Just another stall team. (First RMT! :0)

Hello all. As noted, this is my first RMT. (My first post on Smogon, for that matter.) I've been hanging around for awhile, and while I'm sure it has all sorts of holes in it, I decided to have my team rated. I've had mixed result with it on Shoddy. So, hopefully, I can receive some input to help raise my game. 8] I'm open to changes, as well.

I'm not cool enough to use pictures for my pokemanz, so you'll have to live with text. :[

Also, especially need help with EV spreads. I'm pretty bad at utilizing them to their full potential.

Hippowdon @ leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream
Nature: impish
-Earthquake
-Stealth Rock
-Slack Off
-Ice Fang/roar
HP 252/DEF 252/ATK 4

Sandstorm setter-upper. Stealth rock setter-upper.
I like roar for phazing, but I prefer more than 1 attack.

Skarmory @ Shed Shell
Ability: Keen eye
Nature: impish
-Spikes
-Whirlwind
-Brave Bird
-Roost
HP 252/DEF 252/SPE 4

Skarmory. Great wall. Spike-setter-upper. whirl-wind for phazing.
Roost for long-levity. Shed-shell for magnezone.

Cradily @ leftovers
Ability: Suction Cups
Nature: Impish
-Stockpile
-Recover
-Earthquake/stone edge
-Toxic
HP 252/Def 252/ATK 4

Ah, this has saved me so many times. I love this set.
3 stockpiles + sandstorm? Awesome. Toxic for stall.
Don't particularly want to change this...

Lanturn @ leftovers
Ability: Volt Absorb
Nature: Calm
-Surf
-Thunderbolt/Thunder
-Ice Beam
-Thunder Wave/Confuse Ray
HP 40/SATK 136/SDEF 252/SPE 80

I used to run res/talk Omastar with toxic spikes,
but didn't like all of the fighting weakness. Kinda miss Toxic spikes, though.
I really like Lanturn, but I can't keep him alive long enought to do anything helpful. D:
I like running Thunder and confuse ray, to try and get paralyzation and confusion.

Blissey @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
Nature: Bold
-Softboiled
-Protect
-Toxic
-Flamethrower
HP 252/DEF 252/SDEF 4

Blissey. Pretty common. toxic, and then protect/softboil.
Flamethrower for those poison-resisting steels.

Hitmontop @ Life Orb
Ablity: Technician
Nature: Adamant
-Fake Out
-Mach Punch
-Close Combat
-Stone Edge/Bullet Punch
HP 252/ATK 252/SPE 4

I'm conflicted with these last two. I like them both.
I'm currently using Hitmontop, just because I feel like I need some umph to finish things.
But I'd also like to use spiritomb to block rapidspin.

Anyway. Fake out for some free damage on switch in, technician-mach/bullet punch for stronger priority.
Stone edge, or bullet punch?

OR

Spiritomb @ leftovers
Ability: Pressure
Nature: Careful
-Hypnosis
-Pursuit
-Pain Split
-Will-o-Wisp
252 HP/ATK 140/SDEF 116

Pretty average set. Hypnosis to sleep pokemon, pursuit to hit run-aways,
pain split to stay alive, WoW to remove threats.

Aaaaand... that's it. Keep in mind that I am still fairly new,
so something that might be obvious to you, might totally escape my range of thought. D:

SO. RMT. :D

Hippowdon @ leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream
Nature: impish
-Earthquake
-Stealth Rock
-Slack Off
-Ice Fang
HP 252/DEF 252/ATK 4

Ice Fang works because Skarm already has Whirlwind, and Roar is negated by the many common Taunt leads. And it allows the Hippo to function as a Salamance counter. If you predict well, you can hit Skymin as she swaps in.

Skarmory @ Shed Shell
Ability: Keen eye
Nature: impish
-Spikes
-Whirlwind
-Brave Bird
-Roost
HP 252/DEF 206/ATT 56/SPE 4

This is just to give Skarm some fighting power. It is not a requirement, but those Def. EVs lost make very little difference as Skarm's Hlth is relatively low but his Def. is very high. The EVs could be placed in SpcDef instead, its your choice.

Blissey @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
Nature: Bold / Calm
-Wish
-Protect
-Toxic
-Flamethrower
HP 20/DEF 252/SDEF 232

Protect + Toxic basically cries for Wish. Protect + Wish acts like Softboiled but you can heal the rest of your team too. Toxic drains your opponent's health in the meanwhile.
Blissey's Hlth EVs make very little difference. 20 is needed for a extra point in Leftovers recovery, the rest can go in SpcDef, because its much harder to wall specially than before thanks to SpecsLuke, Heatran etc.

Spiritomb @ leftovers
Ability: Pressure
Nature: Careful
-Hypnosis
-Pursuit
-Pain Split
-Sucker Punch
252 HP/ATK 140/SDEF 116

Spiritomb > Himontop to wall spinners. Seeing as how many walls you have, I consider WoW unnecesary. Sucker Punch is my recommended substitute to work well with Pursuit and make up for low speed (your team is very slow).

Cradily @ leftovers
Ability: Suction Cups
Nature: Careful
-Stockpile
-Recover
-stone edge
-Toxic
HP 252/SpcDef 252/ATK 4

You've got two physical walls already. Cradily is better defensively thanks to the Sandstorm boost. He may be weak to Ice, but he's also weak to Fighting, Bug and Steel, which are usually physical (and they're common attacking moves (Bug is thanks to Scizor and Heracross)). Stone Edge for Blissey and STAB, too many pokemon wall Earthquake. I think he should be replaced with Registeel (discussed later).

SO. RMT. :D

Your team has major Gyara, Skymin, Salamance (barring Hippo, but I wouldn't rely on a lead as a counter) and Sub Zapdos (Blissey will run out of PP thanks to Pressure and can't status Zap).

I'll replace Lanturn with Vaporeon for countering Gyara. Bold and 252 Def. Surf and HP Electric are necessities. Other moves could be Acid Armor and Baton Pass to work with the stall team, or Wish + Protect/Ice Beam. If you use Wish + Protect, you will probably want to give Blissey Armotherapy, Sotfboiled and Seimsic Toss instead of Wish, Protect and Flamethrower.

I recommended Registeel over Cradily because not only is he a good Spcwall in the Sandstorm, he can effectively counter Skymin and Salamance, and does well against Zapdos, with Ice Punch (and his bulk allows him to take Salamance fire moves). The rest of the moves are up to you. As you already have an SR pokemon (and Wish healer), I'll recommend a Curse set paired with Earthquake, Iron Head, Focus Punch, the moves are yours. If you use Blissey as a Cleric, have Rest somewhere instead of Curse.

Hope this helps.
