For those of you who don't know, there's a Kanto tournament for Japanese game karts. I live in Japan so i have one thankfully. I want to participate but I'm having trouble finding a 6th member, tell me what you guys think and let me know what you'd change!
Dragonite@Lum Berry
Jolly/Multiscale
252 Atk/4 SpDf/252 Speed
-Dragon Dance
-Outrage
-Extremespeed
-Earthquake
As obvious as it gets. This will probably be the most used (and rightly so) pokemon in the tournament so I thought I'd use it. Earthquake over fire punch because it OHKO's Eviolite Magneton and there are no other steel types to hit so Earthquake seems to be better. I made him jolly for the reason you will see below:
Cloyster@Choice Scarf
252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spd
Jolly/Skill Link
-Icicle Spear
-Rock Blast
-Razor Shell
-Ice Shard
Jolly and scarfed means he outruns Jolly Dragonite before a Dance and still outruns Adamant Nite after a Dance. Considering running a focus sash version with Shell Smash but I don't know if that's good or not. Can swap into a +1 Outrage and OHKO with icicle spear or can kill with ice shard after stealth rock damage.
Chansey@Eviolite
Bold/Natural Cure
252 HP/252 Def/4 Spd
-Softboiled
-Stealth Rock
-Thunder Wave
-Seismic Toss
Another basic set. Very few good pokemon can use stealth rock in this format, and I think it's just necessary between Dragonite, Cloyster and mons like Zapdos. I considered Eviolite Rhydon but I just don't think he's good. Thunder wave should perhaps be Toxic?
Starmie@Life Orb
Natural Cure/Timid
252 SpA/252 Spd/4 SpD
-Rapid Spin
-Psyshock
-Ice Beam
-Thunderbolt
I'm using Dragonite so I feel like I need a spinner. Starmie beats blastoise (unfortunately) because psyshock OHKO's Gengar (the only spin blocker in the format) and ice beam gets dragonite after you break multiscale. No water-stab seems bad but I think it's worth it to kill the only ghost around, and it also kills Venasaur. Besides, there's no dark pokemon around.
Gengar@Focus Sash
Levitate/Timid
4 HP/252 SpA/252 Spd
-Thunderbolt
-Focus Blast
-Shadow Ball
-Ice Beam
Here's another on I'm not too sure on. Gengar is unfortunately slower than Starmie, and any Starmie with Hydro Pump/Psychic/Psyshock (you know, all of them) can OHKO Gengar before he gets an attack in. However, he can also OHKO starmie using Shadow ball. Thunderbolt is there for the rare Blastoise and other water types, but it might be better as pain split/substitute. The idea is to get a free switch in on rapid spin and kill after getting knocked down to 1 by starmie, but perhaps I should just wear a choice scarf and give cloyster focus sash/white herb?
I also need a sixth member, and I would love any and all advice!
P.S. How do you add sprites?
