Sinistcha @ Covert Cloak
Ability: Heatproof
Level: 50
Tera Type: Dark
EVs: 244 HP / 244 Def / 4 SpA / 12 SpD / 4 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Shadow Ball
- Matcha Gotcha
- Iron Defense
- Strength Sap

My favorite mon, I found the masterpiece teacup, hopefully can evo a shiny, but nvm about that. SpD has been rendered temporarily obsolete w/o flutter, but it is minor investment, and probably costs nothing. HP is kept odd as ever, and I took 8 from def for 2 total stat points, mostly this is just max/max. Cloak is a great item, even w/ pao gone(that was the target.) Sinistcha tends to go after garg w/ it, and blocks other nastiness like freezes and flinches. Heatproof is pretty cool, though it is more geared towards fighting koraidon imo. But still, there's some stuff that attacks this w/ fire, only to be very disappointed if it's physical fire like cinderace. Dark Tera is for ghost's weaknesses + psyspam, also blocks prankster status. I used to use Scald over the sig moove, and expect to later. For now though, there's less I really feel I need to burn, and so the 30% isn't worth the power drop. 20% is still something, though I'll use scald for pao and Zacian later. Iron Def has routinely been good, this isn't meant for fighting specials imo, so while NP might be ok(idk frankly,) w/o that cm is the next best thing, and I rather play to the strengths. It can completely mess up sd mons, who would otherwise totally bypass sap. Though these can crit, this mon has been a huge help, probably being the most likely to ever 3-0 a team.

:Overqwil:
Overqwil @ Loaded Dice
Ability: Intimidate
Level: 50
Tera Type: Dragon
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Barb Barrage
- Crunch
- Toxic
- Scale Shot

Uh I know I wanted a grounded poison. And something that, despite that weakness to eq, would still sorta hurt hippo leads. This also helps physically w/ the ability, and isn't weak to much. I can't find a great rationale for it, but it seems like it CAN work at least. I wanted to try Scale Shot, I think that move has cool distribution, it's not just possible on dragons. Although this IS dragon tera to hurt Pult(finally outspeed -1 Pults!,) and Dnite(only ohkos bulky w/ 5 hits though...might need Espeed on Arcanine h.) EVs are simple because, on top of beating -1 pult's spe, I wanted to outspeed non scarf ghold. Toxic is on such an offensive set for stuff like the aforementioned Hippo, also p2. It works well w/ Barb Barrage(that move poisons a lot, but doesn't bypass evasion checks, and also is boring reg poison only.) In the past used Pin Missile Qwilfish h. Thinking maybe pin missile, for the dice, but obviously eviolite is taken here. This is quite good into Meowscarada, a former nemesis. I got tricked by that and later switched back in on a knock off lol(this is actually fine scarfed though, if it gets tricked.) I don't mind this mon, plus I had it(though rip pomeg berries for resetting set lol.)

:Florges:
Florges @ Leftovers
Ability: Flower Veil
Level: 50
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Moonblast
- Psychic Noise
- Calm Mind
- Synthesis

I really like Florges. One of her big selling points over Ghold, who is immune to gimmicks w/o teraing, is the Hippo match up. If I don't switch in on Yawn, then I can take it, plus grass resists eq. Same deal on Glis, actually that's the bigger point. Sure ghold can tera too and...well I'm not sure if I should just do that tbf. It isn't as fun, and I always sell my coins for its evolution, but maybe. Anyways this actually performs quite well, it took 60 from Ursa BM...BM move, at +1. That was actually surprising, as my old AV Frosmoth, an essential +3, took about 50 damage. EVs aim to do damage, while the nature boosts the best stat. Psychic noise is picked over giga drain for Cldsire, and things like P2 and even some Luna BM. Synthesis still seems mandatory, or close, though I do kinda want Giga Drain there. It's hard to decide, as grass doesn't add good coverage, considering the issue to fire and steel. Overall I'm just really glad they are letting Florges use the ability now. ONly upside of this tera meta lol. I tried her in X/Y, when I started, and wasn't impressed.

:Charjabug:
Charjabug @ Eviolite
Ability: Battery
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 244 HP / 252 Def / 12 SpD
Impish Nature
- Lunge
- Sticky Web
- Baton Pass
- Iron Defense

I wanted to try this cause the stats w/ the item seem ok. In fact, the def is quite good. Shame it's a doubles ability only, but this DOES still seem better than Swadloon, who I also looked at for webs. I'm not sure webs are all that great tbh, but I do like Iron Def pass, and Lunge is a pretty good mono-attacking option, since there's ofc no room for another attack. It gets Meow esp., and iirc 2hkos non bulky Hydreigon. I wonder if I need more Atk to ohko Espeon, who hits like a truck. Steel tera is rarely used, but it can be major vs. rock moves, to get the rock resist, and all its miscellaneous resists, like ice for Triple Axel. This mon can be weak to Knock Off, but less than p2 or something, as it will either hit the, likely, dark mon w/ an SE atk dropping lunge after, or even more than make up for the loss of eviolite on one side w/ iron def. Main issues are no recovery and lack of spe. But I like this mon, plus I feel like I should use it when I have so many shiny ones:|

:Arcanine-Hisui:
Arcanine-Hisui @ Choice Band
Ability: Rock Head
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Stellar
EVs: 68 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def / 4 SpD / 180 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Flare Blitz
- Close Combat
- Psychic Fangs
- Head Smash

This hits absurdly hard, it nearly ohkod tera grass Dirge...w/ head smash:| Great moves, and good use of Webs support, while being faster than the predecessor, Gallade. Spe is for up to 252 Adamant DNite, I didn't bother for jolly. Usual moves for rock head, really wanted that for Head Smash(not sure why, I bet I could dig up the reason, but anyways Dirge had intermittently been bad, as well as the dreaded flying tera arch.) CC for rfegular arch, luna, tera DNite, etc., and Psychic Fangs can be cool mostly to break veil(I did not like Ninetails-a or Annihilape at all before, still might not like Ape w/o max spe to tie, but oh well.) Oh, and while I'd mostly given it up for useless, I put stellar tera on this. I'm, uh, re-thinking that atm, cause ofc choice lol, but it is helpful to buff every move, in theory, and once is often enough. Although it won't ohko DNite like tera rock, it helps ohko other things.

:Skarmory:
Skarmory @ Lum Berry
Ability: Sturdy
Level: 50
Tera Type: Ground
EVs: 244 HP / 4 Atk / 60 Def / 196 SpD / 4 Spe
Impish Nature
- Drill Run
- Body Press
- Brave Bird
- Roost

I was trying to make an AV orthworm set, until I realized Skamory has much the same stats. It's also immune to ground, w/o even mold breaker going past. Recovery mean no av, but obviously it's still a huge plus to get that. The goal of either of these mons, and the old AV goodra regular, is to get Luna BM(specifically to switch in...harder for this, but if it gets free switch into EP or after ko, it works,) and ghold(best to be able to take trick, hence why this isn't helmet.) Drill Run was chosen, w/ ground tera, to go after Ghold. This is very relevant if I switch into TrickScarf, and Lum is harmless for them to have(helmet chip, even once, gives them the otherwise unlikely 2hko.) EVs give the usual odd hp, enough SpD to take 2 of ghold's shadow balls usually, and the rest in def w/ a point in atk and spe vs 1 in def. I had SR, but routinely would notice issues w/ fighting types, so put brave bird(considering drill peck.) Specifically would get caught by weird stuff like Hawlucha and Infernape, although it ofc also gets Annihilape. Body Press is good damage even w/o iron def, and I can pass that sometimes. This has been ok, Lum even helps w/ yawn cycles in theory, got me past a Luna BM w/ it better.

It would be nice if I never made mistakes, or got useless d/c from the crap switch not connecting well to good net. So that I could see real potential. As is, creeping towards the right direction. Nothing seems horrible rn, although I do feel weird w/ no AV mon(fave item.)

BUMP(I know i looks wonky, but I actually went 1:1 just now, which is good for my ratio actually cause it's in the negative from before still. Set optimizations really appreciated esp., as no mon of mine is costing me in particular.) Bit weak to weather...or at least rain hm.
