[OVERVIEW]
Overqwil is an amazing wallbreaker, entry hazard setter, and setup sweeper thanks to its remarkable Attack, good Speed, and decent utility movepool. On rain teams, Overqwil synergizes with the best rain sweeper in the tier, Basculegion-M, amazingly, since Overqwil handles the bulkier Grass-types that can take Basculegion-M's Wave Crash like Wo-Chien and Amoonguss and checks Ghost-types that try to revenge kill it as well such as Shadow Sneak Decidueye. In return, Basculegion-M takes care of Ground-types like Gligar and Swampert that can stump Overqwil. Overqwil's typing and access to Intimidate let it check many top threats like Incineroar, Munkidori, and the aforementioned Decidueye, and its access to Spikes lets it capitalize on these traits quite well. It isn't completely useless against walls like Vaporeon, Amoonguss, and Milotic either, since it can punish them with moves like Taunt and Toxic. However, even with Overqwil's access to Water-type coverage moves like Liquidation, Ground-types like Gligar, Swampert, and Flygon can still be problematic for it to handle, and they can often capitalize on it by setting up their hazards. Not only that, but thanks to their naturally high Defense, Steel-types like Duraludon and Copperajah also do a pretty good job at checking Overqwil, tanking a +2 Crunch and, in the latter's case, a Life Orb-boosted one as well. Additionally, common fast Pokemon like Flamigo, Paldean Tauros-W, Inteleon, and Kilowattrel easily prey on Overqwil's poor ability to handle repeated strong attacks, especially special ones. Overqwil's poor special bulk also leaves it vulnerable to powerful wallbreakers like Porygon-Z, Goodra, and Tornadus, which can easily break through it.

Throat Chop blocks moves like Sylveon's Hyper Voice, providing setup opportunities for Overqwil, but Crunch has the chance to drop a foe's Defense, possibly letting Overqwil break through bulkier Pokemon more easily. Scale Shot, which is always paired with Loaded Dice, boosts Overqwil's Speed, letting it outpace fast Pokemon like Scyther, Kilowattrel, and Inteleon, and it acts as a powerful neutral coverage move against the tier. Liquidation allows Overqwil to break through Ground-types like Gligar and Flygon, while Aqua Jet lets it pick off faster threats like Flamigo, Cinccino, and Kilowattrel. Life Orb lets Overqwil OHKO Galarian Slowbro, Gligar, and Toxicroak with +2 Throat Chop or Crunch, Liquidation after Stealth Rock damage, and Gunk Shot, respectively. Clear Amulet lets Overqwil not worry about Incineroar's Intimidate, Galvantula's Sticky Web, and Brambleghast's Strength Sap though. Tera Dragon boosts Scale Shot and provides Overqwil with a solid defensive typing, letting it take attacks from Pokemon like Inteleon, Chandelure, and Rotom-H. On the other hand, Tera Water allows Overqwil to OHKO Paldean Tauros-F with a +1 Liquidation and means Overqwil can better take on Water- and Fire-types such as Milotic, Basculegion-M, and Incineroar. Tera Flying, however, allows Overqwil to handle Flygon, Toxicroak, and Breloom much more easily while providing it with setup opportunities against them.
Leads such as Galvantula and Focus Sash Cinccino can easily aid Overqwil in sweeping, but ones like Eject Pack Flygon and Spikes setters like Brambleghast as well as Froslass can do that while also drawing in Grass- and Dark-types, respectively, gifting Overqwil setup opportunities. Overqwil easily handles Psychic- and Poison-types like Bronzong, Munkidori, Galarian Slowbro, and Amoonguss, which can pave the way for sweepers like Porygon-Z, Munkidori, Scyther, Diancie, and Infernape. Since Overqwil has trouble with breaking through Steel-types like Copperajah and Duraludon, partners that can beat them easily like Flygon, Paldean Tauros-W, Paldean Tauros-F, Breloom, and Chandelure are greatly appreciated. In a similar vein, Pokemon that weaken these Steel-types like Uxie, Diancie, Cinccino, Toxtricity, and Porygon-Z also work well alongside Overqwil. Ground-types like Gligar, Swampert, and Gastrodon could also be problematic, especially if Overqwil runs Scale Shot, so it should pair with teammates that can take advantage of them such as Paldean Tauros-W, Breloom, and Decidueye.

Throat Chop's ability to block sound moves like Sylveon's Hyper Voice as well as Scream Tail's and Toxtricity's Boombursts makes it preferred over Crunch, though Crunch has the chance to drop the foe's Defense and possibly make breaking through bulkier Pokemon easier. Liquidation hits Ground-types that try to switch into Overqwil's Gunk Shot like Flygon, Gligar, and Swampert, and it gets boosted by rain. Aqua Jet can be run over Swords Dance, though, so that Overqwil can have a way to pick off threats like Kilowattrel, Cinccino, and Infernape outside of rain. Life Orb is preferred, since it allows Overqwil to always OHKO Toxicroak with a +2 Gunk Shot, Galarian Slowbro with a +2 Throat Chop or Crunch, and Gligar with a +2 Liquidation under rain. However, Clear Amulet means Overqwil doesn't need to worry about Sticky Web, Intimidate, and Strength Sap from foes like Galvantula, Paldean Tauros-W, and Brambleghast, respectively. An Adamant nature allows Overqwil to achieve many rolls, including the aforementioned ones with Life Orb, but a Jolly nature lets it outspeed Unburden Hitmonlee, neutral-natured Kingdra as well as Overqwil, and +1 Cinccino under rain. Tera Water boosts Liquidation and Aqua Jet while giving Overqwil a decent defensive typing, but Tera Flying gifts it the ability to take Close Combat and Earthquake from foes such as Heracross and Flygon, giving it more chances to set up and fire off attacks.
Rain setters like Tornadus, Klefki, and Uxie are necessary partners. Additionally, they each provide unique benefits; Tornadus offers Taunt as well as fast pivoting, Klefki brings Spikes as well as speed control in Thunder Wave, and Uxie has access to Knock Off to ensure its Stealth Rock affects all foes. Overqwil is a great rain sweeper that complements Basculegion-M perfectly: Overqwil handles the Water-resistant Pokemon that can take Basculegion-M's Wave Crash like Wo-Chien, Amoonguss, and Milotic; gets free entry on them with Basculegion-M's Flip Turn; checks Decidueye, which can revenge kill it with Shadow Sneak; and nails the Water-immune Pokemon that switch in on it like Vaporeon, Toxicroak, and Gastrodon. In return, Basculegion-M beats Ground-types that Overqwil can have issues with beating sometimes like Gligar and Palossand. Other rain sweepers like Ludicolo and Kingdra are also appreciated, since the former can reliably beat Water-resistant or -immune Pokemon like Milotic, Vaporeon, and Gastrodon more reliably, while the latter dents the same Pokemon quite easily and is extremely fast under rain. Even though Overqwil can beat Water-types, since the rest of its teammates often struggle with them, it's a good idea to have partners like Kilowattrel, Toxicroak, and Decidueye. Pokemon such as Flygon and Gligar as well as the aforementioned Klefki and Uxie can set up entry hazards, allowing Overqwil and its teammates to wallbreak more easily.

Barb Barrage complements more defensive EV spreads really well with how it easily spreads poison, while Gunk Shot works better on offensive EV spreads with the sheer power it provides. Throat Chop blocks sound moves like Sylveon's Hyper Voice as well as Toxtricity's and Scream Tail's Boombursts. Pain Split provides Overqwil with a manner of recovery, but Taunt means it can bother walls, stopping them from setting entry hazards, boosting their stats, or healing up. Haze can clear stat boosts from Pokemon like Bronzong, Sylveon, and Decidueye, though. Heavy-Duty Boots lets Overqwil pivot in and out without worry of hazards chipping it, but Leftovers gives it passive healing. Rocky Helmet could also be used, though Overqwil often switches into Pokemon that carry Knock Off like Incineroar, Alolan Muk, and Tsareena. A defensive EV spread of 252 HP / 40 Def / 216 Spe with a Jolly nature allows Overqwil to handle Incineroar's and Paldean Tauros-W's attacks while letting it outpace Basculegion-M and Chandelure, but investing into its Attack lets it double up as a wallbreaker. Tera Fairy lets Overqwil handle Flygon as well as Paldean Tauros-F, maintains its Dark resistance, and gives it a well-rounded defensive typing, while Tera Steel offers it multiple useful resistances, letting it take attacks like Cinccino's Tail Slap, Sylveon's Hyper Voice, and Kilowattrel's Hurricane. Tera Flying allows Overqwil to take on Ground- and Fighting-types like Flygon, Flygon, and Breloom.
Overqwil's ability to check Munkidori, Galarian Slowbro, Alolan Muk, and Decidueye makes it a prime partner for Flamigo, Breloom, Decidueye, and Paldean Tauros-W, and on top of that, they all enjoy it setting up Spikes. However, if Overqwil wants to take full advantage of its Spikes, it requires Knock Off users, making Pokemon like Cinccino, Tornadus, Copperajah, and Gligar great teammates. To add on to Overqwil's Spikes, Stealth Rock setters like the latter two as well as Flygon and Bronzong work well alongside it. Overqwil easily falls to Fighting- and Ground-types such as Paldean Tauros-W, Toxicroak, and Flygon, so partners like Sylveon, Dragalge, Gligar, and Amoonguss work amazingly. Special walls like Porygon2, Gastrodon, Diancie, and Bronzong work well to check Pokemon like Chandelure, Inteleon, Tornadus, and Sylveon that try to take advantage of Overqwil's lower Special Defense.

Other Options
====
Swords Dance sets can run Agility instead of Scale Shot or another coverage move, which allows Overqwil to more quickly outspeed many Pokemon like Basculegion-M as well as Ludicolo under rain, Speed Booster Energy Scream Tail, and Choice Scarf users like Flygon and Infernape. However, its passivity compared to Scale Shot usually means it gets disregarded. More defensive Spikes sets can run Toxic to chip away at walls like Milotic, Incineroar, and Swampert, and in spreading poison, it can boost Barb Barrage. In a similar way, Toxic Spikes is usable, though common grounded Poison-types like Galarian Slowbro, Alolan Muk, and opposing Overqwil can render it useless. Air Balloon is useful, especially on offensive sets, since it lets Overqwil take advantage of Gligar, Torterra, and Choice-locked Flygon. In rain, Overqwil can capitalize on the one-time boost that Tera Stellar gives all of its moves to achieve similar rolls to Life Orb, namely, after a Swords Dance, OHKOing Toxicroak with Gunk Shot; Galarian Slowbro with Crunch; and, after Stealth Rock damage, Gligar with Liquidation. Because of this, going with Tera Stellar opens up Overqwil's item, which means it can run Clear Amulet to avoid Paldean Tauros-W's Intimidate, Brambleghast's Strength Sap, and Sticky Web.
Checks and Counters
====
**Ground-types**: Flygon, Gligar, Swampert, and Gastrodon can all switch in on Overqwil and threaten it with their super effective Ground-type attacks. On top of that, they can take advantage of it by setting entry hazards and, in Flygon's case, boosting their stats. However, especially under rain, the former three must be cautious, since rain-boosted Liquidation allows Overqwil to handle them quite well, and Overqwil can boost Liquidation even further with Tera Water and Life Orb. Gastrodon is Water-immune though, which helps it, and it does well versus more defensive Overqwil sets. However, due to it often being specially defensive, it can get 2HKOed by offensive Overqwil's Throat Chop.
**Steel-types**: Duraludon, Copperajah, and Klefki all block Overqwil's most powerful attack, Gunk Shot, forcing it rely on the weaker Throat Chop or Crunch to get through them. Additionally, Duraludon can boost its Defense as well as threaten to 2HKO offensive and defensive Overqwil sets alike, Copperajah can phaze Overqwil, and they all can capitalize on it by setting their hazards.
**Fighting-types**: Even though Overqwil has Intimidate, neutral Fighting-type STAB attacks from Paldean Tauros-W, Infernape, and Toxicroak can overpower it due to Close Combat's high Base Power, and they can often set up on it. However, versus rain Overqwil sets, they must be cautious of being outsped and hit by powerful Life Orb-boosted attacks.
**Special Wallbreakers**: Special wallbreakers such as Porygon-Z, Inteleon, and Tornadus outspeed Overqwil and capitalize on its low Special Defense to overwhelm it. In rain, Overqwil can turn the tables on these threats though, outspeeding and OHKOing all of them.
