Defensive Weakness Policy (Iron Crown) @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Quark Drive
EVs: 240 HP / 240 Def / 28 Spe
Bold Nature
- Tachyon Cutter
- Iron Defense
- Calm Mind
- Stored Power / Psyshock

[SET COMMENTS]
* Defensive Weakness Policy Iron Crown uses Iron Defense and Calm Mind to boost its defenses to survive strong hits and KO back with Weakness Policy-boosted Stored Power.
* Stored Power obtains a massive boost in Base Power when combined with Weakness Policy and stat-boosting moves.
* Alternatively, Psyshock can be used for matchups Pokemon that have enough Special Defense to not be threatened by Stored Power, such as Cresselia and Pokemon that Iron Crown can't boost in front of like Iron Valiant..
* Tachyon Cutter is hits Fairy-types such as Sylveon and Iron Valiant, and can break Substitute from Pokemon such as Serperior.
* Calm Mind is used for matchups where boosting Special Attack and Special Defense is necessary, such as against Assault Vest Ursaluna-B.

* The HP and Defense EVs allow Iron Crown to have a 75% chance to survive Adamant Choice Band Meowscarada's Knock Off in order to kill it with +2 Tachyon Cutter, as well as having favorable rolls to survive two Choice Band Ursaluna's Earthquake to boost with Iron Defense up to +4 and KO with Stored Power. The remaining EVs are placed in Speed for the mirror matchup and to base 50 speed Pokemon such as Ursaluna.
* 36 Speed EVs can be used instead to outspeed Max Speed Primarina.
* While this set is able to bulk many attacks, it is notably slower than faster Choice Band users like Landorus-T, making Defensive Iron Crown lose the matchup against them. Faster teammates that can deal with these Pokemon are ideal, such as attackers like Meowscarada.

*Defensive Weakness Policy Iron Crown to use Iron Defense against slower physical attackers in order to tank hits, uses Iron Defense and Calm Mind to boost its defenses to live strong hits and fires back KO back with Weakness Policy boosted Stored Powers and Tachyon Cutters.
*Stored Power obtains a massive boost in BP when combined with Weakness Policy and Iron Crown's access to stat-boosting moves.
*Alternatively, Psyshock can be used for matchups with other Calm Mind users that are undeterred by Stored Power, such as opposing Iron Crown. not sure there is a great example here, if crown is the best it can stay.
*Tachyon Cutter is used as Iron Crown's Steel STAB of choice, threatening hitting Fairy-types such as Sylveon and Iron Valiant, and can break Substitutes from Pokemon such as Serperior.
*Calm Mind is used for other matchups where boosting Special Attack and Special Defense is necessary, such as Primarina. (not the best example with what you say at the end)

*The EV spread sacrifices speed in order to have more bulk versus physical attackers. not necessary Compared to Fast Weakness Policy, don't think the comparison is necessary this set has a 75% chance to live Choice Band Meowscarada's Knock Off in order to kill it with Tachyon Cutter at +2, as well as favorable rolls versus Choice Band Ursaluna's Earthquake to boost with Iron Defense up to +4 and KO with Stored Power. mention specific stats eg. The HP and Defense EVs allow...

* While Defensive Weakness Policy Iron Crown trades matchups with Fast Weakness Policy, making it an effective way to force your opponent to set read it, it also notably has a much worse speed tier and can be outsped by otherwise slower Pokemon that can benefit from maximum Speed, (Reads weird) such as Primarina, making Iron Crown lose the 1v1 against them. Teammates that can cover this potential weakness would be are ideal. example of teammate, maybe mention its weaknesses but keep succinct

*Defensive Weakness Policy Iron Crown uses Iron Defense and Calm Mind to boost its defenses to live strong hits, and KOs back with Weakness Policy boosted Stored Powers.
*Stored Power obtains a massive boost in BP when combined with Weakness Policy and stat-boosting moves.
*Alternatively, Psyshock can be used for matchups for opposing Pokémon that have enough Special Defense to not be threatened by Stored Power, such as opposing Calm Mind Iron Crown and Cresselia or Pokémon that Valiant can't boost in front of like Iron Valiant. Stored Power CM / ID Iron Crown beats CM Psyshock Crown. Even if you hit a +6 Psyshock against a non-invested non-boosted Crown, a single ID from the crown on the following turn would let it mitigate enough damage to then KO first with SP. Unless you have a better sequence change this out. Iron Valiant shuts down Tachyon Cutter and SP can't outpace Spirit Break / Low Kick valiant. You can reword that last part as you'd like. You can also include Haban Bolt as an example of a CM poke that Psyshock wins that SP doesn't, but honestly there's not too many of these.
*Tachyon Cutter is Iron Crown's Steel STAB of choice, hitting Fairy-types such as Sylveon and Iron Valiant, and can break Substitutes from Pokemon such as Serperior.
*Calm Mind is used for other matchups where boosting Special Attack and Special Defense is necessary, such as against Raging Bolt Assault Vest Ursaluna-BM.
Booster bolt w/ Taunt > CM > Tbolt > Tbolt always beats SP Crown and Taunt > CM > Tbolt > TClap beats some 70% to beat Psyshock Crowns, Ursaluna-BM is more of a grab bag because of how custap shenanigans work, but I think AV Ursa-BM is a much more clear example of when CM is useful.
*The HP and Defense EVs allow Iron Crown to have a 75% chance to live Choice Band Meowscarada's Knock Off in order to kill it with Tachyon Cutter at +2, as well as favorable rolls versus Choice Band Ursaluna's Earthquake to boost with Iron Defense up to +4 and KO with Stored Power. The rest are placed in Speed.
* Defensive Weakness Policy Iron Crown trades matchups with Fast Weakness Policy. While it is able to bulk more attacks, it is notably slower than faster Band users like Landorus-T, making Defensive Iron Crown lose the 1v1 against them. Faster teammates that can deal with these Pokémon are ideal, such as attackers like Meowscarada.

Unless you have a specific reason to change to 36 speed EVs, I wouldn't. It's already a game of rolls so moving the needle down even further into RNG is not very good imo.

* Defensive Weakness Policy Iron Crown uses Iron Defense and Calm Mind to boost its defenses to survive live strong hits (remove comma) and KO KOs back with Weakness Policy-boosted (add hyphen) Stored Power Powers.
* Stored Power obtains a massive boost in BP Base Power when combined with Weakness Policy and stat-boosting moves. (this is kind of just the above point regurgitated)
* Alternatively, Psyshock can be used for matchups for opposing Pokémon Pokemon that have enough Special Defense to not be threatened by Stored Power, such as Cresselia and Pokemon or Pokémon that Valiant Iron Crown can't boost in front of like Iron Valiant. (remove extra period)
* Tachyon Cutter is Iron Crown's Steel STAB of choice, hitting hits Fairy-types such as Sylveon and Iron Valiant (remove comma) and can break Substitutes Substitute from Pokemon such as Serperior.
* Calm Mind is used for other matchups where boosting Special Attack and Special Defense is necessary, such as against Assault Vest Ursaluna-B BM.

The rest remaining EVs are placed in Speed. (you must always mention the reason for speed evs in analyses; if there's no reason for it then you should place the evs elsewhere)
* 36 Speed EVs can be used instead to outspeed Max Speed Primarina.
* Defensive Weakness Policy Iron Crown trades matchups with Fast Weakness Policy. (don't cross reference from 1 set to another) While it this set is able to bulk many more attacks, it is notably slower than faster Choice Band users like Landorus-T, making Defensive Iron Crown lose the matchup 1v1 against them. Faster teammates that can deal with these Pokemon Pokémon are ideal, such as attackers like Meowscarada.
