Welcome everyone to the debut of a new project in this community: the Random Battles Ladder Achievements Project!
As we all know, grinding for hours and hours on ladders is one of the favorite activities of the people in this community and it's finally time to have a dedicated project that hopes to create something cool and fun for everyone involved.
Last week of the LAP and Community Choice!
It is the last week of the first Ladder Achievements Project! Last week we had some challenges that have been cleared by pretty much everyone but we also had a moment that was bound to happen: we had to rework a challenge (Underrated) that ended up being too difficult to complete.
Hopefully we have learned from our mistakes for this week, which includes a challenge that is the direct result of a Community Choice! The original plan was to turn the Community Choice into the Side Quest of the week, but given the nature of the proposal, we thought it would be better to "just" have it as a Fun Challenge instead. Thanks and congrats to AtlasNeo for the suggestion (now you gotta try to clear it as well :p)!
And now, without further ado, let's take a look at what week 3 has in store for the players!
Climber: Reach 1st place on the Hyperblitz ladder
Specifics: There are no specifics for this challenge

Magician: Trick an item 5 times and proceed to win the match(es)
Minimum elo of your opponent: 1100
- Switcheroo also counts
- The move needs to be successful: trying to use Trick on a Pokemon whose item can't be removed won't count
- Using the move when you are itemless counts as long as you are receiving an item in exchange
- Clicking the move multiple times per match and using it successfully does count

Weather Forecast: Win 2 matches where there are at least 2 different types of weather on the field
Minimum elo of your opponent: 1150
- The compatible weathers are: rain, sun, sand, snow
- It doesn't matter if the weather is triggered thanks to a move or an ability. The important thing is to see the weather on screen
- The weather triggered by the opponents does count

Luigi wins... : Win a match after not picking a move for the first 5 turns
Minimum elo of your opponent: 1200
- The 5th turn is included, so you can start clicking your moves from turn 6 onwards
- Please do !showteam at the end of the match so we can see that the moves you (didn't) pick for the first 5 turns were actually the first in the pokemon's movesets
- The same logic applies to switching: if your Pokemon gets ko'd or it clicks a pivot move by default, don't pick your next Pokemon but let Auto Choose do it for you

Eevolutionist: Be the quickest player to win 1 match with each Eevolution!
Specifics:
- All the compatible pokemon need to touch the field
- Having two or more eevolutions on your team does count
- Do NOT send replays in this thread but instead share them to 35Q71N via private message on Smogon or on Discord (fran35q71n). Similarly to the Chien-Pao challenge, the idea is to not reveal who is provisionally
- Needless to say, the Pokemon compatible with this achievement are the 8 eevolutions:

The deadline for the Side Quest is set on Sunday 24th at 11:59 pm GMT +1 (midnight UK time)
General Rules
Here are some general guidelines we have reprised from other LAPs and adapted to the current project:
- All battles must take place on the Spotlight Ladder on Pokemon Showdown.
- Please give proof that you completed the challenge to validate your achievement. Our preferred way to do so is by sending replays in the dedicated thread. This is particularly true for the Fun Challenges, while screenshots are normally better to show you have cleared the Standard Challenges. In any case, hosts will specify how to submit the results in case of very unique challenges.
- You can get several achievements from the same battle/account, unless explicitly stated otherwise. I'll like your post once I've taken it into account.
- Achievements can be submitted in PM to me if you want the account you used to remain inconspicuous; I will be posting them in the thread (giving your Smogon username) myself. Please only do it as little as possible though; it's less fun.
- Past performances will not be counted; any submission needs to be verifiable on the server (by checking at the rank, WL, and such) at the moment they are posted. I.e. if the LAP starts on August 4th, you can't send a screenshot of you topping the ladder on August 1st to claim one of the Standard Challenges.
- You are obviously allowed to update your posts to showcase you have improved your records on the ladder (this is especially important for the Standard Challenges but it could also involve other challenges) as long as you do so before the deadline.
- Naturally, don't try to cheat, for instance by submitting an achievement with an account that's not yours and yours alone. In addition to that, don't mass forfeit games on the ladder just to speed up the process of obtaining the achievements. If caught doing so, you might get exposed and made fun of (but also infracted of course).
- Achievement levels may be subject to change at host's discretion.
