Hey and welcome to my first RMT here. I love this team and while it does have its glaring weaknesses I find it works very well against most teams. It's sort of based around Keldeo and Tyranitar, pairing well together and covering each others back. I've been using the team for a while now and I am unsure how to change and perhaps I am too worried about breaking the foundation of the team up to do so- so perhaps a kick up the butt is needed? I despise Breloom and Heatran so some advice with these two would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Terrakion @ Choice Band
Jolly Nature
252 Atk 252 Spe 4 SpD
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge
- X-Scissor
- Earthquake

Standard Terrakion is standard, I opted for a Choice Band because Keldeo is already scarfed. This thing is absolutely hilarious, sometimes it feels like I just click Close Combat and say screw it. It tear through anything even if they resist it. I used to run Adamant but I kept losing to Banded Chomp, but the damage is still quite apparent and after a teams Terrakion check is gone he goes on a rampage. Oh and almost forgot to say I have Earthquake for Toxicroak, there's not much choice for the final slot and that Poke usually gives me trouble if its carrying Ice Punch, so meh.

Keldeo @ Choice Scarf
Timid Nature
252 SpA 252 Spe 4 SpD
- Hydro Pump
- Secret Sword
- Hidden Power (Ice)
- Surf

Revenge killer. That's his job and he does it extremely well, after checks are gone he just sweeps through teams. With some careful predictions you can often net an early kill but I prefer to reserve him 'til the checks are eliminated by his girlfriend Tyranitar, where he can come in and effectively smash the opposing team. I'm debating whether to replace HP Ice for Icy wind and then swap to HP ghost? But I'm not so sure.

Landorus-T @ Leftovers
Adamant Nature
200 HP 62 Atk 244 Def
- Stealth Rocks
- Earthquake
- U-Turn
- Stone Edge

One of the many Gen 5 Pokemon I just grew to love. I adore this thing and when they release the therian version of him I retired Gliscor in favour of him. Carries my stealth rocks and can often times set them up for free for fear of taking a powerful Earthquake. This is why I love this thing, even when running an offensive nature he can still truck out a huge amount damage. He checks Terrakion to a certain extent and usually forces him to switch unless the player has a Rambo complex. Pairs fairly well with ferrothorn I suppose, at least for water and somewhat ice attacks.

[pimg]628[/pimg]
Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Relaxed Nature
252 HP 68 Def 188 SpD
- Spikes
- Leech Seed
- Power Whip
- Thunderwave

Hazzard setter, as soon as the opportunity presents itself I switch this in and start spamming hazards and hopefully to catch something in with a thunderwave. Check to most waters as well. Not much to say about this thing, fairly standard here.

[pimg]381[/pimg]
Latios @ Life Orb
Timid Nature
252 SpA 252 Spe 4 SpD
- Draco Meteor
- Psychic
- Hidden Power (Fire)
- Thunderbolt

Yes that's thunderbolt, just trying it out- surprise factor and all. Has helped me out in some situations, but not many, though I found surf never really helped much either. Perhaps recover? HP fire for ferro and Scizor obviously. I'm surprised how many stay in on it, is HP fire on this thing rare lately? Either way it works great, the minus 1 speed is annoying though, but I usually switch on speed ties anyways. Draco just for big damage and Psychic for coverage and stab.

[pimg]248[/pimg]
Tyranitar @ Choice Band
Adamant Nature
156 HP 252 Atk 100 Spe
- Pursuit
- Stone Edge
- Super Power
- Crunch

Fairly standard Tyranitar, carrying the choice band to, making it a huge threat. It pairs great with Keldeo and eliminates most of his checks. Traps in otherwise faster Pokemon and destroys them with a pursuit- often times even when they refuse to switch, fearing the impending pursuit trap they still die or at the very least take a massive amount of damage. I carry the superpower for Heatran and the like and Edge for the obligatory stab.

Hey there! This is quite a standard BW2 OU Sand team, so not many changes are in question. I have a few small changes I would recommend testing to see how it runs. First of all, regarding your Latios, HP Fire has become a relic of BW OU, that is how rare it is. I find it very useful due to Ferrothorn and Scizor most often used to deal with Latios. In the final moveslot, I propose running Recover > Thunderbolt. LO + Sand damage racks up quickly, and Recover gives you much more staying power, allowing you to deal with defensive Pokémon and check Keldeo, for one.

For your Keldeo, I would just go ahead and keep the moveset the way it is. This is because Scarf Keldeo needs the reliability of Surf, and Icy Wind is weak if not boosted by Specs or Expert Belt. The current moveset misses out on Jellicent, but that is what teammates are for.

For Terrakion, I know CB Kion is absolutely insane powerful, especially with those two STABs, but I would test out SubSalac Terrakion here. Your team already runs a Banded Pokémon and a Scarf, so three Choiced mons can cause some problems regarding momentum. SubSalac Terrakion, on the other hand, is a very powerful sweeper. It abuses Terrakion's extraordinary STABs and sets up SD with Sub, even boosting Speed with Salac. It can function as another win condition apart from Scarf Keldeo, and can deal monstrous damage to stall teams as well. The set is simple:

Terrakion @Salac Berry
Trait: Justified
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Nature: Jolly
-Substitute
-Swords Dance
-Close Combat
-Stone Edge

Overall, this is a standard team that works excellently. I hope I helped, and good luck!

Tl;dr
Recover > Thunderbolt on Latios
SubSalac Terrakion > CB Terrakion

I don't want to mess with your team by changing it too much, but have you considered a spinner? Just because you have both Rocks and Spikes on your team, and most spinners are pretty defensive, and the physical ones like Forettress and Donphan can take a non-boosted hit from anyone of your team members, I would recommend Jellicient, if you can fit it somewhere on your team. If you do, I would go with the specially defensive set:

Jellicient @ Leftovers. 252 HP / 36 Def / 220 SpD (Special Defense). Scald / Will-O-Wisp/Toxic, Shadow Ball, Recover. The defense EVS are to prevent the 2HKO from Starmie's Psyshock, and the rest of the EVS and moves are pretty self-explanatory.

I suppose my last passing suggestion would be Landorus-I over Landorus-T, just because of Sand Force. Why not just take advantage of Landorus-I's ability? This is purely optional of course, because I actually rather like the idea of using Landorus-T on a Sand Team, as he's not damaged either way, and you become less dependent on weather. So again, your call.

Much Ludvisc, and great team!

Just swapped out tbolt for recover. Noticed I made some errors in my post as well, will be fixing shortly. I meant I switch out of sped ties, not in.

But yeah I did used to have both forret and jelly and ended up swapping them out for ferro and latios respectively. I do miss the spinning but I feel the team has evolved to become more aggressive to want to swap back.

Thanks for the input guys, keep it coming!

Hey!~

It's quite difficult to rate good, standard teams since they are always pretty solid and well-suited for the metagame, but there are just a couple things I'd like to mention regarding your set choices. First of all, I definitely agree with your choice of LO Latios over the seemingly more popular Latias simply because it grants you that quick and powerful special-side damage that your team desires. However, with the combination of weak attacks that you'd want to switch Latios into, sand, and LO recoil, it'll get worn down quickly and you'll lose your only Breloom check. Although Landorus-T may be able to get 1 hit off, it'll be resisted and won't be enough to take it out. The rest of your team besides Latios absolutely despises +2 Mach Punches. This reason alone is enough to merit the change from Thunderbolt to Recover. Increasing longevity will allow you to consistently switch into those weak attacks (such as Celebi's Giga Drain) without much fear of dying too quickly. Also, Psyshock over Psychic should be considered to hit Terrakion in sand, Calm Minders such as Keldeo, and specially defensive Amoonguss (which I believe is more prevelant due to its better defense against rain).

Next, I feel like Ferrothorn is out of place on this team. Using Spikes without a spinblocker is generally not a good idea because it may eventually waste turns you could be using to throw out powerful hits and apply pressure. You mentioned that it's mainly for waters and catching things with Thunder Wave, which Celebi can do as well--but it plays far more roles for your team. For one, Celebi actually resists fighting unlike Ferrothorn's weakness, which is great for a consistent switch into several threats of today's metagame (Breloom, Keldeo, etc.). With Celebi in your line-up, you'll be able to play more aggressively with Latios because you won't strive for Recovers to prevent Breloom from sweeping your whole team (at +2 with prior damage on Keldeo). Leaving Ferrothorn out is simply asking Breloom to come in and start setting up, so it would be best to replace it. Anyway, Celebi also has the added benefit of Natural Cure to act as a status absorber for your team. I'd personally be a bit skeptical about switching Latios into Politoed or Tentacruel because of possible Toxics or Scald burns, which can wear it down way too quickly w/ sand and LO recoil. With Celebi, this is no longer a problem and your team has an easy way to sponge any sort of water attack (Ferrothorn hated burns too). Here's the set I recommend:
251.png
@ Leftovers
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 240 SDef / 16 Spd
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Recover
- Thunder Wave
- Psychic
- Giga Drain
The EVs allow you to outspeed adamant Breloom while retaining the most bulk possible. Since you like Thunder Wave on Ferrothorn, I opted to include it here, but if you don't like it, try out something like Perish Song. Dual STAB helps against rain teams and the fighting types that give this team a hard time.

That's all I have! Great team~ Good luck!

Thanks a ton for the input mate, and yes I absolutely hate teams with loom right now, so I'll give Celebi a go. Been wanting to try him out for sometime.

Hi dude,
standard sand team you have, so the word "rate" is useless in this case because now we change little things so details and imperfections; for example, changes in sets for some pokémon like Tyranitar and Terrakion.
The first because you have a only weakness in Celebi solved by changing from CBTyra to ScarfTyra so BatonPassBi sucks with this change and, also, you leave the field open to the star of the team, Keldeo; ScarfTyra also plays the role of trapkiller better and this is very useful for your team.
For Terrakion instead, I agree with Dcae with the change from Choice Band set to Salac Berry so you have a great late-game sweeper which is missing in your team and therefore very useful.
Another thing, as they have already said, is the change of Thunderbolt. The latter for Latios is not very useful for the simple fact that the watertype are beated good by Psyshock or Draco Meteor and with Thunderbolt, losing the recovery-move very useful for Latios 'cause LO + Sandstorm is a suicide, so Recover>Thunderbolt on Latios.
Last change is Ferrothorn, it makes losing momentum to the team because of its slowness and also place the Spikes without an antispinner is bad and in some cases it's just a waste of time and slot, above all; so what I suggest, as the last change, it is Rotom-W on Ferrothorn.
With the washing machine you can manage much better RainTeam and Mamoswine that creates some problems for your team; Rotom-W also has Volt Switch which paired with U-Turn of Landorus-T does many damage to the opponent and most importantly it increases the momentum .
Ah, while for Landorus-T i suggest you a change to evs spread that you can find in "tl;dr".

Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Calm Nature - Levitate

232 HP / 56 SpA / 220 Spe
Hydro Pump - Volt Switch - Thunder Wave - Hidden Power Ice

Landorus-Therian @ Leftovers
Jolly Nature - Intimidate
252 HP / 244 Def / 12 Spd
Earthquake - U-Turn - Hidden Power [Ice] - Stealth Rock
With this EVs you exceed Tentacruel, RotomW and Breloom.
Hidden Power Ice>Stone Edge to beat Lando-T opponent or Garchomp and obviously Dragonite, Salamence etc.

Hope I helped you, good look.

what kind of ev spread should I run with scarf tar? also does jolly lando ko anything with hp ice? thanks for the input.

The Celebi suggested earlier went really well, breloom is no longer such a threat.

Is there room for both rotom w and the onion?

Mmmmm ..... I recommend life orbed latias with an EV spread of 72 ev's in HP 240 EV's in speed with a timid nature and the rest is dumped into SPA with the HP EV's you can survive lot's of hits like +2 sludge bomb from venusaur ... though the main reason I'm sadly recommending you latias over latios is because offensive rain teams can still wreck your team because keldeo can't take powerfull water moves and latios either while latias is bulky and powerful enough to take the hits and recover it's health back or hit hard with either Draco Meteor , H.P. Fire or Psyshock now the reason why those Speed EV's are chosen is simple with 240 Speed EV's and a Timid nature you will still be able to outspeed Base 108 pokemon mainly fighting pokemon like Keldeo , Terrakion , Infernape and others (as long as they're not scarfed) and KO them
