overall very reliable and balanced bulk anyway, so I kept it. I've never even seen a Dragonite use EQ in gen 6. Every Dragonite who's not outright defensive seems to run some flavor of this set.

Probably the main thing on my mind is Quagsire though. I switched to defensive Heatran because setup sweepers were the main thing hurting me (I got to almost 1800 rating in the last few months, but I admit I'm not without weaknesses)

Oh and Exdeath is 0 speed. I just neglected to mention that because I assumed no one runs speed IVs on Ferrothorn anyway.
