[SET COMMENTS]
  • Swords Dance Iron Hands is a threatening sweeper that can completely turn the game around if put into a situation where it can recover most of its health every turn with a boosted Drain Punch.
  • Both Ice Punch and Fire Punch can hit Amoonguss and Sinistcha, which otherwise safely redirect Iron Hands's moves. Ice Punch checks Landorus, while Fire Punch is more useful on teams weak to Gholdengo, which otherwise walls Iron Hands.
  • Protect allows Iron Hands to dodge Fake Out or a lethal attack, buying a turn for a partner to switch in and provide redirection, Tailwind, or Fake Out support.
  • Iron Hands pairs well with Tailwind setters like Tornadus, since its Speed investment lets it outspeed threats like Landorus and the Ogerpon formes under Tailwind. Alternatively, minimum Speed investment Iron Hands can be used with Trick Room users like Sinistcha and Farigiraf.
  • Iron Hands appreciates redirection support to help it set up or redirect attacks when at low HP, giving it a chance to recover with Drain Punch. Ogerpon-W has Follow Me and threatens Ground-types like Landorus. Sinistcha can protect Iron Hands with Rage Powder, provides healing with Hospitality and Life Dew, and can set Trick Room as a means of speed control.
  • Clear Amulet prevents Intimidate from Incineroar and Landorus-T, guarantees higher immediate damage output, and has the added benefit of blocking Parting Shot and preventing the Attack drop from Gouging Fire's and Roaring Moon's Breaking Swipe.
  • Tera Grass allows Iron Hands to bypass Rage Powder, grants it an immunity to Spore from Amoonguss, and makes it resist Ground-type moves from common threats like Landorus and Ursaluna-B, while Tera Water is a good neutral typing in the metagame.

  • Iron Hands Swords Dance is a really scary threatening setup sweeper that can completely turn the game around if positioned correctly in a situation where it can recover most of his its health every turn with a boosted Drain Punch.
  • Both Ice Punch and Fire Punch can hit Amoonguss and Sinistcha that otherwise would redirect his its moves. Ice Punch can checks Landorus while Fire Punch is more useful in teams weak to Gholdengo, letting Iron Hands hit a Pokemon which that otherwise would walls it.
  • Protect while a good move in general, it’s particularly good on Iron Hands because it this kind of commentary is just fluff imo allows Iron Hands to dodge Fake Out and also allows a Fake Out user or a redirection move user to switch in the other slot to support it. I think this is a little clunky. This is true for redirection moves, and often Iron Hands could be double targeted. I think if you emphasize/specify that its offensive pressure leading it to be double targeted often, this can work, it just doesn't specifically allow a teammate to safely switch in the way a redirector does. Fake Out is another option in teams that don't want to give up its support capabilities, in this case Swords Dance's role in the set becomes an element of surprise on a Pokemon that usually is being run Assault Vest with Fake Out. I don't love Fake Out being on this set - I think it compromises the mon too much, after you implement the rest we can discuss on the discord if there's a better way to word this that doesn't rely so much on the surprise factor.
  • Iron Hands pairs well with Tailwind setters like Tornadus since its Speed investment lets it outspeed threats like Landorus and Ogerpon formes under Tailwind. For the same reason, Alternatively, Iron Hands can also be used with minimum speed with Trick Room users like Sinistcha and Farigiraf.
  • Iron Hands also appreciates redirection support from partners with Follow Me or Rage Powder to help it set up or redirect attacks when at low HP, giving it a chance to recover with Drain Punch. Ogerpon-W has Follow Me and can threaten threatens Ground-types like Landorus;, while Sinistcha's Rage Powder can protect Iron Hands and can heal it with Life Dew and with Hospitality on switch in don't think we need to explain Hospitality while not being and isn't weak to Sludge Bomb.
  • Clear Amulet prevents intimidate from Incineroar and Landorus-T and guarantees higher an immediate higher damage output while Leftovers can help keeping Iron Hands alive longer healthy and isn't necessarily worse against Intimidate users because Iron Hands with the added recovery can Swords Dance more than one time. Do we really want to include Leftovers? I feel like it is just straight up worse. We can address this after you implement the rest.
  • Both Tera Water and Tera Grass aim to remove the ground weaknesses to setup in front of Landorus formes I think the key point is to avoid rage powder/spore (especially on tr teams, so mention that first) and Ursaluna B, Tera Grass allows to bypass Rage Powder and grants immunity to Spore from Amoonguss while Water avoids weaknesses to common attacks like Sludge Bomb or Tornadus's Bleakwind Storm and is better in Trick Room matchups due to its Fire resistance mitigating Torkoal damage. For water it's just a good neutral typing, you can simplify this.

mark as 1/2, I'll recheck this after second qc though.

My brief thoughts

Fake Out is another option in teams that don’t want to give up its support capabilities, in this case Swords Dance’s role in the set becomes an element of surprise on a Pokemon that usually is being run Assault Vest with Fake Out. Agree with Smudge, that Fake Out doesn't really fit in what we traditionally view as being the SD set.
  • Iron Hands pairs well with Tailwind setters like Tornadus since its Speed investment lets it outspeed threats like Landorus and Ogerpon formes under Tailwind. Alternatively, minimum speed Iron Hands can also be used with Trick Room users like Sinistcha and Farigiraf.
  • Iron Hands also appreciates redirection support from partners with Follow Me or Rage Powder to help it set up or redirect attacks when at low HP, giving it a chance to recover with Drain Punch. Ogerpon-W has follow me and threatens Ground-types like Landorus, Sinistcha’s Rage Powder can protect Iron Hands and can heal it with with Hospitality and Life Dew and isn’t weak to Sludge Bomb. I think the wellspring point specifying that it checks lando is important, so good that it's there. The Sinistcha point, I don't think needs to continue that and be specific about the lack of sludge bomb weakness. I think I'd rather, following the rage powder mention, it simply noted the other supportive tools it offers in Hospitality, Life Dew, and Trick Room. TR is very much worth mentioning when it comes to this specific pairing.
  • Clear Amulet prevents intimidate from Incineroar and Landorus-T and guarantees higher immediate damage output while Leftovers can help keeping Iron hands healthy and isn’t necessarily worse against Intimidate users due to the added passive recovery which can help Iron Hands setup more than one time. After removing the lefties stuff, you could slightly expand the Clear Amulet part to mention Breaking Swipe (Gouging and Roaring) and maybe Parting Shot to pad it a little.
  • Tera Grass allows Iron Hands to bypass Rage Powder and grants immunity to Spore from Amoonguss, while also making Iron Hands resist Ground-type moves from common threats like Landorus and Ursaluna-B, while Water is a good neutral typing in the metagame.

Edit: For the redirection point, I think it reads better with the Ogerpon and Sinistcha as separate sentences (also providing a slight rephrasing of the sinistcha bit)
  • Iron Hands also appreciates redirection support from partners with Follow Me or Rage Powder to help it set up or redirect attacks when at low HP, giving it a chance to recover with Drain Punch. Ogerpon-W has Follow Me and threatens Ground-types like Landorus. Sinistcha can protect Iron Hands with Rage Powder in addition to providing healing with with Hospitality and Life Dew, it can also set Trick Room as a means of speed control.
With that implemented I'll give it QC 2/2
