Rules​
  • Follow all rules listed here.
  • Schedule via Smogon VMs. It's easier for me to make decisions for activity calls when I can actually see what went down with scheduling.
  • If you are unable to schedule with your opponent, please let your managers know ASAP so they can communicate that to me or the other team's managers for a potential substitute.
  • Substitutions may be made after a week has started. When making a substitution, please tag myself, the managers of the opposing team, and all of the players affected by the substitute to ensure that everyone is made aware. Players who have already played in the week or were subbed out in the same week cannot be subbed back in.
  • If a match remains incomplete by the time of the deadline, it will be subject to an activity call.
  • Replays are mandatory. Not only are they useful for confirming wins, they contribute to usage stats and allow the people who couldn't watch the games live to watch them later.
  • Managers: Please send me your lineups in the same format that I used to post pairings. It makes it much easier to post future rounds more quickly.

SV LC: Eniigma vs Colin - This will for sure be a good one, but I think it more likely that Colin will take this.
SV LC: PoseidonWrath vs Greedy_eb - Very good matchup. Wrath plays really consistent, but Greedy has higher highs. Will depend on what Greedy shows up.
UU LC: Mkns1070 vs JuanSG - Juan should take this

SV LC: Lokifan vs ambi_ - Betting on Loki here however ambi has surprised me a lot this tour so I wouldn't rule them out completely. Will be a good game to watch.
SV LC: Skyiew vs Quinn - yeah idk
UU LC: bleahey vs Piyu - Hydrogen bomb vs coughing baby matchup. Bleahey is great at the tier. Piyu can still win if they're passed a good matchup and click well though.
 
Quick predicts before I sleep and preparing for exam next tuesday.

BW LC: TyCarter vs vooper - Washed mu, smth like 75:25
BW LC: Cow vs Monai - Monai's not playing in SPL anymore so he is free from being shackled by SPL. Smth like 60:40 to Monai.
DPP LC: trace vs rineko - Rineko's been making slight improvements every week, but I don't know if it's enough vs trace. 55:45 towards Trace.
DPP LC: Nineveh vs Eeveeto - Eeveeto will serve, although Nineveh and her friends can prep and be ready for Eeveeto it'll be like 51:49 aaah mu towards Eeveeto.
ADV LC: Alder ST vs natu - Both has preferences of pusjing their advantage forward than playing slow and controlled. I'd say Alder having stronger awareness and adjusting to his opponent to get reads makes him more likely to sequences the win, while ant lacks at that aspect, and relies on his hidden partners to keep Alder from figuring out. 55:45 to Alder due to his better awareness and player skill, but it can go either way.

BW LC: Envy vs LilyAC - Close player matchup...? But I think Envy will take this convincingly and make the great long term moves. 60:40
DPP LC: HSOWA vs Django - Feel like the HSOWA quirks will be punished accordingly to Django's build from Naere, which consist of controlled and having the mu from the get go. 60:40
ADV LC: shreyashhy vs naere - Certainly one of top vs top matchup I'm happy to see. Generally it's a clash between "overwhelming and explosive" vs "controlled and consistent" type of player matchup, where Shrey typically has a preference to maintain momentum while Naere prefers the game to be clean and steady, as one of her key archetypes are not relying on low acc moves unless necessary and well planned teams from start to end. I think if Naere paid a bit more attention to the trends, this would be her favour like 65:35, but since shrey has vastly improved that he's innovating much effective that I think Naere will caught off guard. It'll be somewhat 51:49 ass mu towards shrey, but I wouldn't be shocked if Naere has the better matchup in building. All I can say here is there's a likely chance one of their abra sets can snowball against each other, and I think there will be that one turn that decides who truly wins the game imo.
ADV LC: Zcarlett vs MZ - MZ hasn't lost yet, but I do feel like his lack of awareness will catch up to him and Zcarlett has plenty of ways to mixup vs him. Obviously, if Zcarlett gets complacent and reuses her preferred playstyle, she will get heavily punished. Not like I am saying she shouldn't do it, but she can add more complexity instead of throwing sub + toxic in a single mon. Otherwise I think this is probably a 55:45 to Zcarlett if she's playing on point and add more layers to make MZ have to think, and force him on scenarios that naere/quinn hasn't shown/explained.

There has been a lot of fun of ADV, BW and especially DPP matches in this tournament :)
