SS OU Land of Milk and Cookies Stall

With limited mons and a plethora of threats being banned, a good stall team is tough to beat. I wanted to create a stall team featuring Hippowdon and its powerful Sand Stream ability due to its ability to chip down most offensive mons that now prefer Heavy duty boots over Leftovers. Although it the team isn't perfect I think its pretty decent overall and can be really annoying to play against.

Waffles (Hippowdon) @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 8 Atk / 248 Def
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Slack Off
- Stealth Rock
- Toxic

Waffles!! Waffles the Hippowdon is the main stop for most physical mons, practically the only stop to the rare but devastating band ttar, and one of the only current stall mons to be able to punish volt switch and U-turn. Between Rocky Helmet, Toxic, Stealth Rocks, and Sandstorm, Hippowdown creates a lot of passive damage on pokemon that typically would give stall problems. Very basic EVs are given to ensure a OHKO on Excadrill and better survive hits from Marowak-A and Urshifu. Hippo's damage is very important for things like Toxtricity and Banded Urshifu as these things have tools that can really make life hard for stall teams without it.

Nurse Joy's Blissey | Pokémon Wiki | Fandom

Cookie (Blissey) (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Heal Bell
- Seismic Toss
- Soft-Boiled
- Toxic

Another stall staple, Blissey blanket checks most things that hit on the special side. Alakazam, Primarina, Volcarona, and non shift gear Toxtricity all get walled by Blissey. Leftovers are preferred over Heavy Duty Boots to negate Sandstorm damage. Heal bell is preferred over teleport so that Mandibuzz can stick around through Excadrill and Aegislash Toxics to continue getting off Defogs.

Cleffa, Clefairy and Clefable | Pokemon, Pokemon teams, Cute pokemon

Strawberry (Clefable) @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 248 Def / 8 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Moonblast
- Soft-Boiled
- Stored Power

Clefable serves as the win con of the team while also having an absurd amount of defensive utility through its great typing and ability. Magic guard absorbs all status minus the rare sleep and unlucky freeze, and avoids your own sandstorm. Stored power is used to beat opposing CM Clefables while also putting many common clefable counters under pressure. Clefable also helps with sub versions of Dragapult as they harass Blissey and become a problem for the rest of the team.

Chocolate (Mandibuzz) (F) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Overcoat
EVs: 248 HP / 160 Def / 44 SpD / 56 Spe
Impish Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Foul Play
- Roost
- Defog
- Toxic

Mandibuzz is used over something like Corvinight because it has assess to Foul play and Toxic. Mandibuzz helps defeat Marowak-A which can actually take on Hippo with flare blitz. Mandibuzz can outspeed with EVs and KO with foulplay or get off defogs. Mandibuzz also avoids getting trapped by Magnezone and is one of the few checks to all forms of Rillaboom.

Milk (Toxapex) @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Scald
- Recover
- Haze
- Knock Off

Toxapex is another pokemon that has endless defensive usefulness with the combination of the rare Haze and Regenerator. Toxapex can be used to scout dangerous moves and switch out into appropriate counters shrugging off most damage with regenerator or pivoting in on slower more defensive mons. Pex has helmet because it really appreciates the passive damage created against Cinderace and Crawdaunt.

Duplica's Ditto (anime) | Pokémon Wiki | Fandom

Jelly (Ditto) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Imposter
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Transform

Ditto is the only thing stopping the team from losing to Venusaur in sun, while also helping beat Toxtricity. Along with Toxapex, Ditto is the most important pokemon in the stall vs stall matchup, essentially giving this team infinite pp and recovering on Corv/Blissey/Clef/Toxapex. Against offensive teams Ditto brings the threat of copying opposing boosts and reverse sweeping late game. If your opponent is wreckless you can do tons of damage with Ditto.

This team looks solid at a glance, checks basically every box a stall team wants to. There are a few things that look annoying. Without a steel bird, rillaboom can be a huge threat, especially banded which doesn't invite ditto in as freely to revenge.

252+ Atk Choice Band Rillaboom Wood Hammer vs. 248 HP / 160+ Def Mandibuzz in Grassy Terrain: 153-180 (36.1 - 42.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

If they uturn once on mandi it basically can kill everything when it gets in, which is why this is a fairly large weakness. Personally I don't know how to implement this fully if this becomes a problem aside from just swapping mandi for corv or skarm but that might overlap with hippo as a check for threats like drill, but you said in the description that this can check rillaboom, so if you find that it's manageable then go for it, the calcs aren't damage mandibuzz likes taking but it can still take it.

One other thing to change is the last move on clef. Stored power should be changed for flamethrower or thunder(bolt) imo. The team is very bad at breaking corviknight, and this pressure is really helpful against that. Ferrothorn can also be annoying which is a plus for flamethrower, but something that beats most stalls like togekiss doesn't like to break through a boosted clefable with thunder(bolt). Idk which one you prefer, the power of thunder or the consistency of thunderbolt, so I just thought both could be an option here.

Cm hatterene could also be a threat, since it bounces back all the status stall wants to throw at it, can creep for pex speed and hit strong psychic moves, and heals off blissey with draining kiss. This might be a bit harder to patch if it is a problem, again I think an iron head corv could help, but helmet hippowdon is good at beating it assuming they run psyshock and not psychic.

Overall solid team though, someone with a bit more meta knowledge than me might be able to give a bit more insight if there's any other flaws I'm not seeing, but for a stall team it looks fairly solid.

i would try to fit another regen mon, this team really loses to pex+tangrowth switching over and over again
