I'm rather new to the scene and I'm looking for advice about a team I came up with after a while, I've been playing pokemon for some time now (since red version) but have never hit the meta-scene, I'm participating in a up-coming tournament near where I live and wanted some advice on my team, I've spent entire mornings practicing on Pokemon Online with it and other simulators and it works well, but i really wanted some expert advice on it!! Without further adue here it goes!!!
First up:
AGGRON:KNIGHT
Adamant
Sturdy/Filter
Aggronite
252 HP
252 Attack
4 Speed (didn't know what to do with them)
Earthquake
Iron Head
Stealth Rock
Brick break
Aggron's main goal is to set up a stealth rock enviroment around my opponent, with it's mega-evolution it loses the rock type (which i considered it's greatest weakness) and gains the Filter Ability (25% off super effective) I can usually earthquake a couple of pokemon before he goes down, and with iron head I can get rid of some peskie fairies, not sure what else to do with him really.
TYRANTRUM:GUARDIAN
Adamant
Strong Jaw
Sitrus Berry (out of ideas really, maybe a quick claw???)
252 HP
252 Attack
4 Speed
Crunch
Fire Fang
Ice Fang
Thunder Fang
Coverage, that's all he is, with a strong attack stat and the strong jaw ability which makes these relatively "weak" biting attacks rather strong I can take down most guys, although his speed means that he only ever gets a couple of hits in cause then he gets punched in the face with a strong earthquake or some fighting attack not to mention ice ouch been wondering what I could do better around him!!
GARDEVOIR:QUEEN
Modest
Telepathy
Wise Glasses
252 SpAttack
252 Speed
4 Hp
Calm Mind
Wish
Psychic
Moonblast
Quite simple really, if I think I can afford it I go wish, calm mind and then bring on the pain with a relatively fast Gardevoir with massive sp attack, dragons fall easily before it and I think this ones pretty good for the team
AEGISLASH:SHIELD OF KINGS
Adamant (really wasn't sure about this one)
Stance Change
Leftovers
252 Attack
252 Defense
4 HP
King's Shield
Toxic
Pursuit (Hasn't been overly useful so far)
Sacred Sword (Once again not so useful)
Aegislash has proven to be a good shield but not so good a blade, I usually trick the enemy into attacking and use King's shield which lowers his attack and then toxic him, after that it's a sort of hit and run type game I pray for my shield to work and sometimes use sacred sword but otherwise, i think there's a possibility behind him but I know I haven't hit his true potential yet, some good help would be welcome as I said I'm a beginner and can do only so much
BLAZIKEN:JESTER
Adamant
Speed Boost
Shell Bell
252 Attack
252 Speed
4 HP
Sky Uppercut
Blaze Kick
Stone Edge
Shadow Claw (Hasn't been amazingly useful, thinking about protect)
Comes in hits fast, then on the next turn hits faster, good coverage and the stone edge has surprised and caused the downfall of more than one. Like i said, shadow claw hasn't been oh so useful, I've seen some people use Protect to wait that first turn for the speed boost and then start sweeping with his high attack stat and immense speed. Along with Gardevoir this guy seems to belong on the team.
NOIVERN:HIGH DRAGON
Modest
Infiltrator
Dragon Fang (not so sure)
252 SpAttack
252 Speed
4 HP
Dragon Pulse
Dark Pulse
Air Slash
Whirlwind (used a few times wondering if there is anything better)
This guy has killed off nearly entire teams by himself, apparently not many pokemon have a high SPDef because when this guy comes into play few have been able to withstand him, I've had immense success thanks to this guy and I'm sure the first answer will be something along the lines of this guy actually sucks but like I said, I'm a beginner, what do I know. This guy with Gardevoir and Braziken have defeated entire teams on their own, but if the advice says they go, I'm here to learn.
I hope you all don't judge me too harshly because I'll say it again; this is my first competitive pokemon team, I worked on it and it holds up but I want your opinions.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH
