KWSFRG (uber RMT)

Hi everyone! This is my first Rate My Team Thread at smogon! This is my first uber team.Although I am not new to competitive battling, I recently started playing in the uber tier, after getting sick of the standard OU (which is way too Standard recantly).

The strategy of this team is simple yet effective.I try to make opportunities for my stat uppers to set up and then destroy the opponents team.Nothing special but works.

In Depth:

The Lead:

kyogre.png

Kyogre@Lum Berry
Nature:Modest
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
-Thunder Wave
-Surf
-Thunder
-Ice beam

Kyogre is my lead.He is a vital member of my team because he "Checks" a lot of threats like Darkrai,Groudon and some dragons in general. However I chose him because he can provide my team with Paralysis support with Thunder Wave (and sometimes with Thunder). This is very important because I lack a Scarfer and my team is terribly slow (except Garchomp).

Kyogre's set is from the analysis.Max Special Attack is a must to make Kyogre hit as hard as possible. The rest are put to HP to make Kyogre survive longer.

Surf is for STAB and is Kyogre's main form of attacking. It can OHKO Darkrai who is a big threat.Thunder is a deadly move that gets 100% accuracy under rain and deals serious damage to anything that doesnt resists it.Ice Beam hits Dragons for super effective damage (mainly Ray and Chomp) and can hit hard Groudon.

VIP #1 (seat 1A):
wobbuffet.png

Wobbuffet@Leftovers
Nature:Calm
EVs: 28 HP / 228 Def / 252 SpD
-Counter
-Mirror Coat
-Encore
-Destiny Bond

OMG run for your life (if you can) IT'S WOBBUFFET.Yeah its really the standard Wobbuffet.Wobbuffet is the key for this teams success. He is my counter to many threats including Groudon,Dialga,Lugia and others.Counter and Mirror Coar are obvious.Encore locks the opponent in one move making it easier to counter. If the opponent is locked into a stat upping move than I get a free switch in and a free set up with Garchomp or Rayquaza.Destiny Bond is my own addition to the set.Safeguard is useless as my pokes dont mind statusing. However tickle is still an option but counter has already great power and reflect from Forrettres helps the defence.

VIP #2 (seat 2C):
scizor.png

Scizor@Choice Band
Nature:Adamant
EVs: 200 HP / 56 Atk / 252 SpD
-Bullet Punch
-U-Turn
-Superpower
-Pursuit

Scizor is the second Very Important Person of the team.He serves as a counter to Lati@s and provides a second check to Darkrai,Mewtwo and Dialga (non Bulk Up).The moveset is from the analysis with different EVs.The EV spread is more defencive from the trapper one and with choice band Scizor's attack becomes high enough to OHKO Darkrai,Mewtwo and Lati@s with U-Turn.Pursuit OHKOes fleeing Lugia.

I need ammo and bullets!Support:
forretress.png

Forretress@Leftovers
Nature:Impish
EVs:252 HP / 52 Def / 208
-Stealth Rock
-Reflect
-Rapid Spin
-Explosion

Forretress sets up stealth rock and Reflect then rapid spins to get rid of oponent stealth rock and then explodes taking a foe with him.Nothing else. The EV spread was taken from another RMT.Credits to his creator.

THE MVP #1:
garchomp.png

Garchomp@Haban Berry
Nature:Jolly
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
-Swords Dance
-Outrage
-Earthquake
-Stone Edge

Garchomp is one of the two MVPs of this team. After a Swords Dance even the Great Wall Lugia is OHKOed by stone Edge after stealth rock damage.Outrage is a deadly move that gets STAB and is capable of OHKOing almost anything that doesnt resists it.Erthquake kills most Steel types except Skarmory and Bronzong.Skarm is 2HKO though by stone Edge. The EV spread is obvious.Max Attack and Speed.Haban Berry makes sure he will not be KOed by random Dragon attacks.

MVP #2:
rayquaza.png

Rayquaza@Life Orb
Nature:Adamant
EVs:252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4SpD
-Swords Dance
-Extremespeed
-Dragon Claw
-Waterfall

Rayquaza is the second stat upper.Like Garchomp, Rayquaza is unstopable after a SD.Rayquaza also has a priority move in extremespeed that makes him hard to counter and deals heavy damage to almost anything. As you noticed I have put both Dragon Claw and Waterfall to this set. Both overheat and earthquake are to hit steel types harder.Waterfall not only hits hard steel and Rock types that resist extremespeed but also deals heavy damage to Groudon.Dragon Claw is for STAB.

Well that was the team. It's doing pretty well I lost only three times so far while I had many wins.Rate/dont hate/steal (although most sets are standard).

Hope you like it.If I find time I will make a threat list.

Threat list:

Green=not a problem
Blue=can cause a bit of trouble
red=huge problem

Darkrai:A tricky one.Kyogre is my best answer as it can absorb Dark Void with lum berry and OHKO back with surf.If Kyogre is down Scizor can be a nice chack.I dont risk Wobbuffet beause of taunt.
Deoxys-A:priority from Scizor and Ray
Dexys-D:Scizor.Anyway it cant hurt me much
Deoxys-S:Most are leaders so T-Wave with Kyogre and then Surf.Scizor is my next counter.
Dialga:Wobbuffet can take him with ease.Scizor and Garchomp are nice checks if Wobbuffet is down
Garchomp:Since most of them are choiced Wobbuffet is the best counters.SD ones are dangerous though. My Garchomp can revenge kill hoping for a speed tie win.Priority is my last resort.Forretress can set up and explode
Giratina:Garchomp outspeeds and KOes.Wobbuffet can her take down or encore her
Giratina-O:Same as Giratina but this thing can strick back hard.Scizor resists all of its moves and can threaten back.Wobbufet can encore a sub or a calm mind and then Garchomp can set up.
Groudon:Wobbuffet.Garchomp can come on the T-Wave versions and set up.Then KO with outrage.Haban berry protects him from Dragon Claw.Forry sets up Reflect and Stealth rock and explodes.Kyogre as a last check
Ho-oh:Kyogre,Wobbuffet (pretty uncommon)
Kyogre:Ahuge threat.Wobbufet can take on non-specs version. My Kyogre can lure a thunder from a choice one and switch in Garchomp for a free set up.In General I hit him hard with physical attacks
Latios:Scizor,Wobbuffet
Latias@Soul Dew:Scizor,Wobbuffet
Lugia:Wobbuffet,Scizor can pursuit it to death,Kyogre checks it.
Manaphy:Wobbufet,Kyogre (same that cant be statused under rain){uncommon}
Mew:This thing is uncounterable.Wobbuffet and Scizor are my best switch ins.Kyogre can take hypnosis and strike back with surf or thunder wave.
Mewtwo:Scizor is a nice check.Wobbuffet can take non taunt versions and encore a sub or a CM
Palkia:Garchomp revenge kills.Wobbufet counters
Rayquaza:Wobbuffet can do something but not much.Kyogre can T-Wave or kill with ice beam.Scizor's bullet punch and Forry's explosion are my last resort
Shaymin-S:Wobbuffet,Scizor
Wobbuffet:nothing can kill this thing.Only a boosted attack from Ray of Chomp can kill it.Scizor can revenge kill with u-turn

A couple suggestions:

-Destiny Bond does not seem to do anything for Wobb, and most of the time you won't get to use it. I would replace it for Tickle. Tickle gives you a way to kill Blissey, Lugia, and Giratina easily, Tickiling them twice (4 times for Giratina), then having Scizor come in and Pursuit them for an easy KO, enabling your sweepers to come in and sweep more efficiently, as Lugia counters both of your sweepers handily. (Timid Lugia also outspeeds Chomp)

-You seem to have dismissed Lucario from your threat list, but if it sets up it O-2HKOes your whole team. Rayquaza with a Fire-type attack also doesn't look good either. To fix them I would replace Forretress with an Impish support Groudon. (252 HP, 60 Atk, 136 Def, 60 SDef.) This gives you a better way to deal with Lucario and Rayquaza, able to take any of their attacks and destroy them back with EQ or DClaw, respectively, still gives you SR, and can provide additional paralysis support. An optional method is to put a Scarf on Garchomp, but a boosted ESpeed still hurts it significantly.

-One of your major weaknesses is Kyogre, as you have no safe switch in for a Specs Water Spout. To remedy this, I would replace Rayquaza with Bulk Up Palkia. BU Palkia is an underrated threat, able to easily destroy even Physical walls with Rain-boosted Aqua Tail (2HKOes Lugia and Skarmory :)) and Outrage. It also weakens Groudon which can help Garchomp sweep. However, most importantly, you get a Kyogre counter, able to take even Specs Water Spout and 2HKO any Kyogre variant with Outrage

I think I may have just turned your team into mine, but best of luck to you anyways.

Thanks for the rate!
I like the bulk up Palkia and support Groudon. The only drowback is that Palkia will be hindered by Groudon's sunlight and Kyogre usualy dies early in the game.I will try it though.
Thanks again.

edit:I tried them both.Groudon is really awesome but BU Palkia dint helped me at all.I tried also Dual Weather Palkia and it works very well.

THE MVP #1:
garchomp.png

Garchomp@Haban Berry
Nature:Jolly
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Def
-Swords Dance
-Outrage
-Earthquake
-Stone Edge

Garchomp is one of the two MVPs of this team. After a Swords Dance even the Great Wall Lugia is OHKOed by stone Edge after stealth rock damage.Outrage is a deadly move that gets STAB and is capable of OHKOing almost anything that doesnt resists it.Erthquake kills most Steel types except Skarmory and Bronzong.Skarm is 2HKO though by stone Edge. The EV spread is obvious.Max Attack and Speed.Haban Berry makes sure he will not be KOed by random Dragon attacks.

you mean 252 speed not def right?

Yeah I realized that right after I posted. >_<

A Dual Weather Mixed set would fit your team much better, so yeah, you should go that route.
