[SET COMMENTS]
Heatran is a great addition to Fire teams, serving as a stallbreaker with its access to Magma Storm and Taunt, and with Air Balloon, it answers Mega Diancie, Excadrill, and the Landorus formes while also providing excellent utility in Stealth Rock and Flame Body. Magma Storm is a powerful trapping tool against walls like Toxapex, Hippowdon, and Clodsire. Earth Power targets Fire- and Poison-types like opposing Heatran and Toxapex, which are immune to or resist Magma Storm. Flash Cannon allows Heatran to OHKO Fairy-types like Mega Diancie and Enamorus, which threaten Fire teams. On the other hand, Hidden Power Ice threatens Ground-types like Landorus-T, Gliscor, and Garchomp. With Taunt, Heatran can stop recovery for foes like Toxapex and Clodsire while also denying entry hazards from these foes as well as others like Gliscor. Alternatively, Stealth Rock allows it to support itself and its teammates like Ceruledge and Volcarona by wearing down the opposing team. Air Balloon provides Heatran with a Ground immunity, allowing it to deal with the aforementioned threats safely as long as its Air Balloon is intact. Torkoal and Ninetales serve as sun setters, boosting the power of Heatran's Magma Storm and softening Water-type moves. Torkoal also provides entry hazard removal with Rapid Spin and acts as an alternate Stealth Rock setter. Dragon Dance Mega Charizard X handles Dragon-types like Kyurem and Hydreigon. In return, Heatran can sponge attacks from Choice Scarf Latias. Mega Charizard Y is another sun setter that also provides a Ground immunity in case Heatran's Air Balloon has already been popped and offensively threatens Sand Rush Excadrill and Mega Swampert, which pose an immense threat to Fire teams, by resetting the weather and threatening them back with Fire Blast and Solar Beam, respectively. Z-Celebrate Victini deals with Fighting-types like Great Tusk and Iron Hands. Teammates like Volcarona, Iron Moth, and Blacephalon appreciate Heatran's ability to trap and eliminate foes like Toxapex and Clodsire. Volcarona can threaten Dark-types like Ting-Lu and Hydreigon that pose problems for Heatran. Choice Scarf Iron Moth and Blacephalon serve as revenge killers; Iron Moth deals with Kommo-o, while Blacephalon threatens Mega Gallade and can eliminate the Landorus formes for Heatran if running Hidden Power Ice, allowing Heatran to run a different move. Focus Sash Ceruledge can use its Fighting immunity to switch into Fighting-types like Iron Valiant, and Sneasler, threatening them back with its STAB moves. It also serves as a wallbreaker, removing special walls like Blissey and Swampert and Rock-types like Mega Tyranitar and Iron Boulder. In return, Heatran can deny entry hazards with Taunt to keep Ceruledge's Focus Sash intact, allowing it to reliably take on the aforementioned foes. Volcanion boasts a Water immunity, which allows it switch in against Water-type attacks from Choice Specs Greninja, Azumarill, and Choice Band Barraskewda; it can also eliminate bulky Ground-types like Hippowdon and Ting-Lu with Steam Eruption, which can potentially burn other foes.
