ORAS OU Kyurem-B centered Offensive balance team

The main goal of this team is to have minor weaknesses possible, trying to cover the maximum possible number of Types, centered on Kyurem-Black; every pokemon have to be resistant to the maximum possible of adversaries. It’s an offensive set. Excuse me for my not perfect english, i'm italian, and for my not perfect team, it's my first RYM :D

Kyurem-Black @ Life Orb

Ability: Teravolt

EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe

Mild Nature

- Ice Beam

- Earth Power

- Fusion Bolt

- Roost

First I’ve chosen Kyurem-Black with his classic set as a mixed wallbreaker. I see Kyurem-Black as my main offensive pokemon with Gengar. Ice Beam is the most used STAB move to kill other Dragons like Garchomp and Dragonite and Ground Pokemon like Landorus-T. Earth Power is used for Pokemon that resist Ice Beam like Heatran and Bisharp. Fusion Bolt is used against Substitute Gyarados with Bounce and generally for Water pokemon. I’ve choosen Roost instead of Outrage because I use Ice Beam against Dragons pokemon so I think is useless another move to counter Dragons like Outrage. Teravolt, furthermore, makes him the Pokemon to counter Dragon Dance pokemon.

Gengar @ Life Orb

Ability: Levitate

EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

Timid Nature

- Shadow Ball

- Sludge Wave

- Focus Blast

- Taunt

Gengar is the other main offensive pokemon and my Lead. I’ve chosen him for two reasons, his STAB move Shadow Ball that is a strong threat to a lot of Pokemons and Taunt, indispensable to counter Pokemon with Sticky Web and similar moves. Focus Blast is there to counter Steel Pokemon like Heatran, while Sludge Wave is chosen to counter pokemon with resistance to Shadow Ball. Levitate, furthermove, makes him a perfect switch with ground pokemon.

Heatran @ Air Balloon

Ability: Flash Fire

EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe

Timid Nature

- Fire Blast

- Earth Power

- Flash Cannon

- Stealth Rock

While Fire Blast is the main STAB move, I’ve chosen Heatran mainly for his Air Balloon + Earth Power combination, that make him a perfect counter… Of another Heatran. I see him as a perfect switch in against pokemon with Earthquake. Furthermore it’s the Pokemon with the Stealth Rock, to counter Zapdos, Charizard and every dangerous Flying pokemon. Flash Cannon is here to counter Fairy-Types like Azumarill.

venusaur-mega.gif
Venusaur @ Venusaurite

Ability: Chlorophyll

EVs: 232 HP / 252 SpA / 24 Spe

Modest Nature

- Giga Drain

- Sludge Bomb

- Earthquake

- Synthesis

Venusaur is the Mega of this team (and the only Pokemon in my team that can potentially became a Mega) with his Thick Fat ability that transform him in a Grass pokemon resistant to Ice and Fire pokemon. Giga Drain is the main STAB move to counter Water, Ground move, while I’ve chosen Earthquake to counter Fire and Steel Pokemon, like the omnipresent Heatran. Sludge Bomb is the other STAB move useful to counter pokemon resistant to Giga Drain and Earthquake, while Synthesis transform Venusaur in a good defensive pokemon still having an offensive set.

azumarill.gif
Azumarill @ Assault Vest

Ability: Huge Power

EVs: 240 HP / 252 Atk / 16 SpD

Adamant Nature

- Play Rough

- Superpower

- Aqua Jet

- Knock Off

This Azumarill is thought to be and all-out attacker without having any Choice to counter every Pokemon that Switch without changing Azumarill with another pokemon. Play Rough is the main STAB move to counter Dragons while Aqua Jet is here as First Priority move to kill pokemon with few HP. Superpower is here to counter mainly Steel and Dark pokemon and Dark to counter Gengar and Gardevoir, among the others.

zapdos.gif
Zapdos @ Leftovers

Ability: Pressure

EVs: 248 HP / 176 Def / 68 SpA / 16 Spe

Bold Nature

- Thunderbolt

- Roost

- Defog

- Heat Wave

Zapdos is here as the Defogger of the team and as the annoying defensive pokemon, the only one in an offensive team. Thunderbolt is the main STAB move against Water pokemon and pokemon with Bounce, Roost is here combined to Heat Wave to burn other pokemon and resist while the enemy can’t do nothing to beat Zapdos unless he has a OHKO move (in that case I’ll switch Zapdos with another pokemon :D)

I think that every enemy type is covered and every pokemon that I’ve chosen have different type each other, with the only exception of Poison, but Gengar can counter Psychic Pokemon.

Other Pokemons that i've in mind for my team are Defogger Scizor, Mega-Tyranitar and Landorus-T but i'm not very sure about them.

hello there! nice to see a team that's more focused around covering types being posted here since a lot of the teams that rmt'd recently are either vvvv tryhardish or vvvv rouge and a bit too creative for the meta.

first off, the mons that your team is weak to are quite obscure but some of them like gengar , mgarde (your team gets gradually weakened by repeated hvoice psyshock and or fblasts) , mcham and is easily walled by common stall staples like chansey (gengar beats this 1v1 but is often forced into an unfavorable position if paralysed) and msab. so my first suggestion here is to give a bit of bulk and survivability to heatran by running taunt / toxic / stealth rock / lava plume with 252 hp 252 spe and 4 def. this spread allows you to set fast rocks as well as having to not lose to offensive teams with fastzor. this change gives you another option against stall since double taunt helps force stall into submission since clef / chans / msab all cannot stay in without getting taunt toxic'd. I don't honestly think you need to worry about opposing trans since you have kyub and venu, all of which are capable of dealing with tran and venu is good switch in to tran considering that you've opted for earthquake over hp fire.

zapdos is one of those defoggers that are rocks weak herself and that's something that i feel is extremely detrimental to the long grind of the team because this team , being bulky offense , thrives of being able to survive grindier games so that you are able to allow kyub to come in multiple times and wreck shop on your opponent's team. with zapdos, you become badly rocks weak and should your opponent play well for the hazard game, you may end up losing the grind. hence, i suggest that you run physdef iron head skarm over zapdos. yes this change means that you now not as hazards weak as before and it also gives you a good fallback should your opponent starts to be cocky and set up. it also means you can deal with garde and mdiancie and mcham.

lastly, some EV optimisation, Venu should run
248 HP / 20 Atk / 96 Def / 144 SpD with a relaxed nature to ensure ohko on tran after rocks. keep in mind this is a lure so you shouldn't reveal it too early in the game. hopefully my suggestions help you climb up the ladder more and improve your team so that it rectifies some of the weaknesses that are present. good luck and have fun in the game! /cheers/
