Just a Basic OU Team

This tea was put together with some of my favorite Pokemon, and also other OU Pokemon to cover some of the holes. I need advice though because something seems missing. Any advice will be appreciated.

The Floor Melter

Ad1mh8HfXdAtAAAAAElFTkSuQmCC

FloorOfLava (Heatran) (F) @ Shuca Berry Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Stealth Rock
- Flamethrower
- Dark Pulse
- Earth Power
What this hot chick does should be obvious from what she does best in gen 4. However, I always thought that extra coverage is good. With dark pulse, she is able to hit ghosts who try to hit him with a neutral or even SE Coverage move or even worse, a balloon Chandera attempting to get a FF boost. She hits 394 SAtk and then 253 Spd. A decent number. She also uses the advantage of zone to draw in fire moves. However, the weaknesses shared are a little bit risky between the two (IE 4X Ground...oi)

The Poisoned Prostitute

AAOjHWdkGxlqAAAAAElFTkSuQmCC
Rouge (Gliscor) (F) @ Toxic Orb
Trait: Poison Heal
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Thunder Fang
- Ice Fang
- Earthquake
Not Gliscor, what i always say, If it's physical, and not ice, it's walled. She hits an amazing 314 defense with no investment. The use of the poison orb, not only activates her poison heal, it also is quite easy to swap into predicted tricks. The coverage is quite good and has saved me several times. Now while the special defense is lacking, that's what teammates are for :D. Now however, i was thinking of fire fang for Sczior and fort. (Speaking of Fort, he was able to beat a PS (Pain Split, Sturdy) Fort with this set by living off of his poison heal by getting low enough where it wouldnt activate sturdy again, she lived the rest of the match and won it)

The Ghostly Ninja

F6WRMq4C11eCAAAAAElFTkSuQmCC
GengarKan (Gengar) (F) @ Wise Glasses
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt
- Energy Ball
- Hidden Power [Ice]
Ah, my good old gengar set. Sadly walled from hell to heaven and back to hell again by Blissy, (but what special attacker without psy (shock/break). With a timid nature allows Her to hit 350 speed (Im sorry, but does this let her outspeed Jolly Sand Rush Dorry). With HP Ice allows me to OHKO many dragons. And also, by using a timid nature, it allows me to outspeed Garchomp and then be able to hit the Sharky, Dragonie, Thingie, with a 4X SE Move off of 359 attack.

The Godly Anoyer

w9mSFJtvMoNdgAAAABJRU5ErkJggg==
Priestes (Mienshao) (F) @ Life Orb
Trait: Regenerator
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Fake Out
- U-turn
- Hi Jump Kick
- Aerial Ace
So, Return with 33% recovery (23% Due to LO on U-turn but w/e) and only lose 50% MAX with a newly powered up HJK. With this spread, she reaches 339 speed and a Massive 349 Attack. The only pain in my side is that Blissy (main target) Will always protect on the first turn. I've gotten better on the predicting, but a missed HJK will make me lose a game, but all the times it does hit, it's game changing.

The Defensive Dragon

dwQag8EfLgRXSjbFg3aNuud3oiESaAQShWTpaxFU04YBp8Rsdk6HQhf8Bb0SWsDNalVuAAAAAElFTkSuQmCC

Barnie (Dragonite) (F) @ Muscle Band
Trait: Multiscale
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake
- ExtremeSpeed
- Outrage
Good old Barnie. Before Mences banning, always being forgotten. Now, this is much better. With Scale, she is able to take things like a Machamps CB Ice Punch and live to DD. Then i outspeed and Kill and often sweep. However, problems arise with Ferothorn, but that's where this next guy comes in at

The Steel Stealer

wfgvHcWTs3NRwAAAABJRU5ErkJggg==
Roswell (Magnezone) @ Air Balloon
Trait: Magnet Pull
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Tri Attack
- Thunderbolt
- Signal Beam
- Hidden Power [Fire]
So, steels are a major problem for this team (esp ferothorn with LS and Hazzards). Now zor, he is a problem while often choiced, he can either superpower if zone is the on in, or pursuit if he's trapping gengar. This often means that either A. Gar gets a free swap if Zone is in Or the exact opposite

So, all-in-all, I'm sorry if I didnt provide a good description. If any comments questions, or just simple nitpicks, just tell me and i shall fix. Thank you

These are some of my favorite pokemon too! I hate to change a lot of the team, so I won't, but there are quite a few things that can be done. Such as:

1) You put it in the Dream World category, but every pokemon listed is released. So you can play in the BW OU tier or if you made the mistake by putting it in the Dream World category, that can be changed.
2) This heatran set is kind of lacking. Balloon almost always outclasses shuca berry but I understand if you want to keep shuca because the popping of balloons can be very annoying. Dark pulse doesn't cover much and I would replace it with Hidden Power Ice because it looks like this team will have a VERY hard time against garchomp.
3) This gliscor set is new to me but that doesn't mean it's bad. I personally like to invest in more bulk but if you have thunder fang on there speed would be a necessity.
4) Life orb is better on gengar than wide glasses. The power is much more useable than an increase in accuracy for moves that are close to 100% anyways. I would also put focus blast in for grass knot.
5) Meinshao doesn't look too bad. You have plenty of HP Ice users so it is not a necessity on meinshao for this team. However, if you want to try it you could use it over aerial ace. Your choice.
6) I have never tried muscle band on dragonite. I don't think it is a bad thing either. Other than that you could try 216 speed and the rest in HP for more bulk.
7) Not a bad magnezone, either. If you want to try a substitute set I'm sure that could fit on your team too. Up to you.

I like this team, though!
