Overview
########
  • Protean gives it stab on everything, making it a lot stronger
  • Wide movepool, eg knock off and drain punch
  • Access to priority makes up for its low speed, also allowing it to revenge kill
  • Good Special Defense Defense
  • Poor physical Defense and Speed
  • Access to good support movepool, like stealth rocks and recovery, but it is done better by lickilicky
  • Although protean increases its overall power, it still has weak BP moves and an average attack stat
  • Fun fact: Got me stuck before Winonas Gym for a month in Ruby

Kekleon
########
name: Kekleon
move 1: Knock Off
move 2: Drain Punch
move 3: Sucker Punch
move 4: Fake Out / Shadow Sneak
ability: Protean
item: Life Orb
evs: 140 HP / 252 Atk / 116 Spe
nature: Adamant

Moves
========
  • Knock Off is its strongest and most spammable move, crippling any thing it hits
  • Drain Punch provides some recovery, has good neutral coverage, and hits bulky Pokemon such as Golem and Avalugg for super effective damage
  • Sucker Punch is its strongest priority, making up for its poor speed
  • Fake Out has priority and provides chip damage without Kecleon being hit
  • Shadow Sneak is more reliable priority and messes with Fighting-types, but is much weaker than Sucker Punch

Set Details
========
  • Max attack and adamant nature are to maximise its strength and damage output
  • Life Orb increases this even more
  • 116 Speed allow it to outspeed Gourgeist-S as well as base 50's such as Lickilicky and Metang
  • Rest is dumped in HP for better mixed bulk

Usage Tips
========
  • Despite its good Special Defense, Kecleon dislikes switching in to strong attacks as it gets warn down quickly. It can be switched into some weaker attacks such as Roselia's and Tangela's Giga Drain, or after a death/slow pivot
  • Kecleon should spam Knock Off, to cripple the opponent, unless Drain Punch or priority is more suitable

Team Options

Other Options
########
  • Wide movepool
  • Thunder Punch for Pelipper and Poliwrath
  • Iron Tail hits fairies like Togetic and Carbink
  • Aqua Tail hits Rock-types harder
  • Fire Blast hits Avalugg harder
  • Power Up Punch for boosts
  • Return is its strongest attack (legal with Protean)
  • Recovery provides more, reliable recovery
  • Good support move pool, such as Stealth rock, thunder wave and foul play, so a specially defensive spread can be used
  • Trick + choice band
  • Trick Room

Checks & Counters
########
**Fairy-types**: Fairy-types, such as Togetic and Clefairy, resist Kecleons strongest moves and can status is or use it as set up fodder, but dislike losing their Eviolite. Calm Mind Carbink also sets up on Kecleon, as it avoids the 3HKO and can then recovery lost health with rest, and unlike other Fairy-types, does not fear Knock Off.

**Strong Attackers**: Strong Pokemon, such as Scyther and Tauros, can deal heavy damage to Kecleon with their STABs, but dislike taking a Sucker Punch. Mightyena and Sneasel are particularly good revenge killers as they resists both Shadow Sneak and Sucker Punch, and the former gets an Attack boost from Moxie.

**Fighting-types**: Poliwrath takes little damage from Kecleon's attacks, can burn it with Scald or phaze it out with Circle Throw. Throh can set up Bulk Ups on Kecleon and can deal heavy damage with Storm Throw, or hit Kecleon with Knock Off if predicting a Shadow Sneak.

**Burn**: Will-o-Wisp from Pokemon such as Gourgeist and Scald burns from Pokemon such as Pelipper heavily cripple Kecleon, preventing it from doing much damage. However, most Will-o-Wisp users dislike taking a Knock Off, and Pelipper has to keep roosting so it doesnt get warn down too much.

small nitpick, but I think Burn can just be renamed to status, as poison will eventually wear it down and paralysis sux for it.

1. im not going to work on this for a while
2. There arent any relevant toxic users that wont try and scald burn. Paralysis isnt too common and it can dodge it a lot (kecleon vs togetic isnt happening often and it dismantles lickilicky), also it uses priority most of the time

Anty this seems just about done, all that is left looks like team options. Please finish this up as its been in WIP for quite a while now.

| 59 | Kecleon | 3.10699% | 8311 | 3.107% | 6977 | 3.227% | from regular usage and in the 1630 usage its 53 | Kecleon | 4.11583% | 8311 | 3.107% | 6977 | 3.227% |, that was for last months usage anyways so I see no reason as to why you shouldn't just do 3 lines to finish this up.

Combined stats: | 45 | Kecleon | 4.497% |

I see no reason to do the 3 lines, as it will also waste qc's time/more of my time implementing and maybe gp's time if its gets that far that quickly. I will happily finish it if it doesnt go up in feb, there is no real rush

e: will shit; still not doing this as it is broken lol
