[SET COMMENTS]
Leafeon finds a niche on sun teams as a physical sweeper, utilizing its bulk to set up with Swords Dance and threaten foes with a Life Orb-boosted Solar Blade. Leaf Blade is a notable alternative over Solar Blade that, despite its lower damage output, provides a reliable STAB attack when sun is not up. Knock Off allows Leafeon to weaken Grass-resistant foes such as Centiskorch, Ferroseed, and Garbodor. Double-Edge gives Leafeon coverage against problematic foes like Skuntank, Altaria, and the aforementioned Centiskorch and Garbodor.

Sun setters such as Uxie, Liepard, and Exeggutor are mandatory, as they enable Leafeon to outspeed the entire unboosted metagame and let it utilize Solar Blade. Leafeon can form an attacking core with other sun sweepers such as Shiftry and Ivysaur, with all weakening each other's shared checks in Pokemon such as Skuntank. Fire-types such as Centiskorch and Rapidash can also take advantage of sun to boost their STAB moves and threaten foes such as Ferroseed and Tangela. Ground-types such as Piloswine and Rhydon can take advantage of Poison- and Fire-types that Leafeon invites in and use that opportunity to fire off a strong hit or set Stealth Rock; in return, they appreciate Leafeon threatening opposing Water-types like Wishiwashi and Basculin.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Weather Ball targets physically defensive Grass-types like Tangela, Ferroseed, and Gourgeist-S, but they already do not appreciate taking a Knock Off or Double-Edge. Synthesis provides Leafeon with sun-boosted recovery and counteracts the residual damage from Life Orb.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Grass-resistant Pokemon**: Pokemon such as Altaria, Ferroseed, and Tangela resist Solar Blade and are able to pressure Leafeon with status. However, they dislike being crippled by Knock Off and weakened by Double-Edge.

**Poison-types**: Although they do not appreciate Knock Off or Double-Edge, Poison-types such as Garbodor and Skuntank are able to take unboosted hits from Leafeon and retaliate with their STAB moves.

**Fire-types**: Fire-types such as Centiskorch and Rapidash threaten Leafeon, although they must be wary of Knock Off and Double-Edge.

**Residual Damage and Priority**: Recoil from Life Orb and Double-Edge, as well as residual damage from entry hazards, limits Leafeon's survivability and makes it susceptible to being revenge killed by foes such as Kangaskhan and Piloswine.

Weather Ball targets physically defensive Grass-types like Tangela, Ferroseed, and Gourgeist-S, but they already do not appreciate tanking a Knock Off or Double-Edge. (Ferroseed is one of the major targets for Weather Ball) Synthesis provides Leafeon with recovery and counteracts the residual damage from Life Orb.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Poison-types**: Although they do not appreciate Knock Off or Double-Edge, Poison-types such as Garbodor and Skuntank are able to take unboosted hits from Leafeon and retaliate with their STAB moves. (Skuntank takes like 80 from unboosted double edge and easily goes down to it at +2)

**Fire-types**: Fire-types such as Centiskorch and Rapidash are able to threaten Leafeon, although they must be wary of Knock Off and Double-Edge.

**Grass-resistant Pokemon**: Pokemon such as Altaria, Ferroseed, and Tangela resist Solar Blade and are able to pressure Leafeon with status. However, they dislike being crippled by Knock Off and being weakened by Double-Edge. [move this to be the first point since these Pokemon are Leafeon's most consistent defensive checks]
