I was bored, so I made an LC TR team. It's been going pretty well and I'm having fun, but I'm not high on the ladder or anything (only 1700, 22-5 record on PS) though most of those losses are from when I was still learning how to use the team and ironing out the kinks. I think 3 of them were to Lileep killing my team on its own before I added an additional Toxic to my team.
Munchlax @ Choice Band
Trait: Thick Fat
Level: 5
EVs: 236 SDef / 236 Atk / 36 Def
Adamant Nature
IVs: 0 Spd
- Return
- Earthquake
- Fire Punch
- Ice Punch
Munchlax is Trick Room threat #1. He's specially bulky, allowing plenty of chances to safely swap in, and does a ton of damage with a CB. Fire/ice punch is a clean 2kho of every Misdreavus I have encountered, but mispredictions can definitely plague this set. For this reason Munchlax is usually saved for late game as once the ghosts/steel/rock types are off the field nothing can stop him. I have considered giving him a Life Orb, but he'd miss out on some important KO's and would only 3 hit misdreavus instead of 2.
Solosis @ Focus Sash
Trait: Magic Guard
Level: 5
EVs: 240 SAtk / 236 HP / 32 SDef
Modest Nature
IVs: 30 Atk / 30 SAtk / null Spd
- Trick Room
- Psychic
- Protect
- Hidden Power [Fire]
Solosis isn't really used as a special attacking threat in this team. He's used as a late game trump card - with magic guard+sash, he is guaranteed to get a trick room off and then hit back hard with a psychic or HP fire before fainting, hopefully asap, because the sooner he faints, the more turns Munchlax or Cubone get from Trick Room.
Protect is to avoid fake outs breaking sash. HP Fire is there because I needed a pokemon who can easily deal with Bronzor and Ferroseed, and Solosis is immune to Leech Seed damage, so he's perfect for the job. and it also does enough neutral damage to break subs from Murkrow. It even does 50% to Lo MixKrow!
Cubone @ Thick Club
Trait: Rock Head
Level: 5
EVs: 196 Atk / 156 Def / 156 HP
Adamant Nature
IVs: 0 Spd
- Earthquake
- Fire Punch
- Rock Slide
- Double-Edge
Threat #2 and the biggest one, he just obliterates everything without needing a choice item to do it and he can also take a hit, especially from priority due to his great defense. If I get Cubone in cleanly with 3 or 4 Trick Room turns left, it's usually 3 dead pokemon.
Porygon @ Eviolite
Trait: Trace
Level: 5
EVs: 236 SAtk / 236 HP / 36 Def
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Spd
- Trick Room
- Recover
- Ice Beam
- Toxic
Porygon is hilariously tanky with Trick Room up. When he moves first with Recover, there's not many common threats in the tier that can burn him down. Toxic synergizes with this, and also is almost a requirement vs Lileep in the sand - Lileep is slower than most of my team, so if I can't get Toxic on him, he can practically sweep us by himself. Ice Beam is the attack of choice as it hits ghosts and has good power and accuracy and I don't have room for Tri-Attack in this set.
Bronzor @ Eviolite
Trait: Heatproof
Level: 5
EVs: 228 Def / 228 SDef / 52 HP
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Spd
- Stealth Rock
- Trick Room
- Toxic
- Flash Cannon
Bronzor is almost always my lead. Heatproof makes him the safest lead on my team and his ability to set up both rocks and trick room is great. Flash Cannon is there just because with this set the only thing I'm worried about aside from bulk up is having subs set up on me, and with flash cannon they can usually be broken before Bronzor faints.
Frillish @ Eviolite
Trait: Cursed Body
Level: 5
EVs: 236 SAtk / 36 Def / 236 HP

IVs: 0 Spd
- Recover
- Trick Room
- Will-O-Wisp
- Surf
The final defensive pokemon on my team, Frillish's excellent typing combined with Will-O-Wisp, Recover and Trick Room usually means that he can stall out all but super effective hits until Cursed Body inevitably activates, and he can even stall out a lot of non-stab supereffective attacks. For this reason I went with SAtk EV's instead of Def or Spdef, and Surf over Scald, because my team needs a bit more oomph on the special attacking side.
Weaknesses? So far, I only really fear Eviolite Shed Skin Bulk Up Scraggy. He beats everything on my team, but luckily he doesn't seem to be near as prevalent as the DD moxie variants, which this team easily deals with. I usually have to rely on mindgames and pray that my opponent predicts me switching out and boosts so that I can get some damage in on him and then swap to Frillish so that he can't drain punch, and hope that surf kills it. Definitely not an elegant solution.
Mienfoo is also annoying because fake out wastes a TR turn, but this can sometimes work to my advantage.
This team has been working well so far and it's been pretty fun. Since I swapped Tri-Attack on Porygon with Toxic to patch up the Lileep weakness, I haven't lost yet. I'm sure any KrowDreavusMienfoo team could easily beat me though because yeah, they're just the best. But regardless, all it takes is Trick Room expiring at the least opportune moment lategame for what looked to be a clear win to turn into a loss, but generally the power of my sweepers is so high that this doesn't happen.
