I got this PM from LonelyNess - and I edited it around with the wording a bit to make it "fit" better.

Aerodactyl is showing its versatility right out of the gate. It can be used as a lead with the SR/Taunt combination, or it can be used as the Deoxys-E of UU, outspeeding everything and 2HKO'ing or OHKO'ing the majority of UU with its amazing type coverage. Definately one of the most potent late game sweepers.

The walling combination of Steelix/Weezing/Clefable is deadly effective as it walls the majority of UU. One of the only offensive threats that can hope to break it is Nasty Plot Ninetails with Fire Blast and a LO and even then, it must be weary of switching in to either Clefable's Twave or Steelix's Earthquake. This is probably why wall breakers are becoming more common as the new additions promote stall in UU.

Expect to see quite a few Cacturn/Glaceon/Sharpedo if you're facing an offensively based team. Venusaur is an example of a premiere stall breaker with Scarf and Leaf Storm - if you don't carry a Grass resist (even though that's fairly easy) you WILL be destroyed one pokemon at a time. And it has fairly decent type coverage despite its limited movepool. Leaf Storm/Sludge Bomb/HP Fire/Energy Ball hits the majority of UU for neutral atleast

Leafeon remains one of the largest threats, however new additions Venusaur and Articuno can take what it dishes out and hit back with STAB super effective special type moves which stop it cold.

Technotop has seen little to no use as of late. Its prowess as a late game sweeper with priority moves has been eliminated. It just doesn't hit hard enough anymore to keep up with the increasingly bulky UU.

Poor Vileplume sees little use with the addition of Venusaur. Despite being a slight bit bulkier than our favorite Grass starter, the increase in speed and Special Attack afforded by Venusaur is too good to pass up. And with no notable movepool differences, Vileplume will likely continue to fade into obscurity

All in all, the metagame has become incredibly centralized, even more so since July statistics come out. I wouldn't be surprised to see the OU UU list down to below 30 when August statistics come early September.

I removed two points after discussing it with a few other people - and removed some extreme wording. It'd be nice to have more feedback on these points, and any more points, especially since I don't play UU
