Welcome everyone to the debut of a new project in this community: the Random Battles Ladder Achievements Project!
As we all know, grinding for hours and hours on ladders is one of the favorite activities of the people in this community and it's finally time to have a dedicated project that hopes to create something cool and fun for everyone involved.
Introduction to cycle 2
Last month saw the debut of the LAP and there were a lot of things to reflect on for the long term success of the project. For the upcoming cycle, there aren't going to be real changes in the structure but from now on, the goal is to create challenges that are more "tailor-made" for the current Spotlight format. Since this is the first ever Gen 5 Spotlight, you can expect that we'll find a way to involve something like gems, items, abilities, mechanics and pokemon first introduced in this gen for our challenges. Pokebilities is obviously the distinctive trait of this format, so you already know that abilities will play a big role in each of the three weeks of the LAP.
And now, without further ado, let's take a look at what week 2 has in store for the players!
Climber: Reach 1st place on the Gen 5 Pokebilities ladder

Minimum elo of your opponent: 1200

Stat Raiser: Witness 5 instances where a non primary ability in gen 5 rands is triggered and it leads to a stat increase of a pokemon
Minimum elo of your opponent: 1150
- The 5 instances can involve both your and the opponent's pokemon
- However, each of the 5 instances need to involve different pokemon
- You may use as many instances as you want from the same replay
- The stat increase needs to involve a stat boost change. For instance, pokemon having increased speed thanks to Swift Swim DO NOT count
- With "non primary ability", we mean one of the abilities that the pokemon normally doesn't have in randbats but that gains thanks to pokebilities (e.g. Weak Armor Skarmory)
- To be 100% sure, we advise you to do !showteam at the end so we can see what the primary ability was

Hot Tag: Get the most kills of a targeted pokemon that keeps changing!
Specifics:
1) We'll start by giving you a certain pokemon to defeat on the ladder
2) Your goal is to be the first competitor to ko that target and win the match in the process
3) If nobody else did that before you, post the replay of your win in this thread and gain a point in the process
4) The next target will be automatically selected as the first pokemon you sent out in the battle against the previous target
5) The person with the most points at the end of the week is going to be the winner of this Side Quest
More specifics
- The minimum elo required for this challenge is 1050
- Only the pokemon of the opponents count as the target pokemon, of course
- In the very very rare case the lead is also the previous target pokemon, we'll pick the pokemon in slot 2 instead
- However, repeated targets are allowed: if the 2nd and the 5th pokemon happen to be the same, that's ok
- You don't have to wait for the host to officialize the next target pokemon since you can easily see it in the replay (I'll try to announce it asap though)
- Please post the replays IN THIS THREAD for visibility

General Rules
Here are some general guidelines we have reprised from other LAPs and adapted to the current project:
- All battles must take place on the Spotlight Ladder on Pokemon Showdown.
- Please give proof that you completed the challenge to validate your achievement. Our preferred way to do so is by sending replays in the dedicated thread. This is particularly true for the Fun Challenges, while screenshots are normally better to show you have cleared the Standard Challenges. In any case, hosts will specify how to submit the results in case of very unique challenges.
- You can get several achievements from the same battle/account, unless explicitly stated otherwise. I'll like your post once I've taken it into account.
- Achievements can be submitted in PM to me if you want the account you used to remain inconspicuous; I will be posting them in the thread (giving your Smogon username) myself. Please only do it as little as possible though; it's less fun.
- Past performances will not be counted; any submission needs to be verifiable on the server (by checking at the rank, WL, and such) at the moment they are posted. I.e. if the LAP starts on October 6th, you can't send a screenshot of you topping the ladder on October 1st to claim one of the Standard Challenges.
- You are obviously allowed to update your posts to showcase you have improved your records on the ladder (this is especially important for the Standard Challenges but it could also involve other challenges) as long as you do so before the deadline.
- Naturally, don't try to cheat, for instance by submitting an achievement with an account that's not yours and yours alone. In addition to that, don't mass forfeit games on the ladder just to speed up the process of obtaining the achievements. If caught doing so, you might get exposed and made fun of (but also infracted of course).
- Achievement levels may be subject to change at host's discretion.
The Prizes
