Hey everyone The Tyranitar/Tyranical here again with another team, this time with more volt turn, and the same amount of JoJo references. I've been using this team for a good few days now, after managing to fall pretty far from grace (1850's all the way down to 1550's) using a lot of gimmicky teams that I had been trying out, I decided enough was enough, whcih lead me to this team. Mega Gallade was always a pokemon I thought could have potential, but rarely found use for it in practice. However, with a dedicated volt turn team, Gallade can become a monster as I found out. With this team in hand I propelled myself from 1550 all the way to 1914 in a few days. The team rarely loses, and has great matchup versus offense, bulkier builds, and even stall (depends on the stall team though). With 4 members of the team running U-turn or Volt switch, there are a lot of opportunities for Mega Gallade to come in safely and hit something hard. The idea of the team is to do just that, and then clean with SD Timid Kartana. The results can be devastating, and while I will continue to grind with this team I figured the 1900's was a good stopping point to share the team with the rest of you!

THE FOOL (Landorus-Therian) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Explosion
- Stealth Rock

Not much needs to be said about scarf Lando-T. It's probably one of the best pokemon to run in the tier right now, as it just does so much. On this team, it's great to lead off with, check pokemon like Heatran, Magearna, Tapu-Koko etc. and of course, bring in other members with U-turn. Nothing else on the team can run Stealth Rock, and even though I don't love locking into SR with Choice Scarf, there are a lot of opportunities for Lando to safely rock up, against mons like Heatran. Overall, Lando is amazing, it's the glue of the team, and often can clean teams once Gallade breaks down opposing Landos and other checks.

STICKY FINGERS (Gallade-Mega) @ Galladite
Ability: Justified
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Close Combat
- Zen Headbutt
- Knock Off

Gallade is honestly an incredible pokemon on this team, and it puts in an unbelievable amount of work. It's honestly amusing how little teams actually prepare for a threat like Gallade, and with volt turn you can really see how devastating Gallade is if it's brought in safely. Often, my opponent's only answer or switch in is Landorus-T, which is exactly what I want to come in. Gallade can continue to chip away at Lando with Close Combat, Zen headbutt, and Knock Off. Knock Off is incredible too, and one of the main reasons to run this over Medicham. Stripping a Lando of Scarf or Helmet, Tornadus-T of it's helmt, and leftovers/eviolite on more defensive builds is huge. Gallade is incredibly strong, and combined with it's speed tier it often forces in a defensive pokemon unlike something like Medicham which is more prone to being outsped and forced out. Try to limit bringing in Gallade in without u-turn or volt switch, as it will take unnecessary chip otherwise, and it's good to keep it healthy as it's decently bulky. Overall play Gallade aggressively with U-turn/volt switch and you will be surprised how quickly your opponent's walls come down, leading to an inevitable Kartana sweep.

rotom-wash.gif

GEB (Rotom-Wash) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 208 HP / 252 SpA / 48 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Pump
- Volt Switch
- Will-O-Wisp
- Trick
Specs Rotom is not something you see that often, but it is absolutely incredible on this team. With bulky ev's and a modest nature, not only can you bluff the Iapapa berry, you can also tank hits allowing Rotom to act as a decent pivot. It also hits incredibly hard, for example it can OHKO Mega Charizard X (unless it's a bulky variant) and gets surprise hits on pokemon like opposing Rotom, Clefable, that don't expect rotom to have this much power. It's the strongest Volt/turn user on the team, and almost nothing enjoys eating a Specs volt switch. I almost had tapu koko here instead, but Rotom is an invaluable fire and water resist for the team, and has incredible offensive presence. Rotom also lures in Ferrothorn, which is fantastic for Gallade or Kartana to come into on a precicted volt switch. Overall, Rotom provides a lot of utility, and even wallbreaking power for the team.

magearna.gif

HEAVEN"S DOOR (Magearna) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Soul-Heart
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
- Fleur Cannon
- Volt Switch
- Iron Head
- Ice Beam

AV Magearna is something I like to run on practically all my bulky offense teams. It just does sooooo much, checking an utterly ridiculous amount of otherwise threatening special attackers Like Ash Gren and Alakazam. It also of course, has a slow Volt switch which it can use to bring in other teammates safely. There's not too much to say about AV Mage that hasn't been said already, but it fits perfectly on this team and is invaluable.

zapdos.gif

SUPER FLY (Zapdos) @ Leftovers
Ability: Static
EVs: 232 HP / 244 Def / 32 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Volt Switch
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Roost
- Defog

Zapdos is one of the less exciting pokemon on the team, but it's still a fantastic pivot and with access to defog and volt switch, it can do a lot of behind the scenes work for the team. Zap is another check to Lando-T, Kartana, Hawlucha, and to a much lesser extent Mega Medicham. Static is also an incredibly annoying ability, which can horribly punish U-turn and otehr weak contact moves. Overall, Zap is somewhat expendable, but make sure to keep it healthy in matchups with Gyara or Hawlucha etc.

kartana.gif

CHARIOT REQUIEM (Kartana) @ Steelium Z
Ability: Beast Boost
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 19 Atk
- Swords Dance
- Leaf Blade
- Smart Strike
- Sacred Sword

Timid Kartana wreaks havoc on so many teams it's not even the slightest bit funny. While I generally don't love this set, on this team it's a match made in heaven. Gallade weakens practically every timid Kart check, most notably Landorus and Celesteela, and once they're low enough or KO'd Kartana almost inevitably will sweep. After a SD, it is incredibly threatening, and if it get's even one kill, it usually ends up cleaning house. Steelium Z is to muscle past Tornadus, Garchomp, and other pokemon that would otherwise live leaf blade regular smart strike, and sacred sword. Kartana wins the majority of my games for me once Gallade does it's job and it is painfully easy to setup with it's superior bulk relative to other Kartanas. Overall, this is the wincon most often and you would be wise to bring it out only when need be.

I hope you all find success with this team! It is probably my favorite team I have ever built, and it is incredibly fun and easy to use. I hope to eventually climb in to the high 1900's to 2000's, but that is a topic for another day. Enjoy, and please leave any feedback etc. I look forward to hearing from you all! Best- Tyranical

Nice team, I don't get why nobody replies here... Mega Gallade is mon I never tried, but it seems valuable in your Replays. Specs Rotom is again a creative twist on a commonly used OU mon, which makes your teams unique. And I am also a fan of Timid Kartana, since it such a thread after the first kill... I like to run Normalium Z since it kills Zapdos after Rocks at +2, why did you choose Steelium? Also, congratz on the peak =)
