It can act as a bulky pivot, a Stealth Rock setter wearing a Rocky Helmet, or a powerful physical attacker with a Choice Scarf, using moves like Earthquake, U-turn, Stone Edge, and Grass Knot and sometimes even Tera Blast Flying to pressure opponents and maintain momentum (it can also run Smack Down to beat Moltres and Zapdos on Defensive sets). Its immunity to Electric and Ground attacks and ability to weaken physical threats make it an excellent defensive tool, while its base 145 Attack lets it threaten offensively. However, it’s held back by a 4× weakness to Ice, vulnerability to Water moves, and lack of reliable recovery.
