SM OU Kartana Hyper Offensive (Grass, Rock, Fire Core)

The idea a of this team is that Kartana has one of the highest attack stats in the OU meta, and after one kill can snowball into a late-game sweep when the faster or extremely bulky threats are gone. The team has no defensive mons but does have stallbreakers and coverage to avoid a stalemate.
Here it is:
kartana.gif

Glowing1000 (Kartana) @ Fightinium Z
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Leaf Blade
- Smart Strike
- Sacred Sword
- Psycho Cut

This poke already deals with most of the OU meta with it's STAB and absurd attack power, as in Leaf Blade beats a lot of mons, such as, LO Mamoswine, Dugtrio, M-Gyrados, Gastrodon, Tapu Fini And Rotom-W; Smart Strike beats Tapu-Lele, Bulu, Specs Nihilego, Weavile and Kyurem. As for the coverage, I'm using Z-Sacred Sword To Kill a Ferrothorn weakened by the rest of my team, regular Sacred Sword to kill bulky T-Tar, Excadrill, Opposing Kartana, Weakened Heatran, And Chaney. At that, it's still walled by Toxapex and loses to Gengar, that's why I used psycho-cut, it could be used aginst scolipede to avoid speed boosts and it kills M-Venusaur. With that coverage there are still things that it can't hit, hazards and fast mons can still OHKO it even on a resisted hit because of it's poor defences.

aerodactyl-mega.gif

Aerodactyl-Mega @ Aerodactylite
Ability: Tough Claws
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake
- Defog
- Fire Fang

This poke may be in UU but it can still have a purpose in OU, with it's insane speed stat outspeeding Tapu Koko, Ash-Gren, Scarf-Zone, Attack Boost Pheramosa and a speed tie with M-Alakazam. It stops Koko, Nihilego, +1 Zard X and Magnezone from steamrolling my team with Stone Edge and EQ, it has defog to remove webs, rocks and spikes from wearing down my team and Tough Claws F-Fang to wear down Celesteela and Ferrothorn. It can remove many threats for Kartana with ease and takes a huge bite out of stallers.

victini.gif

Victini @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Victory Star
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- V-create
- Zen Headbutt
- Bolt Strike
- U-turn

Scarf-Tini competes the core very nicely, with V-Create taking a huge dump on any bulky steel-stypes and straight up beating anything that doesn't resist it, with the choice scarf the speed drop doesn't matter until the second use of this move, Zen-Headbutt is just there as extra obligitory STAB and being able to 2-Hit-KO onto toxapex and removes max-speed Pheramosa, Bolt Strike is able to get rid of pelliper, mantine, Zard-Y, Slowbro, and Ash-Gren. U-Turn is there to read switches while doing damage, it can also weaken something that you don't want to be in on, like Lando and Heatran, it also lets you escape AT Dugtrio.

latios.gif

Latios @ Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Psychic
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Trick

This main purpose of this is to beat stall and soften walls with Trick-Specs, with this annoying tech you can cripple Landorous, Scizor and Ferrothorn and then kill them with hp fire or it's STAB moves. I needed a special attacker and a dragon on the team as grass and fire can't hit other dragons like Garchomp, Zard-X, Zygarde and Z-Mence.

tornadus-therian.gif

Tornadus-Therian @ Life Orb
Ability: Regenerator
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SpA / 64 SpD / 192 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hurricane
- Focus Blast
- Sludge Wave
- U-turn

At the moment the team can lose to a speed boosting pheramosa and serperior with hp-fire, so that's why I have LO Tornadus. It outpeeds serperior with it's speed investment and has 64 SpDef EVs to survive an ice beam from Pheramosa and can kill it back with a hurricane, Focus Blast is coverage to hit Heatran and Sludge Wave hits Tapu Koko and Fini for extreme damage, I also have U-Turn to get regenerator and hit something on the way out.

greninja-ash.gif

Greninja-Ash @ Splash Plate
Ability: Battle Bond
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Water Shuriken
- U-turn
- Dark Pulse

With all this talk about Lando, Tran and Phera, I might as well have this as a counter to them. A splash plate boosted Water Shuriken is guaranteed to Kill Pheramosa at any speed tier because of priority but without splash plate, there is a chance for it to survive and I don't want that to happen, I also have pump over surf for extra damage on a resisted switch and SpDef Heatran, Landorous cant respect a Hydro Pump either. Dark Pulse is used against the lati-twins and is a second obligatory STAB type, U-Turn can be used against opposing pre-ash greninja.

So, what do you think of my team, it can be swept by strong electric mons with good coverage, but thats why i'm running eq.

Just thought I should let u know that ur team is VERY weak to zygarde and zygarde-10%, and so I would run Ice beam on greninja, either over water shuriken or hydro pump. If you do make this play, I strongly recommend running Life Orb or Choice specs/ scarf on greninja also, as then water shuriken still ohkos Phero the majority of the time, (scarf outspeeds non-scarf phero and if they not sash then pretty much everything ohkos, specs gren definitely knocks Phero out, LO has a strong chance)
Also, I would run SD over Psycho cut on Kart, as with an SD boost All Out Pummeling kills a pex anyway.
Hope these help.

Hi there. I quite like the unique core you have going on there however there are some rather large holes that could do with being patched up. To elaborate, this team has no real switch in to prominent special attackers such as Greninja, Tapu Koko, and Tapu Lele. Additionally, you lack a decent means of hazard laying which in many circumstances can prove to be paramount when acquiring a victory. Not only that, but you lack something that can really pack-a-punch versus more defensive teams which will result in an understandably unpleasant time for you. So to patch up these flaws, I have made the following changes:

798MS.png
Swords Dance > Smart Strike

Reason: Since your team currently lacks a valuable win con against bulkier match ups, running Swords Dance will prove to be an effective means of producing a valid game plan which will aid you in the long run when it comes to your performance. This is superior over an all-out attacking set because yes, Kartana has a staggering amount of attack however, it lacks a wide array of attacking moves with sufficient power yields. Therefore, this set actually emphasises the efficiency of Kartana since it can set up and proceed to pressure and potentially sweep defensive or slower teams. The reason for Swords Dance over Smart Strike is because Smart Strike is redundant with Leaf Blade in terms of coverage since the most prominent of Fairy type Pokémon is Tapu Fini which gets obliterated by Leaf Blade anyway. This in comparison with Psycho Cut projects an evident winner in terms of coverage since Psycho Cut allows you to hit things that would otherwise prove to be a nuisance; Psycho Cut can OHKO most Toxapex spreads after rocks and requires only minimal prior damage on Mega Venusaur (25% to put it in range of +2 Psycho Cut).

142MMS.png
Ice Fang > Fire Fang

Reason: Since the most dominant of Physically Defensive Pokémon are 4x weak to Ice, Ice Fang has a suitable place over Fire Fang on Mega Aerodactyl. Ice Fang is capable of hitting the most common Pokémon, Landorus-T, extremely hard boasting the capability to 2HKO defensive Landorus-T. This weakens Landorus-T to the point where a +2 Kartana has the potential to take it out with Leaf Blade and putting Landorus-T in range of two V-Creates from Victini. Losing out on Fire Fang isn't that much of an issue since Pokémon such as Ferrothorn don't really prove to be of annoyance when faced against your team's composition whereas gaining Ice Fang compliments the overall workings of the team.

381.png

Reason: As stated yourself, your team needs a stall breaker that can fire off tremendous hits from the get-go. Latios, although potent, is lacklustre at achieving this since the only way it can actually dent a Chansey is by being specs; in being specs, it loses freedom to switch up moves and dent the team in question. Tapu Fini can do this without needing a Choice Specs since it boasts an impressive Special Attack stat synonymous to that of Latios and the amazing ability in Psychic Surge. This essentially gives Tapu Lele a Choice Specs whilst also possessing the ability to freely switch up moves such as Thunderbolt or Hidden Power Fire. The recommended item of choice would be a Shed Shell since it prevents the opponent from trapping your Tapu Lele however, if you aren't scared of Dugtrio trapping you, you can run either a Choice Scarf, Twisted Spoon, or Choice Specs. You typically use both Psychic and Psyshock - Psychic decimates most switch-ins such as Heatran whereas Psyshock does 44%-52% to most Chansey spreads thus making it capable of ploughing through Stall teams. Moonblast helps out with your weakness to Dragons such as Zygarde while Thunderbolt can hit things like Spdef Skarmory and Celesteela. However, you can opt for Hidden Power Fire if you find it to be preferable.

Reason: Ferrothorn provides a much needed check to Tapu Koko, Greninja and Tapu Lele whilst providing access to Stealth Rocks. Ferrothorn definitely works as good glue to patch your team's weaknesses up and proves to be a great asset, being able to throw out Leech Seeds. Tornadus-T on the other hand did provide decent U-Turn support into Greninja however, this role is held redundant by Victini since they both lure in the same things and U-Turn out into Greninja except Victini is a decent check to Mega Scizor and Mega Metagross. As you have stated, Pheromosa is an issue so to combat that, you could potentially run a Chople Berry to lure in things like Mega Metagross and Pheromosa and dealing with them appropriately; alternative items include Shed Shell and Leftovers.

splashplate.png
on Greninja

Reason: The reason for running Choice Specs over Splash Plate on Greninja is because it allows Greninja to hit so much harder prior to its Ash Forme thus making it a lot easier for Greninja to get into said forme. Whilst in Ash Forme, it is able to revenge kill Pokémon with Water Shuriken much more easier.

Nice team! My only suggestion would be to make it scarf lati, instead of specs. My reasoning is that tricking a choice scarf is far more guaranteed than specs, and scarf chomp is everywhere now, which your team is quite weak to.
