Kanto in Minecraft

Hey all! I've started a minecraft project! I'm making the entire Kanto region in Minecraft, to scale, to HG/SS standards, I'm only halfway through Pallet Town (damn creepers) and I've hit a bit of a bog, I'm not sure what I can do with the inside of Proffessor Oak's lab, for those who don't know off the top of their heads, it looks like this.

The glass cases will (obviously) be made of glass. But I'm not sure how to recreate the Circly thingy, probably just out of glass. But here's the thing, it feels to Plain the way I have it, so has anybody got an idea for how to "spice it up"? anything at all that could be in the lab? Mainly in place of the two computeresque hard drives.

It's occured to me that a Redstone circuit would be neat, but I'm not all that sure as to what the goal of it would be. So, any thoughts from anyone at all?

Also, when I finish Pallet Town, I'll post screenshots.

Just an idea in advance: when you do a Pokemon Center get the theme down and construct a structure that plays the Pokemon Center theme in the background as you approach the counter, complete with the "dum dum dumdumdum dum!" healed party theme playable on cue.

OR use the cycling road theme and line the entire stretch with music blocks, so it plays as you "cruise" along.

why dont you change it to peaceful?

also gl with this

tried it once. worked really hard on getting everything besides the insides of the buildings. got to pewter, decided to work on inside of buildings but i already messed up the scale by having the buildings different on the inside and outside. as a stand-in prof. oak, go forth and make my dreams come true, stand-in ash.

You should make your buildings separately in Mc-edit. Most of the buildings in pokemon look the same. You can make the gyms, houses, pokemon centers and marts and then make the routes in mc-edit. Its not impossible to do i can probraly do it if you gave me a day but once you get the buildings that you need it should be pretty fun.
