jman8620's first real RMT!

hello there everybody! I made this team today in the hopes that it wouldn't be really terrible, and it turned out that I won 3 or 4 battles in a row on shoddy... After that I started counting and I got to winning 17-20 battles. In my books, that is a pretty good record. Earlier today, I started testing teams with really good type coverage, like the Celetran combo, or the Heatran/Scizor/(any flying type) combo.

SUMMARY
The team, at first wasn't about synergy, or anything like that, but after testing, I decided to make it better. I can't even remember what I replaced, but the stuff I put in breloom, latias, and zapdos, cause the other people I had were bad. So I changed it.

THE LEAD:
Mamoswine.png

MAMOSWINE @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Snow Cloak
Adamant Nature
Ev's: 252 atk, 252 spe, 4 hp
Ice Fang/Earthquake/Stealth Rock/Stone Edge

Summary: My lead, and Stealth rocker. I ususally won't stealth rock first turn cause he's scarfed, but if I think they will switch to a flyer, I'll use stone edge, because gyrados is a common switch in for mamoswine. So far I can maybe get 1 kill with mamoswine or more sometimes.
Choices: I chose scarfswine because he's a really good earthquaker, and with scarf, he surprises a lot of people. Ability, I chose snow cloak over Oblivious cause of random Abomasnow that are in teams. Ev's are obvious, max speed, and Attack. I chose Ice Fang over Ice Shard for power, and since I have scarf, it's kinda redundant. Earthquake and Stone Edge are obvious for type coverage, stealth rock is for switching in later.

FOCUS PAWNCH:
Breloom.png

Breloom @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
Nature: Jolly
Ev's: 252 Atk, 252 Spe, 4 sp def
Substitute/Spore/Focus Punch/Seed Bomb

Summary: Great pokemon overall, but the speed is pretty bad, that's why I put T-wave on Latias. Great attack, and heals really fast after substitutes are up.

Choices: I chose Breloom, because I needed a physical attacker, and I wanted to use Breloom for a while. I chose Jolly nature over Adamant because the speed boost helps. Ev's are obvious, I put the 4 ev's into special defense because it's the lower of the 2 defense stats. Moves are really standard, subpunch and spore, with seed bomb for the other stab.

CALM MINDER:
Latias.gif

Latias @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
Timid Nature
Ev's: 148 hp, 252 spe, 108 sp atk
Calm Mind/Recover/Thunder-Wave/Dragon Pulse

Summary: I chose Latias because it's a great special wall, and it works well with Breloom except for the Ice weakness, but I have Empoleon for that. Thunder-wave is for slowing down enemies for when I switch in Empoleon, or Breloom.

Choices: 3 out of the 4 moves are obvious. I would use refresh, but I need T-wave support to slow down my enemies. Mostly because my 2 main sweepers (Breloom, and Empoleon) are really slow. Dragon Pulse for stab, calm mind for setting up, and recover to heal off status damage, or whatever.

PHYSICAL COUNTER:
zapdos.png

Zapdos @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
Bold Nature
Ev's: 72 hp, 180 def, 180 spe, 78 sp atk
Thunderbold/Roost/hp Grass/Heat Wave

Summary: My physical counter, that can take almost every physical hit, except stone edge, and can return with something better. Hits Swampert hard with Hp grass, and is also my scizor counter.

Choices: Chose bold nature for the defense boost, which is perfect. Ev's are kind-of random, and would happily change them to something that makes more sense... they are pretty meh IMO. Heat wave is for scizor, and HP grass is for swampert, Thunderbolt is for stab, and Roost heals hp.

UNDER-RATED:
Empoleon.png

Empoleon @ Petaya berry
Ability: Torrent
Timid Nature
Ev's: 252 sp atk, 252 spe, 4 hp
Substitute/Surf/Grass Knot/Agility

Summary: Really under-rated, and nobody expects this pokemon. It has almost no weaknesses, so it switches in nicely, and can get an agility on the switch. Or a substitute.

Choices: I like Empoleon a lot. Petaya berry is for sp attack boost, and with torrent, it gives surf amazing power. Grass-Knot over Ice Beam for bulky waters, and everything else is standard.

DRAGON DANCE:
Salamence.png

Salamence @ Yache Berry
Ability: Intimidate
Jolly Nature
Ev's: 252 atk, 252 spe, 4 hp
Dragon Dance/Earthquake/Fire Blast/Outrage (or dragon claw)

Summary: The dragon dancer of my team. It works well for late game sweeping, and if used early game, can sweep whole teams sometimes.

Choices: I chose Yache Berry over leftovers, or whatever, for pokemon using Ice Beam, or other ice moves. Common switch ins for this guy are bulky waters with Ice beam, like Lanturn, Swampert, Suicune and Vaporeon, which are all covered by breloom, except lanturn, and that is what earthquake is for. Jolly nature to outspeed other Salamences.

Thats my team, thanks for any RMT's that you guys give me, I'll be editing in a Threat list in a little bit.
