abomasnow.png

Abomasnow
Snow Warning
Jolly
Choice Scarf
252 SP ATK , 252 Speed , 4 HP

Grass Knot
Blizzard
Hidden Power Ground
Focus Blast

Abomasnow starts the game with hail and then spam with Blizzard most of the time .
Retreat , another free hail when it enter the stage .
Grass Knot for another STAB , Hidden Power Ground for any fire pokemon that's going to pop out , Focus Blast for steel or ice pokemon who tries to take advantage .

Froslass.png

Froslass
Snow Cloak
Timid
Bright Powder
252 SP Atk , 252 Speed , 4 HP
Confuse Ray , Thunder Wave , Destiny Bond , Blizzard

Confuse Ray and Thunder Wave . Under hail + snow cloak .
Rather annoying I think .
Blizzard for STAB . In case enemy gets through Confuse Ray + T-Wave and Snow Cloak , Destiny Bond could still bring the opponent down .

Glaceon.png

Glaceon
Snow Cloak
Modest
Choice Specs
252 SP Atk , 252 HP , 4 Speed
Blizzard , Hidden Power Fire, Hyper Beam, Shadow Ball

The most powerful Blizzard user .
With Choice Specs and Modest Nature , Glaceon is sure one pokemon to be feared . However , it's HP and speed were low .
Hyper Beam mainly for filler -.-"

Dugtrio.png

Dugtrio
Arena Trap
Jolly
Choice Band
252 Speed, 252 Atk , 4 HP

Sucker Punch , Stone Edge , Earthquake , Night Slash

Traps and kills Tyranitar and stops it messing up your hail repeatedly. Also kills Infernape, Breloom, and Heatran. Takes out grounded Poison-types who come in to absorb your Toxic Spike .

starmie.png

Starmie
Timid
Life Orb
252 SP.Atk , 252 Speed , 4 HP
Hail , Blizzard , Surf , Psychic

Using Starmie's speed to start off another hail , or just another blizzard sweep . Surf is for fire pokemon while psychic is for those fighting pokemon who wants to break my Ice team as well as for STAB .

Mamoswine.png

Mamoswine
Snow Cloak
Jollly
Life Orb
252 Atk , 252 Speed , 4 SP.Atk
Blizzard , Earthquake , Super Power, Ice Shard

The powerhouse of the team .

How was this team formed ?

The lead was chosen to be Abomasnow obviously to start a hailstorm .

Castform was initially on my mind to be put onto this team for another summon of hail , however was replaced by Starmie due to it's better speed and higher SP.Atk for a successful hail summon . (Floatzel focus more on ATK than SP.Atk therefore , not really abusing blizzard )

Mamoswine and Glaceon was the main powerhouse of the team though they were rather slow therefore the other team mates should be fast .

Frosslass was chosen due to its speed and also , Confuse Ray . That was when I thought of abusing it's snow cloak with Thunderwave and confuse ray to keep forcing switching and keep paralysing switching in pokemon ( for Glaceon to stand a better chance in moving faster )

Dugtrio was chosen to stop the annoying hippo and tyranitar , trap and hopefully finishes them off before they retreat and cause another

Though this team haven't been tested out yet , but I'm sure
Brozong , Metagross and Scizor totally rape this team

The biggest problem is see is Glaceon.

1. It has Choice Specs, Why Do You Have Wish?
-Swap Wish for another damage move, otherwise you'll have to switch twice to do damage
2. Its Speed is 167 (I think), so you're probably only going to get one hit, if that.
-Switch the EVs from HP to Speed, add a Choice Scarf, or just one of those

You might also try Swampert for disposing of Metagross, Heatran, and other Steel/Fire threats

I used a Choice Scarf Glaceon on my Hail team and it performed rather well. Don't use Hyper Beam though. I would pick Water Pulse instead which hits Pokémon like Heatran and Mamoswine. Switch Abomasnow's nature to Timid, instead of Jolly. I would remove Hail from Starmie and add Rapid Spin because you have 2 Pokémon that take 12.5% from Stealth Rock, and 3 Pokémon that take 25%. If you can get rid of entry hazards, you can switch Abomasnow in and out much more often, eliminating the need for a secondary (measly 5 turn) Hail support as long as you don't waste your Abomasnow. Oh and one last team comment, where is Walrein?

Expand your descriptions, because I'm sure you don't want this thread locked.

Your descriptions are rather lacking, especially Mamoswine, so you need to expand them unless you want me to lock this thread. Also note that some of your sets are at least "unconventional" so you must be way more detailed when explaining them.

I run a similar team, so i'll post what worked the best for me.

Remove Starmie and add Heatran, it will cover your Fire Weakness better.

Heatran @ Choice Scarf
252 Spe / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest
- Flamethrower/Fire Blast
- HP Grass
- Earth Power
- Explosion

You don't want Abomasnow to die to opposite leads, right ? So i suggest using Swampert instead. (Remove Dugtrio from your team and add Swampert)

Swampert @ Leftovers
252 HP / 252 SpD / 4 Def
Relaxed
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Ice Beam
- Roar

Bringing Abomasnow mid-game is better than letting it die as a lead, because Tyranitar is getting very popular these days and you don't want the Sandstorm to ruin the party.

Also, how is this a hail team without Walrein ? :P

Walrein @ Leftovers
Ice Body
220 HP / 36 SpD / 252 Def
Bold
- Protect
- Surf
- Substitute
- Toxic

Although this will seem to be very wallable/counterable, it's gonna leave the foe to seriously suffer if used right, with Toxic + Protect + Substitute stall the only thing you'll hate is Steel types, but even then you can Protect + Sub stall until they're dead due to hail damage, i've stalled whole teams with this guy before, it's just amazing, it's also better if you use a Toxic Spiker and replace Toxic with Roar on this guy, i personally use Tentacruel but it's up to you anyway.

Can I ask how Dugtrio defeats Brokenloom?

All of the moves on it's moveset are NVE against Breloom, and Breloom will OHKO with Seed Bomb or Focus Punch. If you're in a siatuation where you're switching in on Brokenloom, Duggy will also get slept, or Breloom will use a sub.

Please do not claim something which is obviously untrue.

Also, I suggest scrappping Hail on Starmie, and changeing Blizzard to Ice Beam, Hail for Recover, and stick a Life Orb on. Hydro Pump is fearsome on LO Starmie, dealing an impressive 20% to even Blissey, and 2HKO Tyranitar in the sand.

Can I ask how Dugtrio defeats Brokenloom?

Earthquake on 12 HP 0 Def Adamant Breloom does 40-48% (possible 2HKO after Stealth Rock, guaranteed 3HKO)
Earthquake on 252 HP 0 Def Adamant Breloom does 32-37% (possible 3HKO, guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock)
However...
Aerial Ace on 12 HP 0 Def Adamant Breloom does 129-153% (guaranteed 1HKO)
Aerial Ace on 252 HP 0 Def Adamant Breloom does 105-125% (guaranteed 1HKO)

So I would definitely consider Aerial Ace over one Dark move and then decide between Sucker Punch, Night Slash, or Pursuit for the last slot

This link will provide better help than I will, but I recommend you read what I wrote first: http://www.smogon.com/dp/articles/art_hail_stall

However, that link doesn't give any insight to offensive Hail (which is what I see here) so you're gonna have to improvise.

Hrm, no offense, but it's rather obvious this is your very first Hail team.

A rookie mistake is that trainers are overly excessive on the usage of Hail, and therefore use six Ice-types.
Obviously, that's not what happened here. However, it's stilll close enough to make little difference...

TYPE STRUCTURE
-3 Fight weak, 2 resist (not as bad as the others, but still pretty shaky)
-3 Rock weak, 1 resist (not a good one at that), NO Rapid Spin
-4 Fire weak, 1 resist (and Dugtrio won't be eating Fire Blasts anytime soon)
-Same as above for Steel, but on a bigger level

MOVE SYNERGY
Abomasnow: Nothing wrong, except for the fact Jolly decreases Special Attack. I would personally go for mixed if you have a Scarf.
Froslass: Confuse Ray/Thunder Wave with Destiny Bond is redundant. Aside from spreading Paralysis, I really don't understand what she is supposed to do.
Glaceon: I take your word for it for super-powerful STAB 120 power with infinite Accuracy boosted by Choice Specs, complemented by Froslass spreading Paralysis. Personally, I'd recommend Baton Pass or Sleep Talk over Hyper Beam, but this team really cannot afford to switch much without a way to stop Stealth Rock.
Dugtrio: You know, the moderator wasn't kidding when he said this RMT is bare-bones. The Dugtrio itself isn't bad; first of all, Dugtrio is NOT outrunning Scarf Heatran (Timid or otherwise) without help from Froslass. Dugtrio can barely 2HKO Breloom with Hail up (this is assuming Breloom has no Leftovers or Toxic Orb). And frankly, I don't see why you should care about eliminating Poisons, seeing as the only concern at all is that Abomasnow is weak to it.
Starmie: Ignoring the lack of Rapid Spin, all-in-all good. Personally I would use Recover, Hidden Power, heck, even Power Gem over Hail.
Mamoswine: Main Physical attacker with Special backup. Got it. You need to flesh the description out more, though.

Situations
Abomasnow Scarf lead. Gets Hail up ASAP, got it.
Abomasnow is unable to counter many other leads. But you can always switch immediately (though this often means Stealth Rock is coming soonish) while pelting them with Hail.
e.g. Aerodactyl outspeeds and OHKO Abomasnow with Rock Slide. Recommended action is to switch to Starmie or Mamoswine, though neither will appreciate taking a hit. This has only been a common example of how the team lacks synergy.

Threats
Do you know why Bronzong and Metagross and Scizor tear the team apart? Bronzong is largely indifferent to all attacks save for probably Glaceon's Hidden Power. Bronzong can straight-out OHKO or 2HKO all but Starmie using only Gyro Ball.
Same goes for Metagross, except Meteor Mash and Rock Polish are 99% more likely, has ThunderPunch to nail Starmie, and is more vulnerable to Dugtrio.
Scizor straight-out murders everyone with Bullet Punch except Starmie, where it has either Bug STAB or a Dark move at its disposal.
And there's much more than just that.

FROM ADVICE TO RAW HELP
If I were to upgrade this team into its best potential, that wouldn't work because honestly it's so bad I would have to rework it entirely.
For now, I'm going to just explain how to bolster each one individually, not as a team.
Abomasnow: As previously mentioned, not bad. Change to Timid if you want full-on Special. Otherwise, if you want to keep Scarf, change to Hasty 140 Attack, 116 Special Attack, max Speed (ripped the EVs from Smogon) with Earthquake. Other moves can be slotted over Focus Blast, like Focus Punch or Hidden Fire Power. You don't have to feel inclined to lead with Abomasnow.
Frolass: Good in general, but lacks purpose. Perhaps using Substitute, Taunt, or Spikes will make her less emo? You don't have to feel inclined to use Blizzard. Froslass is meant to be a support Pokemon, a weapon to be used by the other Pokemon.
Glaceon: It's ok. I still recommend something other than Hyper Beam.
Dugtrio: Again, passable. If you really want to maim Breloom, Aerial Ace will be needed, preferably over a Dark attack.
Starmie: As a team option, I'd have Rapid Spin. As an offensive juggernaut, at the very least use Hail on someone bulkier.
Mamoswine: I would use Stone Edge over Superpower, but w/e. 64 SpAtk EVs and Naughty will give you enough oomph to 2HKO Skarmory and straight-out murder other Pokemon that would otherwise give trouble, e.g. Tangrowth.

Fun Note: A Pokemon takes maximum damage from Stealth Rock if its HP is divisible by 4, which is often the case. You can tinker with this (especially with Rock-weak Pokemon) by dumping 4 EVs somewhere else. This will allow you to take 4 SR instead of fainting to the same amount. That is a very big deal for this team especially.
Fun Tip: I enjoy using http://www.smogon.com/dp/articles/ou_speed_tiers to get the best milage off my Speed EVs.

Drop HyperBeam on Glaceon.
Heatrans is a huge threat to your team of them.
Dugtrio can't switch in on a Fire Blast, so if Starmies dead its sure to down a pokemon with it.
So if Starmie and Dugtrio are KO'd, Heatran can Fire Blast away.

I'm not experienced at all with Hail Teams, so I don't have any recommendations.
I don't want to recommend something bad.
But I would try to change the fact that 4 of your pokemon are weak to Fire.

I agree with not OHKOing Breloom with any of Dugtrio's moves, but i disagree on the rest of your post, first of all, its Dugtrio, not Duggy, and why switch Blizzard with Ice Beam when Blizzard has 100% accuracy ? It's not like Starmie would stay on a Tyranitar anyway, it's either run and get Pursuited, or stay and get Crunched, no hit from Starmie can OHKO Tyranitar anyway unless it's a crit, Starmie can't hurt Tyranitar while Tyranitar can hit back with a Crunch and OHKO Starmie, so staying in is redundant.

Also, i didn't say this before but get rid of Choice Scarf if your getting a lead Abomasnow, give it Leech Seed, Protect, Substitute, Blizzard, 252 HP, 252 SpD and 4 SpA, Sassy nature, and 0 Spe IVs. Leech Seed will help Abomasnow survive for much longer and Protect will give you another turn of recovery while making the foe suffer from hail, but i still recommend bringing Abomasnow mid-game instead of using it as a lead because you simply don't want to lose it at the first of the game and then a Tyranitar comes in and ruin your whole team.

I didn't read your whole RMT before (i just did), and i noticed that your Mamoswine has Blizzard, drop that for Stone Edge as it can help you against opposite Gyarados who can get a DD and then Stone Edge your whole team.
