Greninja is the heart and soul of this team
Core Sweeper Greninja @ LifeOrb/Protean/Timid
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
- Hydro Pump / Surf
- Dark Pulse
- Ice Beam
- Hidden Power Fire
My team is based around greninja. When he finally comes into play all the priority move users will be identified and taken care of. All the pokemon will be missing some health so this guy can proceed to sweep with OHKO. Ice beam, dark pulse for coverage. Unsure whether to go hydro pump for power but less accuracy or play it safe with surf. Hidden power fire for those pesky skarmorys and ferrothorns.
Ferrothorn @ Rocky Helmet/Iron Barbs/Relaxed
EV: 252 Hp / 252 Def / 4 Atk
- Stealth Rocks
- Spikes
- Leech Seed
- Gyro Ball
Ferrothorn is usually my lead and starts setting everything up for Greninja. Lays down some spikes and stealth rocks so everyone is missing some health if they switch in. Leech seed to sustain him and just be annoying. Gyro ball an attacking move and generally quite good (3HKO on conkeldur). I was thinking for spikes would it be better to replace that with thunder wave so I can paralyze fast threats to greninja and allow me to out speed everything?
Rotom-W @ Chesto Berry/Levitate/Modest
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Volt Switch
- Will-O-Wisp
- Rest
Rotom-W deals with gale wings talon flame witch is a massive threat to greninja because of the priority and it also deals with aegislash with will-o-wisp allowing greninja to take a priority shadow sneak if aegislash is burned. Chesto berry rest allows it to effectively have a second life. Volt switch for easy
switching and hydro pump for coverage. Will-o-wisp for making life easier for greninja.
Scizor @ Choice Band/Technician/Adamant
248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SDef
Adamant Nature
- U-Turn
- Bullet Punch
- Pursuit
- Brick Break
Scizor used to get as much damage out as possible. U-turn for wearing down physical walls and allowing me to switch in to anything to scout there pokemon. Brick break for coverage, pursuit for pursuit trapping. Scizor doesn't need speed evs due to pursuit and bullet punch and generally lets him tank anything for a u-turn so what pokemon I switch in doesn't need to.
Mandibuzz @ Leftovers/Overcoat/Impish
EV's 252 HP 252 Def 4 Atk
- Foul Play
- Brave Bird
- Roost
- Defog
Mandibuzz can deal with aegislash OHKO with knockoff (Can even take a +2 sacred sword and follow up with a OHKO), bravebird I belive is a 2HKO on conkeldur which is quite a common threat these days, roost allows me to survive longer and defog is only used if completely necessary (I dont want to lose my entry hazards).
Gyarados @ Gyaradosite/Intimidate/Jolly
EVs: 168 Spd / 252 Atk / 88 HP
- Dragon Dance
- Waterfall
- Ice Fang
- Earthquake
Gyarados rarely sweeps but he is the unsung hero as usually he sets up the sweep for greninja. If he stays in non-mega form he can eat u-turns and close combats to set up (especially with intimidate), and switching to mega form lets him eat a volt switch or tbolt. With 168 speed EVs and a positive nature gyarados outspeeds base 130s (aka jolteon) after a dragon dance. Attack is maxed out for maximum damage, and the rest is dumped into HP for easier setup. Water/ice/ground is very good coverage, especially with mold breaker, which lets him hit levitate pokes with EQ. For example, gyarados OHKOs rotom-w at +1, which is obviously very nice. Gyarados punches holes in the opposing team and/or weakens their water resists.
All suggestions welcome
