Welcome to LCPL XIV! This tournament will have eight teams and ten slots, from SV to ADV LC.​
Rules
  • Follow all rules listed here.
  • Schedule via Smogon VMs. It's easier for me to make decisions for activity calls when I can actually see what went down with scheduling. However, if you do not schedule through Smogon VMs, please post all logs of scheduling and manager pings, so I can make accurate activity calls.
  • If you are unable to schedule with your opponent, please let your managers know ASAP so they can communicate that to me or the other team's managers for a potential substitute.
  • Substitutions may be made after a week has started. When making a substitution, please tag myself, the managers of the opposing team, and all of the players affected by the substitute to ensure that everyone is made aware. Players who have already played in the week or were subbed out in the same week cannot be subbed back in.
  • If a match remains incomplete by the time of the deadline, it will be subject to an activity call.
  • Replays are mandatory. Not only are they useful for confirming wins, they contribute to usage stats and allow the people who couldn't watch the games live to watch them later.

SV: PigWarrior19 vs Eniigma- eniigma will cook in the builder+good form
SV: JuanSG vs Fogbound Lake- same reasoning as eniigma
SV: Kingler vs LeJames Chonk - not very high only kingler in SV so far
SWSH: DuGuo vs Greedy_eb - trusting lily+kingler to prep something nice
USUM: LilyAC vs Voltix - lily difference
ORAS: watashi vs Heysup - highlight mu
BW: Baddy vs Piyu - both in good form, but trust krabby team prep will be better
DPP: termnal vs Fantos13- fantos got more experience but might overcook in builder+not the greatest lcpl so far so idk feels 50 50
ADV: evakiyama! vs Lialiabeast - the goat

Swooping Rufflets (4.5) vs (5.5) Remoraiders
SV: kythr vs Kaboom - kythr showing some resurgence after rough start, close mu
SV: dunoks vs Éric- dunoks been playing generally well but giving it to eric
SV: Drifting vs bleahey- feel bleahey will have some edge in the builder but feels very 50 50
SV: seraphz vs Colin- colin good
SWSH: Stecolomaxx vs Raichy-stecolo good
USUM: tazz vs boulicrok-another fun mu, but will give it to bouli
ORAS: Ampha vs Akaru Kokuyo-will be fun to see the prep battle here, but plays wise i think akaru is better
BW: Mister Magnus vs Nashrock- brazil
DPP: mayopockets vs reggg - reggg good
ADV: Shing vs Alder ST - shing tier

SV: Starsama vs Laroxyl - Big highlight, Laroxyl is playing really well but I do think Starsama is the best SV player for almost a year now. 60-40
SV: PigWarrior19 vs Eniigma - Eniigma is in an awesome run and will keep up to get that SCL spot. 40-60
SV: JuanSG vs Fogbound Lake - I feel like this could go either way but Fog had a really good open run and should win. 40-60
SV: Kingler vs LeJames Chonk - This game should be the decider and since Kingler proved to be weak after week 5 he will lose the clutch. 1-99*
SWSH: DuGuo vs Greedy_eb - Even though DuGuo started his LCPL run really well, Greedy might be the SS GOAT. 45-55
USUM: LilyAC vs Voltix - Voltix is having an awesome LCPL run right now but I just can't bold against Lily. 55-45
ORAS: watashi vs Heysup - They've played once and watashi ended up winning but Heysup will plan something sinister so I will favor him. 45-55
BW: Baddy vs Piyu - Whoever realizes that Ferroseed + Vullaby + Drilbur is broken first will win this one and Cooper better start prepping. 45-55
DPP: termnal vs Fantos13 - Fantos is not having a good run this year unfortunately, while termnal is doing great. 60-40
ADV: evakiyama! vs Lialiabeast - Could go either way, I do think evakiyama played more games in this tier so will favor them. 55-45

Swooping Rufflets :rufflet: (6) vs :remoraid: (4) Remoraiders
SV: kythr vs Kaboom - I'm not bolding against kythr. Even though he's not winning as much as he should, he'll go 3-0 in poffs. 60-40
SV: dunoks vs Éric - Both are doing great this season in SV but I do think dunoks is loading better teams, should be close. 55-45
SV: Drifting vs bleahey - bleahey got absolutely destroyed by lc enjoyer but fortunately he's beating Drifting. 55-45
SV: seraphz vs Colin - seraphz will likely load a team 6-0d by Mienfoo so Colin should be winning. 60-40
SWSH: Stecolomaxx vs Raichy - Steco is doing great this tour while Raichy is having an OK run, will favor Steco. 60-40
USUM: tazz vs boulicrok - Big highlight, should be a close game but bouli will look at tazz and remember his prime SCL Islanders version. 49-51
ORAS: Ampha vs Akaru Kokuyo - Ampha is playing well and Akaru is definetely not having his best run right now. 60-40
BW: Mister Magnus vs Nashrock - BA will probably load a better team and win, but might not show up if Nash is on a chinese TZ now. 60-40*
DPP: mayopockets vs reggg - Despite losing to mayo, reggg has the best DPP record atm and should be winning again. 40-60
ADV: Shing vs Alder ST - Alder is really hard working and is having a great run but this is the Shing tier so I'll favor him. 55-45

I was gonna make a post about kythr like I did when I faced Hacker but I was too lazy to likefarm. I think LCers know what’s at stake in our series this week so I won’t expand too much… here’s some predicts

Swooping Rufflets (3) vs (7) Remoraiders
SV: kythr vs Kaboom - kythr is favored here despite a middling record. Kaboom will need to step it up to beat him, totally possible
SV: dunoks vs Éric - 2-0 vs me so he must be doing something right. dunoks was a speed tie away from beating starsama and has been impressive, this is very close
SV: Drifting vs bleahey - bleahey’s last week’s game didn’t inspire confidence. Drifting won LCBC but idk his record in this tour I think it’s good
SV: seraphz vs Colin - seraphz is a good player but Colin probably is a top 10 player
SWSH: Stecolomaxx vs Raichy - idk lol actually both of them don’t look too great rn imo. I’m going to choose to believe in Raichy bc he is the better player form aside
USUM: tazz vs boulicrok - idk not more than 55-45 right? clear hl
ORAS: Ampha vs Akaru Kokuyo - I think Akaru’s better. Tazz can definitely outbuild them in ORAS though
BW: Mister Magnus vs Nashrock - BA can always just outprep but idk man… the overcook at times is so crazy. I think nashrock will bring a normal team and win
DPP: mayopockets vs reggg - expensive. Coinflip meme tier etc
ADV: Shing vs Alder ST - expensive. I genuinely think Alder’s going to just double crit and win but given a normal game Shing will win

I guess I don’t believe in some of the Rufflets’ slots I didn’t bother putting in percentages but the games I have them losing are close. I think they are overall the better team but they just have some difficult matchups and I think they’re diffed in a couple of matchups here. Cool semis matchup, definitely did not think we were going to face the cosmogs as 1st seed LOL
