Iron Valiant @ Choice Scarf
Name: Choice Scarf (Fighting)
Ability: Quark Drive
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Moonblast
- Thunderbolt / Energy Ball
- Shadow Ball
- Knock Off / Trick

Iron Valiant is one of Fighting teams' best assets with amazing qualities between its typing, Speed, and offenses. Choice Scarf accentuates its Speed further and lets it outspeed many threats to Fighting teams such as Tornadus-T, Spectrier, Tapu Koko, and Choice Scarf users such as Tapu Lele and Galarian Zapdos. Its STAB Moonblast is one of its best qualities, being able to easily beat Mega Sableye and OHKO most opposing Fighting- and Dragon-types such as Buzzwole and Mega Altaria. Thunderbolt is great coverage to hit Flying- and Water-types like Tornadus-T and Toxapex that otherwise wall Iron Valiant, while Energy Ball lets it deal with Mega Swampert, which it can outspeed even under rain, Rotom-W, and Gastrodon more easily. Shadow Ball prevents Iron Valiant from being walled by Gholdengo, Skeledirge, and Aegislash while also improving the Psychic matchup. Knock Off and Trick cripple defensive switch-ins such as Toxapex, Celesteela, and Clodsire by removing or replacing important items and forcing them to go without passive recovery or be Choice locked. Iron Valiant is also a great asset in the Fairy and Electric matchups, as it uses opposing Tapu Koko's Electric Surge to activate its own Quark Drive and outspeed even Regieleki and Alolan Raichu under Electric Terrain. Iron Valiant appreciates support from Mega Gallade, as it easily takes care of Poison-types like Clodsire, Mega Venusaur, and Alolan Muk. Iron Hands and Great Tusk are great teammates for the Electric matchup while also beating the likes of Toxapex, Galarian Moltres, and Gholdengo. Cobalion and Great Tusk can set up Stealth Rock and even clear entry hazards in the case of the latter. Cobalion also helps against Fairy-types such as Tapu Bulu and Tapu Lele, while Great Tusk helps deal with Tapu Koko and Assault Vest Iron Hands. Choice Band Urshifu-R is a great ally to beat Fire-types such as Volcarona and Skeledirge and Ground-types such as Landorus-T and Excadrill. Kommo-o deals with bulky Water-, Fire-, and Grass-types like Toxapex, Skeledirge, and Mega Venusaur with its massive Clangorus Soulblaze in conjunction with Taunt. Breloom is also a natural counter to Water-types, being able to deal with Swampert, and hindering defensive walls such as Toxapex with Spore. Galarian Zapdos is another great teammate that can weaken foes and safely get in Iron Valiant with U-turn.

One of Fighting teams' best assets with amazing qualities between its typing, Speed and offenses. Choice Scarf accentuates its Speed further and lets it outspeed many threats to Fighting-teams such as Tornadus-T, Spectrier, Tapu Koko and Choice Scarf users such as Tapu Lele, Gholdengo and Zapdos-G. Its access to STAB Moonblast is one of its best qualities, being able to easily beat Mega Sableye and hit opposing Fighting- and Dragon-types such as Buzzwole and Mega Altaria super effectively. Thunderbolt is great coverage to hit the Flying- and Water- types like Tornadus-T, Landorus (Landorus is a Ground-type) and Toxapex; while Energy Ball lets it deal with Swampert, Rotom-W and Mega Diancie more easily. Shadow Ball lets it deal with Gholdengo, Spectrier and Aegislash which are very valuable targets. Meanwhile Psyshock lets it counter Poison-types like Clodsire, Mega Venusaur and Slowking-G (These need to be weakened considerably and Knock Off hits Slowking-G anyways). Knock Off and Trick cripple defensive switch-ins such as Toxapex, Celesteela and Heatran. Knock Off also deals decent damage to Ghost-types even without investment and removes key items from the likes of Toxapex, Volcarona and Gliscor. Iron Valiant is also a great asset in the Fairy and Electric matchups as it uses opposing Tapu Koko's Electric Surge to activate its own Quark Drive and outspeed even Regieleki and Raichu-A under terrain. Iron Valiant has amazing coverage but cannot fit all of it hence it appreciates support from teammates which can cover what it foregoes (Sort of the point of listing teammates, felt like filler). Mega Gallade easily takes care of Poison-types like Clodsire and Muk-A. Iron Hands and Great Tusk are good teammates for the Electric matchup while also beating the likes of Toxapex, Moltres-G and Gholdengo. Great Tusk is also able to set up and remove entry hazards which help Iron Valiant a lot. Blaziken easily breaks past the likes of Melmetal, Aegislash and Rillaboom and can even beats opposing Iron Valiant with enough Speed Boosts. Urshifu-R and Keldeo are great allies to beat Fire-types such as Volcarona and Mega Charizard Y (Keldeo loses the 1v1 and Urshifu needs a Choice Band) , and Ground-types such as Landorus-T and Excadrill. Kommo-o deals with Water-, Fire- and Grass-types like ___ with its massive Clangorus Soulblaze. Breloom is also a natural counter to Water-types like Swampert and Cobalion helps in the against Fairy-types matchup like ___ (Mention example of Fairy types). Cobalion can also pivot in Iron Valiant with Volt Switch and can set up Stealth Rock to make cleaning for Iron Valiant easier. (Galarian Zapdos should probably get a mention)

Choice Scarf accentuates its Speed further and lets it outspeed many threats to Fighting-teams such as Tornadus-T, Spectrier, Tapu Koko and Choice Scarf users such as Tapu Lele, Gholdengo (You get bonked by it anyway, and Knock wont help) and Zapdos-G Galarian Zapdos. Its access to STAB Moonblast is one of its best qualities, being able to easily beat Mega Sableye and hit opposing Fighting- and Dragon-types such as Buzzwole and Mega Altaria (you mostly ohko, and rk boosted M.Alt and Kommo-o, which is great) super effectively. Thunderbolt is great coverage to hit the Flying- and Water- types like Tornadus-T and Toxapex; while Energy Ball lets it deal with Swampert (take note that its fast enough to even outspeed and OHKO M.Pert in rain), Rotom-W and Mega Diancie (not an OHKO, better off using a diff team mate since you is dying, probably) more easily. Shadow Ball lets it deal with Gholdengo, Spectrier and Aegislash which are very valuable targets. (make this to Psyshock may be considered, and put this sentence after the Koff line) Meanwhile Psyshock lets it counter Poison-types like Clodsire, Iron Moth and Nidoking. Knock Off and Trick cripple defensive switch-ins such as Toxapex, Celesteela and Heatran. Knock Off also deals decent damage to Ghost-types even without investment and removes key items from the likes of Toxapex, Volcarona Celesteela and (something specially bulky)Gliscor. Iron Valiant is also a great asset in the Fairy and Electric matchups as it uses opposing Tapu Koko's Electric Surge to activate its own Quark Drive and outspeed even Regieleki and Raichu-A Alolan Raichu under terrain. Iron Valiant appreciates support from Mega Gallade as it easily takes care of Poison-types like Clodsire and Alolan Muk (honestly pex/M.Ven should be here too) Muk-A. Iron Hands and Great Tusk are good teammates for the Electric matchup while also beating the likes of Toxapex, Moltres-G and Gholdengo (separate Tusk and Hands, put Tusk and Cobalion together as they're hazard support). Great Tusk is also able to set up and remove entry hazards which help Iron Valiant a lot. Blaziken easily breaks past the likes of Mega Scizor, Aegislash and Rillaboom and can even beats opposing Iron Valiant with enough Speed Boosts. Choice Band Urshifu-R is a great ally to beat Fire-types such as Volcarona and Blaziken, and Ground-types such as Landorus-T and Excadrill. Kommo-o deals with Water-, Fire- and Grass-types like Toxapex, Skeledirge and Mega Venusaur with its massive Clangorus Soulblaze. Breloom is also a natural counter to Water-types like Swampert and Cobalion helps against Fairy-types like Tapu Lele and Tapu Bulu (if wanted, just mash Shifu, breloom and Zapdos-G together imo, because this is getting too lengthy). Cobalion can also pivot in Iron Valiant with Volt Switch and can set up Stealth Rock to make cleaning for Iron Valiant easier. Zapdos-G is another great teammate which can weaken the opposition and safely get in Iron Valiant with U-Turn.

Shadow Ball lets it deal with Gholdengo, Skeledirge and Aegislash which are very valuable targets. (more like it prevents Valiant from being walled by them, this sentence is just knowing type matchups otherwise, it also helps in the Psychic matchup though, I will say that) Psyshock may be considered as it lets Iron Valiant counter Poison-types like Clodsire, Iron Moth and Nidoking. (I wouldn't say Valiant counters any of these 3 with Psyshock and once again this is just knowing type matchups which we want to avoid in analyses) Knock Off and Trick cripple defensive switch-ins such as Toxapex, Celesteela and Clodsire. (merge this with the following sentence and mention how Trick hinders switch-ins by forcing them to be Choice locked) Knock Off also deals decent damage to Ghost-types even without investment and removes key items from the likes of Toxapex, Celesteela and Heatran. Iron Valiant is also a great asset in the Fairy and Electric matchups as it uses opposing Tapu Koko's Electric Surge to activate its own Quark Drive and outspeed even Regieleki and Alolan Raichu under terrain. Iron Hands and Great Tusk are great teammates for the Electric matchup while also beating the likes of Toxapex, Moltres-G and Gholdengo. Great Tusk and Cobalion are able to set up Stealth Rock which help Iron Valiant a lot. (mention that Great Tusk can also remove hazards with Rapid Spin, useful as it is Fighting's most viable hazard removal) Cobalion can also pivot in Iron Valiant with Volt Switch and can set up Stealth Rock to make cleaning for Iron Valiant easier. (feel like this can be merged with the previous sentence especially when you mention Stealth Rock again here) Choice Band Urshifu-R is a great ally to beat Fire-types such as Volcarona and Skeledirge, and Ground-types such as Landorus-T and Excadrill. Kommo-o deals with Water-, Fire- and Grass-types like Toxapex, Skeledirge and Mega Venusaur with its massive Clangorus Soulblaze. (Kommo-o also needs Taunt to check those, also would mention how it can sweep in the Dragon matchup, where Iron Valiant can remove Mega Altaria for it) Breloom is also a natural counter to Water-types like Swampert and Cobalion helps against Fairy-types like Tapu Lele and Tapu Bulu. (move the Cobalion part to the sentence that first mentions Cobalion, also what makes Breloom a "natural counter" to Water-types aside from its typing?) Galarian Zapdos is another great teammate which can weaken the opposition and safely get in Iron Valiant with U-turn.
