Tera Stahl erlaubt es Foongus, mächtige Bedrohungen wie Shellder, Gothita und Vullaby effektiv zu checken und gleichzeitig ein solides Matchup gegen Grookey zu behalten. Foongus ist ein Anker in Balance-Teams, indem es mit Teammitgliedern wie Mudbray und Mienfoo gepartnert wird, wobei Ersteres Gift- und Stahl-Pokémon wie Stunky und Tinkatink schlägt, die Foongus Probleme bereiten, und Letzteres mit ihm einen starken Regenerator-Core bildet und auch Stahl-Pokémon wie Pawniard besiegt.

Foongus is an anchor on balance teams, where it partners with teammates like Mudbray and Mienfoo; the former beats Poison- and Steel-types like Stunky and Tinkatink that give Foongus trouble, while the latter forms a potent Regenerator core with it while also beating Steel-types like Pawniard.
