Aerodactyl @ Focus Sash
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Stealth Rock
- Taunt
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
Standard lead set. Taunts anything that can set up SR, then sets up. Earthquake can kill a Heatran lead, Rock Slide for the rare Flying lead but this is basically a suicide lead. Nothing to improve on here, max speed and attack give it some potential, this used to be Azelf, but then I realized how much better Aerodactyl is.
Jolteon @ Life Orb
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 4 Def/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Thunderbolt
- Shadow Ball
- Signal Beam
One of the best sweepers ever. 394 speed, coupled with STAB Life Orb Thunderbolt makes Jolteon a force to be feared. Most people think im running Choice Specs, and I surprise them with HP Ice. HP Ice over HP Grass, because Dragons wall this set harder than Swampert, and I would switch on Swampert anyway. Signal Beam takes out Celebi, and Shadow Ball destroys Rotom and Gengar.
Infernape @ Life Orb
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 64 Atk/192 Spd/252 SAtk
Naive nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Flamethrower
- Close Combat
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Grass Knot
Yes, I know. ANOTHER Infernape. It's there for a good reason. It takes out Dragons with an unexpected HP ice, destroys Swampert with Grass Knot, and annihilates Empoleon with Close Combat. Flamethrower is there for Scizor, but is almost never used because it's so expected. Very good sweeper, I've always had this on my team.
Latias @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Dragon Pulse
- Surf
- Recover
I recently started using Latias, and it is AMAZING. Latias is a beastly sweeper, and with a few CM's, nothing can stop it. Life Orb with recover ensures that it can keep killing, Dragon pulse because it doesn't cancel out CM like Draco Meteor does and Surf for some water power on my team.
Scizor @ Choice Band
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 HP/252 Atk/8 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Bullet Punch
- U-turn
- Superpower
- Pursuit
Scizor is a staple on many teams. This is just a standard CB Scizor. U-turn for Psychic types that resist BP and Superpower. Pursuit lets me hurt Ghost types, and it seems that U-turn and Pursuit on the same set seems redundant, but it's worked for me so far, so I'm gonna keep it.
Salamence @ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 16 Atk/252 Spd/240 SAtk
Naive nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Draco Meteor
- Outrage
- Flamethrower
- Earthquake
This set loves to sweep. Switch into a resistance, and attack accordingly. High SAtk and Atk with the given EV's. Draco Meteor then switch, Flamethrower for Steel types that resist my Dragon moves, and Earthquake for Electic types. Outrage is used when low on health and being locked isn't as troublesome/don't have the option to switch because of Draco Meteor.
As you can see, this an all-out offensive team. It's got a few resistances though, so I guess it's slightly defensive too. Rate, mention the good and the bad, I'm willing to switch around my pokemon, but give solid reasons for why I should. Have fun rating.
