Lead Typhlosion

I'mma start out by saying that I recently got back into the competitive scene for Pokemon and only have a vague clue of what threats are common from playing an hour or two on PS. Bear with me.

Typhlosion @ Choice Scarf
Blaze
Modest
252 SpA 252 Spe 4 HP
Eruption
Flamethrower
Focus Blast
HP Grass

My lead for every situation. While not the greatest thing on the face of the planet, I very much enjoy what he does. Scarf means that he'll be outspeeding pretty much anything that isn't a scarfed Jolteon, and Eruption will be doing a large chunk of damage to anything that doesn't resist it. Flamethrower's for STAB at lower HP and FB's for type coverage. From what I've seen, HP Grass will be doing about 45% to bulky Politoed, so that's the biggest counter to this. Otherwise, I've seen a lot of good things with this setup.

Donphan @ Lefties
Sturdy
Impish
252 HP 252 Def 4 Atk
Earthquake
Rapid Spin
Stealth Rock
Toxic

Standard SR/Spin Donphan. Toxic's there for punishing switchins and setups.

Scizor @ Chocie Band
Technician
Adamant
252 Atk 252 HP 4 SpD
Bullet Punch
Superpower
U-turn
Pursuit

Basically here to be my revenge killer with BP. I'm debating if I wanna roll with the HP EVs, but I'm gonna trust that bulky Scizor's better than sinking Speed EVs into his 166 Speed, lol.

Vaporeon @ Lefties
Water Absorb
Impish
252 Def 248 HP 8 SpA
Scald
Ice Beam
Wish
Substitute

Obligatory bulky water. Vap's here to avoid letting Salamence/Hydreigon/etc. from pooping all over my team. Also useful for being a switch-in on waters, which otherwise would give my team more trouble than they already do.

Salamence @ Life Orb
Moxie
Hasty
252 Atk 252 Spe 4 SpA
Dragon Claw
Earthquake
Aqua Tail
Draco Meteor

AT's here for Gliscor and for coverage. Might be willing to knock it down to FB/FT or something if I get yelled at enough for it.

Lucario @ Lefties
Justified
Adamant
252 HP 40 Atk 96 Def 96 SpD 24 Spe
Close Combat
Crunch
Extremespeed
Swords Dance

Bulky SD Lucario. I'm basically expecting to get yelled at here for the unorthodox EVs. 96 Def and SpD give Lucario 200 Def and SpD respectively, letting him take any hit that isn't Banded/Speced and super effective. This setup's designed to take a hit, use SD to get 2x Attack, and then either poop on everything. I've been playing a bit of PS, and like Leadphlosion, a lot of people don't see it coming or understand how deadly it can be.

I'd say the biggest issue with this team is that something like Genesect as a late-game sweeper gives me a gigantic headache. There are probably some other common threats that would give me trouble too. I'm making this thread for suggestions on how to handle said threats, since I'm still relatively green to the Gen 5 metagame. I'm willing to hear out any suggestions on switching out Pokemon as well. TIA, sorry if the formatting was funky.

Hi there and really cool team you got going on there! I have a whole ton of suggestions for this team to help make it reach its full potential and such, so please bear with me throughout this rate. Okay, onto the rate. When I look at your team, I see a huge weakness to Keldeo-R, most particularly the Scarf set with HP Ice, it can hit both Typhlosion and Donphan with a ridiculously high powered Hydro Pump, Salamence will get outsped and be one shot by an HP Ice, or even an Icy Wind, Lucario gets shut down by Secret Sword and Vaporeon can't take many of those STAB Secret Swords either. So, to help solve your Keldeo problem, I suggest that you replace your Donphan in favor of a Standard Starmie. Starmie easily resists both Keldeo's STAB with it's unique Water/Psychic typing and can 2HKO with either Psyshock or Psychic. Moving on with the team, another threat seems to be boosting dragons, most likely Dragonite and it's offensive set. Dragonite can easily set up on Typhlosion and set up 2 or 3 Dragon Dances and if Multiscale is intact and your Ice Beams can't kill it, you're in for a world of trouble. To help solve this problem, I suggest that you change Salamence's set to a Dragon Dance set over your current one. With this set, you can boost up against opposing Dragonite and since Salamence has the higher Speed stat, you can easily OHKO with a +1 Outrage or Dragon Claw. One last thing I'd change is Lucarios set to a 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd spread over your current one. The set gives Lucario much more chances to sweep late game. Also, don't forget to increase your descriptions to a paragraphs length at least. Well, that's all I can say for this team. I hope my advice helped. Good luck and have fun with your team!
