Iron Head Koraidon, coupled with the move Substitute and Tera Steel, serves as an incredibly strong setup sweeper, using the invaluable resistance against Fairy-type attacks to turn its checks into setup fodder. Koraidon is able to bait its checks - including Arceus-Fairy, Arceus-Water, and Alomomola - to switch into it, and then use Substitute and a Steel typing to safely use Swords Dance. With Substitute, Koraidon is able to setup without fear of being statused by defensive Arceus forms, Skeledirge, and Gliscor, or being revenge killed by a Ditto, and can rip through many team archetypes. The speed investment allows Koraidon to outspeed max Speed neutral-natured Arceus forms, and also have enough bulk to allow its substitute to notably not break in one hit by Judgement from uninvested Arceus-Fairy, and Arceus-Water while sun is up, and Dynamax Cannon from Eternatus once Koraidon has Terastallized. The ease of setup and Scale Shot provides Koraidon with a high base power STAB move that, at +2, has a chance to OHKO most physically defensive pokemon, including Ho-Oh, Alomomola, and Arceus-Water. Scale Shot also allows it to outspeed Zacian-C, non-Choice Scarf Calyrex-S, Miraidon, and max Speed positive natured Arceus forms. Iron Head is the perfect partner to Scale Shot, as it is able to super effectively target the Fairy types like Arceus-Fairy and Tera Fairy users like Arceus-Water, Ho-Oh, and Skeledirge, and allows Koraidon to be able to be able to OHKO all of them with Tera Steel at +2, though it is a roll for Skeledirge. Iron Head also does not cause recoil damage like Flare Blitz would, allowing Koraidon to use more Substitutes and, with Tera Steel, better avoid being revenge killed by Extreme Speed from Arceus. With this move combo, Koraidon is able to hit nearly the entire metagame for neutral damage, except Necrozma-DM and Tera Steel users such as Ting-Lu and Giratina-O. To combat this, Substitute can alternatively be replaced for Low Kick, making it easier to take down Steel-types, though at the expense of leaving Koraidon more vulnerable to status moves.

With this set, Koraidon is able to fit on both hyper offense and bulky offense teams. Because Tera Steel and Substitute work to bait and nullify checks such as Arceus-Fairy and Arceus-Water, Koraidon becomes an excellent teammate for Pokemon that would otherwise struggle with defensive Arceus forms, such as Dragon Dance Arceus-Ground, Zacian-C, and Arceus. Entry hazard setters such as Glimmora, Deoxys-S, Ting-Lu, and Eternatus are also excellent teammates, as their hazard-setting capabilities can help guarantee an OHKO on bulky Pokemon, like the aforementioned defensive Arceus formes. Due to the fact that using Swords Dance Koraidon often means forgoing the usual Choice Scarf Koraidon on most bulky offense and balance teams, Choice Scarf users such as Calyrex-S, Ditto, Kyogre, and Landorus-T are also excellent teammates for Koraidon, as they allow for the team to maintain a level of speed control. Because Iron Head Koraidon struggles with Steel-types like Necrozma-DM and Tera Steel users like Ting-Lu and Giratina-O, having a Ground-type like Arceus-Ground or a Fire-type like Ho-Oh is good to help Koraidon where it falls short. Also, due to Koraidon being naturally outsped by Calyrex-S, Arceus is another great teammate as it is able to switch into Calyrex-S’s attacks, and threaten it out with Shadow Claw. Special attackers such as Miraidon, Calyrex-S, and Kyogre also make for excellent teammates, as they are able to break through physical walls - such as Dondozo - that Koraidon would be unable to take out.

Koraidon is able to bait its checks (mention what checks, i.e. fairyceus, waterceus and also mola) to switch into it, and then use Substitute and a Steel typing to safely click Swords Dance, enabling it to reach +2 attack (this is fluff or dex info which you avoid in analyses). With Substitute, Koraidon is able to setup without fear of being statused (statused by whom? twave/wisp from fairyceus waterceus skele, toxic from gliscor, etc.) or being revenge killed by a Ditto, and can rip through many team archetypes. The speed investment allows Koraidon to outspeed max Speed neutral nuetral-natured Arceus forms, and also have enough bulk to allow its substitute to notably not break in one hit by withstand Judgment from uninvested Arceus-Fairy, and Arceus-Water while sun is up, and Dynamax Cannon from Eternatus attacks from uninvested Arceus-Fairy, Arceus-Water, and non-fire Eternatus sets once Koraidon has Terastallized. The ease of setup and the guaranteed 4-hit effect of Loaded Dice prove to be a devastating combo with (fluff) Scale Shot, provides providing Koraidon with a high base power STAB move that can, at +2, OHKO most physically defensive pokemon, including Ho-Oh, Alomomola, and Arceus-Water (+2 252+ Atk Orichalcum Pulse Koraidon Scale Shot (5 hits) vs. 240 HP / 252+ Def Arceus-Water: 390-465 (88.4 - 105.4%) -- approx. 6.6% chance to OHKO; similarly needs 5 hits to almost OHKO mola and roll to KO ho-oh with phy def ). Scale Shot also provides a Speed boost, (fluff) allows allowing it to outspeed Zacian-Crowned, non-Choice Scarf Calyrex-S, Miraidon, and max Speed positive any +speed natured Arceus forms. The Defense drop that comes from using this move does make Koraidon weaker to an opposing Arceus's Extreme Speed, though this is partially helped by the fact that Tera Steel will resist the attack. (preferably reword this to reduce fluff. also tera steel is supposed to be a midground b/w fire and ghost for killing fairyceus while taking espeed well, mention that) Iron Head is the perfect partner to Scale Shot, as it is able to supereffectively target the Fairy types like Arceus-Fairy and Tera Fairy users like Arceus-Water, Ho-Oh, and Skeledirge that would otherwise be immune to Scale Shot, while also making use of the STAB boost gained through Terastallization. (the last part of the sentence adds nothing useful, mention ohkoing arceus-fairy at +2 after tera) With this move combo, Koraidon is able to hit the nearly the entire metagame for neutral damage, with the only notable except being Necrozma-DM Necrozma-Dusk-Mane (can mention tera steel users like tinglu and girao, lu esp deserves a mention for annoying this set when you don't carry low kick). To combat this, Substitute can alternatively be replaced for Low Kick, making it easier to take down Steel types, though at the expense of leaving Koraidon more vulnerable to status moves. (there should be a mention of how iron head doesn't make korai kill itself from recoil unlike blitz, so it's better for longevity and avoiding getting rk'd by ekiller's espeed thanks to tera steel)

(why only caly? why not ditto, ogre or lando?) Because Iron Head Koraidon lacking Low Kick struggles with Steel types like Necrozma-Dusk-Mane and Tera Steel users like Ting-Lu and Giratina-O Zacian-C (+2 ihead ohkoes zac after tera and u resist both its stab + ppl rarely CC a korai), having a ground type like Arceus-Ground is good to help Koraidon where it falls short (you can keep the groundy mention if u want but mention waterceus covering them defensively as well as hooh threatening them w sfire). Also, due to Koraidon being naturally outsped by Calyrex-S, Arceus is another great teammate as it is able to switch into Calyrex-S’s attacks, and threaten it out with Shadow Claw.
