Hello all, I only have one pokemon I've been working on for my team that I'd like your opinion on: Tentacruel. Some think it's outclassed, but I love Tentacruel. So, here you go.
Tentacruel-
Ability -Liquid Ooze- Causes damage when hit with a draining attack
Item- Leftovers
Nature- Calm- +SpDef, -Atk
EVs- 128 Def, 124 SpAtk, 100 SpDef, 152 HP
Moveset
Toxic Spikes
Surf
Confuse Ray
Hex
The basic premise is to set up Toxic Spikes, and irritate the hell out of the opponent. Come in on a resisted attack, or a revenge kill. If you predict a switch, put up Toxic Spikes, or if they're already up, use Confuse Ray. This should force another switch, but if they stay in, hit them with Hex or Surf. Hex will actually hurt if they're statused, even if it's a neutral hit. Liquid Ooze works well against Leech Seeders, and Drain Punch Conkeldurr. The EVs make for decent bulk, and decent offence. The only reason for the bulk is so that after the Toxic Spikes are up, it can function as an alright wall.
So, what do you think? Do you see any problems?
