Team Endless Relentlessness (OU 1v1 RMT)
With my Apologies to the Mods, I made this team recently and really wanted an opinion on it. I know I had a RMT like yesterday, but I really wanted help and opinions on this one. Sorry Moderators...
As usual, EV's Go Hp/Attack/Defence/Speed/SpecA/specD
At a glance:
In Depth:
Lonely Lucario@Focus Sash (4/252/0/252/0/0)
-Close Combat
-Crunch
-Extreme Speed
-Counter
Still my favorite lead in the world. It decimates through teams. Cutting up at least one poke before it dies. Often times I get 2-3 kills before going onto my 2nd pokemon. People who have seen previous RMT's of mine know this guy pretty well. Its really only has to worry about Machamp leads as the Dynamic Punch confusion really gives me only a chance of it working. In a best case scenario, Lucario will Close Combat, bring them down to 1, they set up rocks. Extreme speed for kill 1. They send in the next thing, being a ghost type or something, because of the 2 immunities, and I OHKO crunch it. They send in the next to wich i wil counter, leaving me at 1 hp, to extrme speed the 4th poke they send in. Given this is a best case scenario, and happens rarely, I still can relibly get 2 kills with this lead.
Adamant Feraligatr@Leichi Berry (0/252/0/252/0/0)
-Substitute
-Waterfall
-Dragon Dance
-Flail
I love feraligatr, its my favorite starter pokemon. Smogon, however, doesn't, labeling it the Gyarados of UU, limiting my use of it. Some one else (I spent a good hour searching for the thread. It was Crocodile Dundee) showed a SubBerry plan to take advantage of Torrent. I liked it and tried to get my own in. I came up with this. The basic idea is to keep subing until the berry goes off, and Dragon Dance when the substitute isnt broken. Waterfall/flail is only resisted by Empoleon. Some people may think flail to be a weird choice, but this sweep is all about killing at low health, causing flail to have close to 200 base, compared to Return/frustation's 102. There are a couple of ideas i had with this. I could Salac and Swords dance, or Agility and Leichi. I figured Dragon Dance/Leichi gives me the best balance in Attack and speed, which is nessessary as In OU feraligatr doesnt have an impressive stat in either. I changed the EV's because he was having trouble keeping up with threats in the OU.
Modest Jolteon@Life Orb (4/0/0/252/252/0)
-Charge Beam
-HP grass
-Shadow Ball
-Thunderbolt
Your standard LO Jolt. I figured that Volt absorb would make a nice synergy to Feraligatr, and that between those 2 poke's I could easily sweep through a team. Basic stratagy is to switch in on a (preferably choiced) lightning attack, and charge beam (hence the preferably choiced) and hopefully grab a spec boost. From there I can pretty much sweep anything. I went Grass over Ice because i felt swampert was a big enough wall to justify it.
(You awwed. That pictures too cute. You know it.)
Jolly Jirachi@Choice Scarf (4/252/0/252/0/0)
-Stealth Rock
-Trick
-Wish
-Iron Head/Uturn
A weird mix of my favorite pokemon in the game. Jolly Scarf lets him outrun the majority of event he scarfed metagame. Trick is to fuck over walls, wish is there to heal Feraligatr, should i be forced to switch him out (preferably before the berries eaten) because of a counter i didnt know about or failed to kill. The last move im debating. I'm leaning twords Iron Head, because I Like the flinch, and with Jolly/scarf, Its guaranteed to go first. I cant tell you how many times i've had flinch chains save me a game. U-turn allows Jirachi to be more of a support though. Iunno Suggestions?
Relaxed Forretress@Leftovers (4/0/252/0/0/252)
-Spikes
-Toxic Spikes
-Rapid Spin
-Explosion
Since im basing my team around a very unorthodox sweep, i figured As many entry hazards I can get will be appreciated. Forretress lets me set up spikes, which is nice, but the real love comes in Toxic Spikes, giving anything that doesnt hover badly posion until a poison type, (and besides tentacruel, there are non in OU that absorb spikes due to levitate. Unless i overlooked something) or rapid spin occurs. Explosion lets forretress go out in a bang. I was originally thinking Frosslass, because it can spike, block, and destiny bond, gaurunteeing a kill on death, but i figured that it would be a stupid and unneeded addition to the team.
Jolly Gliscor@Leftovers (252/0/40/216/0/0)-Earthquake
-Toxic
-Taunt
-Roost
I needed a 6th, and a stall breaker came to mind. I though to Gliscor, and I'm content with it. Its there to ruin stalls like Hippowdon, Blissey, and other bitches that get in the way. Taunt keeps set ups from happening, Toxic slowly kills things that enjoy recovery, and EQ is a nice stab move. Roost lets Gliscor Psuedotank while he's breaking up shit. My 2 biggest issues with this guy is that 1) I really dont like Gliscor as a Pokemon, and would like to replace him, and 2) It's completely fucked against Skarmory.
I was thinking maybe a TormenTran, but i felt another weakness to ground would really hurt.
And thats my Team. I will put in EV's tomarrow. Its 4 a.m. here, and I'm tired. Please note, I understand that Feraligatr is at a huge fault. But i love it, and want it in my team. So try and suggest things based around Feraligatr, rather than just replacements for Feraligatr. If i wanted to run Gyarados, I would have.
*edit* EV's have been added. Thanks again guys! (changes to the build will be edited Like This)
PS sorry for the huge Gliscor picture, too lazy to find another one.
