Hi! This is my first post here on Smogon, so bear with me, as it's not going to be very fancy. This team has been tested for ~5 hours, and I have tweaked it to cover more threats and help my team work with synergy. I have a particular strategy that works most of the time, and I would like to see what I could possibly improve about my newest OU team. Here goes!
Galvantula @ Focus Sash
CompoundEyes
252 Spe/252 SpA/4 SpD
-Sticky Web
-Thunder
-Bug Buzz
-Volt Switch
Galvantula is essentially a suicide lead, although it doesn't have to be one. With Thunder, Bug Buzz, Volt Switch, and Galvantula's surprisingly good SpA, it can KO threats such as Prankster Sableye and Aerodactyl with ease. Galvantula is mostly here for sticky web support, and it is rather frail, so it holds a focus sash to almost guarantee a free turn for setting up.
Donphan @ Leftovers
Sturdy
252 Atk/252 Def/4 Spe
-Rapid Spin
-Earthquake
-Stealth Rock
-Ice Shard
Donphan is extremely versatile, as it can be a setup Pokémon, a physical sweeper, a spinner, and a revenge killer all at the same time. It usually sets up stealth rock, removes hazards when necessary, and revenge kills with priority Ice Shard, and this coupled with its absolutely monstrous Atk and Def stats makes it very dangerous. Sturdy is great because its SpD is fairly low, and it can most of the time get at least one good hit off. This Pokémon's set speaks for itself.
Ferrothorn @ Rocky Helmet
Iron Barbs
252 SpD/252 Atk/4 Def
-Spikes
-Leech Seed
-Power Whip
-Thunder Wave
Ferrothorn is the very embodiment of annoying. With access to both T-Wave and Leech Seed, it is able to force a switch with relative ease. After crippling its opponents, Ferrothorn can either set spikes as an extra annoyance or power through opponents with its fantastic Atk stat and Power Whip. Unfortunately, its 4x weakness to fire-type attacks and sub-par average SpD leaves it vulnerable to Hidden Power Fire and switched in on with Charizard very often.
Azumarill @ Assault Vest
Huge Power
252 Atk/252 Def/4 Spe
-Aqua Jet
-Play Rough
-Waterfall
-Superpower
Azumarill has so much potential. Its attack is sky-high with Huge Power and its access to Aqua Jet makes it an excellent revenge killer. Play Rough provides STAB Dragon and Fighting coverage, and Superpower rips through Steel and Ice types. The Assault Vest provides much-needed extra bulk. Azumarill can be a great sweeper if the conditions are right.
Kingdra @ Scope Lens
Sniper
252 SpA/252 SpD/4 Def
-Focus Energy
-Draco Meteor
-Hydro Pump
-Hidden Power Fire
Oh, boy. With Sniper, Scope Lens, and Focus Energy, Kingdra is a critical hit machine. Ignoring SpA drops from Draco Meteor and hitting Steel types that would normally wall it, such as Ferrothorn, with a critical Hidden Power Fire is incredible. If the opponent switches out and lets it set up a Focus Energy, Kingdra can destroy almost anything. This set is accompanied by Galvantula's Sticky Web.
Pinsir @ Pinsirite
Moxie/Aerilate
252 Atk/252 Spe/4 SpD
-Swords Dance
-Return
-Earthquake
-Quick Attack
Pinsir is an absolute monster. It can smack its opponents with a surprise Earthquake and outspeed unsuspecting enemies with an Aerilate-boosted STAB Quick Attack. After just one Swords Dance boost, Pinsir can OHKO just about anything with Return or even Quick Attack. However, its 4x weakness to Stealth Rock is a major downfall, which is why it is best used with Rapid Spin support.
Well, that's it! Please tell me if you see anything I can improve about these sets. Thanks!
